Moving Painting

Yesterday, I received my moving painting in the mail from Jolly Redd. I donated it to the museum, and Blathers confirmed that it was authentic. So I went into the art gallery, and I was surprised to find Louie there already, taking a long, hard look at it.

Louie stares at the moving painting.
I guess it really moved him.

By the way, it’s good to see that villagers can be found in the museum again. I’ll need to keep that in mind the next time I can’t find someone.

Gulliver was in town yesterday, so I gathered up his phone pieces for him. And then today, I received my reward in the mail: It was a turban.

I found a depressed hamster named Rodney at the campsite today. He just looked sooo bored.

Rodney: Ahoy. Rodney is my name, and traveling, doing brainteasers, and dance are my passions three.
Yeah, I can see the passion on your face.

K.K. Slider was in town for his usual Saturday night show, and I asked him to play a random song. He performed K.K. Country for me, Apollo, Agent S, and Louie.

K.K. Slider performs for Louie, Jeff, Apollo, and Agent S in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I found a lost item on the ground near Apple’s house, and it was a bag with a simple design. I asked Marina about it, and she said it look like Tia’s bag. So I took it over to Tia’s house and gave it to her. She thanked me for returning it, and she rewarded me with a basic teacher’s desk.

Tia: I didn't think I'd see this again. I feel like I owe you big time!
Bones was also visiting Tia, as you can see.

After that, I completed a few Nook Miles+ goals, and then wrapped up my night in Forest. I hope you’re all doing well.

Hornsby’s Last Ride

Agent S asked me to play a treasure hunt game tonight, and I was up to the challenge. However, she only gave me three minutes to find the buried item, instead of the usual six.

Agent S: So, how about you and me, we do a treasure hunt and turn this day from mild...into POP-STAR WILD?

I found a dig spot right away, and I thought it was about to be the quickest treasure hunt ever. But of course, it was just a fossil.

I dig up a fossil as the owl flies away.
Hey, owl!

It ended up taking me about two minutes to find the item; it was next to Hornsby’s house.

I found treasure!

I returned it to Agent S, and she gave me the contents: a V-neck sweater. (A V-neck sweater is “POP-STAR WILD?!”)

Hornsby told me a very interesting story today. He prefers riding in vehicles, because it’s easier than walking. But the last time he was on a plane, he was just enjoying chilling and watching the clouds go by. But then he started thinking that the clouds were cotton candy!

Hornsby: But then I thought the clouds might be cotton candy, and I wanted to go eat some real bad!

He wanted to eat them, so he actually tried to get out the door! 😮 Fortunately, he couldn’t figure out how to get the door open until the plane landed. So he’s not allowed on planes any more. Wow. That story escalated quickly.

Hornsby: Anyhoo, that's why I'm not allowed on planes anymore...

Jolly Redd was in town, so I made sure to check out his art. He had a real jolly painting, a moving painting that I think was real, a fake wistful painting, and a scenic painting that I think was fake. I purchased the moving painting, so I think I’ll be donating it tomorrow.

Wisp was also on the island, and I gathered up his five spirits as I played. Once I found them all, I returned them to Wisp and he gave me an inflatable sofa.

See you all next time.

September Seasonal Items

Some new seasonal items are available now, including a dango and moon cakes for moon-viewing day, and some songpyeon for the Korean festival of Chuseok. The moon rug from last year has also returned. You have until September 21st to order the items.

Dango: 1,100 bells.

Wisp was in town on Sunday night, and I gathered up his spirits for him. In return, he gave me a red perforated-board wall.

Yesterday, Bianca the white tiger (or snow leopard) was camping at the campsite.

Bianca, at the campsite: Hi there! I'm Bianca, and I'm totes camping on your awesome island!

I like her a lot, but still not quite enough that I would kick anyone out for her. I try not to force anyone out like that, but perhaps someday there will be a situation in which I’ll do it.

Saharah was in town, so I bought a mystery wallpaper and a mystery flooring; I didn’t bother with rugs this time. I ended up with a security-monitors wall and circuit-board flooring. Even though I like them, I already have them both.

Today, the Nooklings had a brine-shrimp aquarium (Sea Monkeys!).

Timmy: Seems like you're interested in a brine-shrimp aquarium.

I thought it would make a perfect gift for Marina, so I bought it and wrapped it up. Marina seemed to enjoy it, and she gave me a text shirt in return. I’ll have to check tomorrow (or another day soon) to see if she displays the aquarium in her house.

I posted a new “Quick Comparisons” video today, comparing more aspects of each game in the Animal Crossing series. That includes the number of villager species, types of flowers, types of fruit, letter storage, and more. I hope you enjoy it!
