Last night, Wisp was in town. He gave me a gray-striped wall for collecting and returning his spirits.
Hippeux the hideous, hideous hippo was at the campsite. I was not interested in feeding him. I mean, inviting him to town. Neither of those things.
Today, poor Midge told me that she fell into a pitfall the other day. The worst part is that it took her all morning to climb out of it! 😮
So she cheered herself up by fishing…in the sky.
When I visited Bones, he told me he’s such a bad cook that he has even burned water!
You must have been steamed.
Flick was in town, and I had a bunch of bugs in storage to sell him. He gave me 170k for the 31 insects. Summer is the ideal time for Flick; I wish he could show up more often in summer. There are so many bugs to catch and sell!
Celeste was in town tonight, and at first she didn’t give me anything. But then I realized my pockets were full. Oops. 😛 Once I made room, she gave me a DIY recipe for some sci-fi flooring.
I worked on my race some more, and it’s probably about 98% complete now. It just needs a few cosmetic changes. I’m tentatively planning on revealing more on Wednesday, and then hosting the races possibly on Thursday afternoon (if the weather is sunny in Forest). But the timing is still subject to change.
Yesterday, Gullivarrr was washed up on the beach. So I went diving to retrieve his communicator for him.
Today, I did some early afternoon fishing….and you betta believe it paid off! I caught my first betta in the river!
I donated it to the museum, and there’s only one more fish I need…the golden trout. But I can’t catch it until September, so I can now focus on bugs for the summer.
I neglected to mention this the other day, but you can now find a sunflower crown and a sunflower rug available as seasonal items from Nook Shopping. You have until Monday to order them.
When I checked my mail, I found a red sea captain’s coat from Gullivarrr.
At Agent S’s house, Apollo was hanging out with his nose in Agent S’s dollhouse. Literally.
K.K. Slider was in town for his Saturday night show, so I requested “Drivin’,” which is one of his secret songs.
If I’m not mistaken, I just need one more song that I’ll probably request next week.
I’ve finished removing what was left of my Mario obstacle course this weekend, and I’ve made significant progress on my new race. In fact, it’s probably 80-85% done. And it will be a race, not an obstacle course. It’s going to be simple, but hopefully it will still be fun. I’m hoping to have the race one day next week. If you’re on Twitter, follow jvgsjeff for more info when the time comes.
Yesterday, Louie asked me to make a delivery to Eloise. I agreed, and I took over the gift…which was a bidet. Eloise loved it! She said it was so elegant, so sleek, and so HER. 😂😂
She rewarded me with a soccer-uniform top.
Yesterday, Jolly Redd was in town for the first time in June. Unfortunately, his only real work of art was a wistful painting (which I already have in the museum). I bought it anyway though, and I’ll add it to the haul of prizes that I’ll give away whenever I make a new race or obstacle course. (I have not started on one yet, by the way.)
Wisp was also in town, and I gathered up his ghostly spirits in exchange for a school desk. I’m guessing it must have been a color variation I didn’t have already.
Today, C.J. was in town. He wanted me to catch three small-fry fish, so I rounded up three crucian carp to complete the challenge. I grabbed some fish out of storage, and sold him 21 fish for 273,900 bells.
Midge asked me for a new catchphrase, so I told her to say “in the sky.”
Tonight, I went over to Sam’s town of Seattle. He was having a birthday party, and we were joined by Jac, Jesse, Jessica, Matthew, and Nicky.
Jac asked if anyone wanted an iron garden bench DIY, and I did! Believe it or not, I’ve been waiting to get that recipe for a long time! My villagers never gave it to me, and it’s not even a snooty recipe! At one point, I waited to remodel Peach Park because I was wanting that recipe first (though I eventually went on ahead with Peach Park 2.0 even without it). So I’m really glad to have it now. Thanks, Jac! 🙂
After Sam dug holes for all to fall into, we headed back to his house to celebrate. Happy birthday, Sam!
But that wasn’t the only special occasion in town; Tangy was also celebrating a birthday! Happy birthday, Tangy!
You deserve it; you’re a firecracker!
Oddly enough, she later had some dialogue talking about her exploding! 😮
Sam gave us each an orange to eat in front of Tangy. 😛 I’m not sure if we were threatening her or what, but it sure was a nice, juicy orange! 🍊
Jessica left, and the rest of us watched K.K. Slider perform his birthday song for Sam.
A couple people dressed up as me, and some of us ran around as King Tut. We had a net fight, played some basketball (sort of), and showed off some fish. Even my ocean sunfish showed off a shark! 😉
After two hours in Seattle, I left for the night. But I had a good time! Happy birthday, Sam!
I posted a new video today, taking a look at how my island has changed from the first few weeks to now. I hope you enjoy it!
Note: There will not be a Friday Night Forest this week.
