What Are You Wearing?!

On Monday, Static asked me to deliver a gift to Rio. It was a kung-fu tee, which Rio didn’t think was much of a “pop-star” look. Still, she tried it on and asked my opinion. But there was one small problem…

Rio, standing behind a workbench: What do you think?

I couldn’t see it! And since I was mid-conversation, I couldn’t rotate the camera. 😛 I told her it looked great though, just in case it did. 😆 Rio gave me a hanten jacket to thank me.

Yesterday, Annalisa the anteater was camping at the campsite. She seemed nice, but I wasn’t interested in having her move in.

She would’ve loved the steady stream of ants at my rotten turnip, though. (I keep it just outside my house most of the time. The ants help with the Nook Miles+ goals for catching bugs.)

Today, I ran into Bob on the beach, and I couldn’t help but wonder what on Earth he was wearing!

Bob: I always dig running into you, cupcake! How's things?
Maybe he works at an Elf-serve diner.

It was an aquamarine diner apron with a green Buddy the Elf hat. It’s just a weird combination. And even though they’re both green, they’re completely different shades that don’t match at all. 😛

C.J. was in town today, and I caught three big-time fish in a row to complete his seasports challenge. I then grabbed ten fish from storage and sold them to him for 95k.

C.J.: Oh, you got a whole school for me? All together that'll be... 95,250 bells. Deal?

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week:

  • Last Friday, Wisp gave me some frilly socks.
  • Last Saturday, K.K. performed K.K. Waltz for me.
  • I bought a bunch of turnips Sunday, and I sold them for a small profit on Tuesday.
  • On Monday, I sold 29 bugs to Flick for 127,500 bells.
  • On Wednesday, Gullivarrr sent me a pirate eye patch.
  • My savings balance reached 78 million bells Wednesday.

Campers and Turnips

Last Friday, Norma the cow was camping at the campsite. She seemed nice, but I was not interested in asking her to moo move in.

Norma, at the campsite: Hi there! Do you live here? You're so lucky--I'm just visiting, hoof hoo.
I’m lucky that you’re just visiting? 😆

On Saturday evening, Ankha congratulated me on the fishing I did. But I was confused, because I hadn’t done any fishing!

Ankha: Good work doing all that fishing, touchdown. You made it look easy.

It turns out it was the day of the fishing tournament. However, it had already ended by the time I started up the game. So I don’t think Isabelle told me about it since it was already over by that point (or if she did, I just skimmed past it without it sinking in). 😆

Last week, I sold my turnips for a small profit. And this week, I bought even more. I purchased 8,300 turnips for a price of 95 bells apiece.

On Tuesday, Ketchup sent me this strawberry umbrella in the mail. And it’s such a Ketchup thing, with the little leaf and stem on top. Here’s a picture of me holding it while talking to Gulliver.

Gulliver: M-my, uh... OH MY GOSH!
Do you like it, or hate it?
Oh, he just lost his phone.

Yesterday, Axel the elephant was camping at the campsite. I like him more than I like Norma, but still not enough to inquire about kicking anyone out.

Axel, at the campsite: Do you live here? Awesome to meet you. I'm Axel.

Today, the Nooklings were paying 155 bells for turnips. I sold them all for 1,286,500 bells. I’m inching closer to the halfway point of my Nook Miles goal; currently 4.8m/10m. I need to keep buying lots of turnips like I have the past couple weeks, and maybe I’ll actually complete my goal this year. 😛

When I put my bells into my bank account, my balance topped 77 million bells (77.5 million to be more accurate).

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week:

  • Last Friday, Gullivarrr sent me some pirate boots.
  • K.K. Slider played K.K. Dirge for me and Midge on Sunday night.
  • Gulliver sent me a turban yesterday.

See you next time!

Billow Clouds

Last Tuesday, I spotted the northern lights up in the sky (I think for the first time this season). I went up to my favorite stargazing spot and enjoyed the view. 🙂

On Friday morning, the Nooklings were paying a whopping 571 bells for turnips! I sold my turnips for nearly 1.2 million bells! That helped a lot with my Nook Miles goal, although I’m still not even halfway to the 10 million bells of profit required.

At the campsite, I found Cousteau the French frog camping out. I was not interested in asking him to explore the depths of Forest.

Cousteau: Yo! How's it going? They call me Mega-Arm Cousteau.

On Sunday morning, I bought 6,840 turnips from Daisy Mae at a price of 93 bells apiece. I believe this was the most turnips I’ve ever bought at once. My empty “2024” area provides a convenient place to store them all until I sell.

My pile of turnips on the ground.

Yesterday, I found a scallop while diving. Pascal popped up to lecture me on the difference between morals and ethics. But his explanation wasn’t quite what I expected.

Pascal: People ask what's the difference between morals and ethics. Only five out of six letters, maaaan!

Today, I was surprised when I looked up at the sky. I saw some clouds I don’t think I’ve seen before! At least, not that I remember. They look like stripes in the sky (or a rib cage), but apparently they’re called billow clouds.

My two most colorful villagers (Rio and Ankha) were hanging out at the plaza, both doing yoga (or at least, stretching). But after a few moments, they were distracted by a lone snowflake. They both stopped to watch it go by.

Rio and Ankha stop exercising to watch a snowflake fly by.

Here are a few other quick notes about the past week in Forest:

  • Last Wednesday, I sold 38 bugs to Flick for over 250k.
  • By Friday, my savings balance topped 76 million bells.
  • On Saturday, I told K.K. Slider I was feeling blue, and he played K.K. Condor for me.
  • Bob was sick yesterday, so I gave him some medicine. In return, he gave me a bathroom towel rack.
  • Today, Midge changed her nickname for me from “cookie” to “cupcake.” Either way, it’s pretty sweet.
  • I completed C.J.’s challenge, and then sold him 12 fish for 89,250 bells.

See you next time!
