Punchy’s Birthday

Sunday was Easter, which is known as Bunny Day in Animal Crossing. Sasha seemed pretty excited about it, although I’m wondering if he thought it was about him. 😉

Sasha: HOORAY AND YAY FOR BUNNY DAAAY!

The villagers are dressed in costumes, and Rio looked she just hatched out of the egg outfit she was wearing. 😛

Rio: It's FINALLY Bunny Day! We both know what that means. Time to hunt down some eggs, Jeff!
I’m looking at one right now.

Of course, Zipper T. Bunny was also in town. He wanted me to craft all of the Bunny Day DIYs, which I’ve obviously done before. So he gave me a Bunny Day wand. He also wanted one egg of each type; I gave him those and he rewarded with a Bunny Day basket. And with that, my Bunny Day tasks were already complete.

Zipper: It's a Bunny Day basket!

Last night, K.K. Slider had a rare Monday night show, performing K.K. Milonga for me, Sasha, Static, Agent S, and Punchy.

Today was Punchy’s birthday, and I headed over to attend his party. His next-door neighbor Louie was also there.

Punchy: Welcome to my, ya know, my birthday party!

For a gift, I gave him a toy box that I bought at the shop. It has a bunch of toys in it, that a cat should enjoy playing with. He really seemed to enjoy it. 🙂

Punchy: Oh wow, like... Whaa?! This is a toy box, right?!
Happy birthday, Punchy!

Gulliver was on the beach today, and I dug up his five communicator parts for him. He’ll be sending me another reward in the mail soon.

Fish & Egg Tourney

On Thursday, Gullivarrr sent me another pirate beard in the mail.

The spring fishing tournament was held today, and I decided to participate for just one run. But when the tourney takes place during “egg week,” it’s really quite a pain. Some of the “fish” are actually eggs instead. And yes, you can avoid them if you remember that medium-sized shadows are eggs, but their presence still means you have to keep walking farther to find one that actually is a fish.

Since this isn't a fish, I'll just tuck this away for now.

So…I ended up with only three fish (five points). 😛 It was not my proudest fishing moment. 😆

C.J.: SPLASH: That's 5 points!

Later on, Bones did a special “dance” to congratulate me on catching all the bugs in the game. His “dance” was really just him using the joy reaction and repeating things like “woogie buggy.” He’s an odd pup.

Bones: Woogie buggy woogie buggy! Buzz buzz buzz! Buggy woogie buggy woogie! Buzz buzz buzz!

Punchy told me something that he does every night at bedtime: He plays a game called lost cave explorer, where he crawls around under his bed.

Punchy: I'll play lost cave explorer! That's when I get under my bed and crawl around in the dark.

He even said he stays there until the sun comes up, which makes his bed rather useless if he’s not sleeping on it. 😛 Then again, he is a cat after all, so it really makes sense if you look at it that way.

K.K. Slider wasn’t around tonight, due to the fishing tourney held earlier in the day.

If you enjoyed the video I posted last week, about A.I. describing my ACNH screenshots, you may also enjoy this new one I posted today. It’s shows some of my City Folk screenshots instead, but the humor is similar. It even thought I was Sonic the Hedgehog at one point! 😆

See you next time!

Double Tarantula Trouble

On Sunday, I spotted something unsightly and unwanted: Zipper T. Bunny! I tried to kill it with my net.

Jeff hits Zipper with a net.

He was telling me about Bunny Day coming up next Sunday, and about the plague of eggs that he has hidden in land, sea, trees, rocks, and air…everywhere, really. He also gave me ten water eggs to get me started.

But I hate this time of year when eggs infest everything we do on the island. You have to work harder to achieve many Nook Miles+ goals, because many wood choppings, stones, fish, etc., are replaced with eggs. Ugh.

Yesterday, I found myself up against two tarantulas with my net drawn. I had no hope; there was no possible way this was going to end well for me. 😛

Two tarantulas side by side, both ready to attack me.

I caught one of them, but the other one caught me. After I recovered, I returned to that area and saw C.J. in another tricky spot! These special characters keep doing this lately! 😉

C.J. stands on a narrow platform in my vaulting race course.

Unless he was that other tarantula in disguise… 😛

Today, Gullivarrr was in town, and I went diving to find his communicator. But just like last time, it was taking a while. In fact, I found Pascal before I found Gullivarrr’s phone! Pascal was talking about Stew’s stew, which is dialogue that I’ve seen before.

Pascal: Which came first, folks named Stew, or stew? And if it was stew...what's that mean for my friend Stew's stew?

I know Pascal has other sayings I haven’t seen yet, so I wish he wouldn’t repeat himself. Anyway, he gave me a pearl in exchange for the scallop I found. As for Gullivarrr, it took me seven dives to find his phone. Just like last time.

Wisp was also around tonight. I recovered his spirits, and he gave me a metal pot.

See you again soon!
