Curtain Partition

On Saturday night, I had Bran and Beth over for a few more vaulting pole races. (I needed more race footage for a video.) They raced three times, with Bran winning twice and Beth once.

Afterwards, they shopped, and then we went over to the plaza for K.K. Slider’s performance of Forest Life.

I later posted the video of some vaulting pole races. Check it out!

On Monday, I bought this curtain partition at Nook’s Cranny. It can be closed or open (slightly), as you can see here.

Peek-a-boo.

It’s a pretty cool item, and I can imagine hiding a skeleton or other spooky items behind it around Halloween. Or it could be funny to use it with some of the naked statues. 😆😆😆

Agent S asked me to catch a carp for her, and I agreed to help. It took me a bit longer than I hoped (mainly because I was looking in the river at first, not ponds), but I did eventually track one down. Agent S then rewarded me with another copy of her photo. 🙂

New Horizons got a new (minor) update recently, so I checked to see if they patched the glitch that lets us enter a bathtub (or an outdoor bath, which I recently installed on a cliff). Fortunately, the glitch still works. 🙂

Glitching into the outdoor bath.

As of today, maple leaves can now be seen floating around town. You can also catch some of them and use them for crafting.

This maple leaf is such a pretty red. It's like the exact color of fall!

The Nooklings were paying 201 bells for turnips tonight, so I sold what I had (only 30 of them). I also let Xavier come over and sell his turnips as well.

Punchy was wearing my “Where’s Waldo?” hat, and I’m not a fan of how it looked on him. Let him have his ears!

Punchy: Guess what? I'm making lunch all by myself. Isn't that AMAZING?!

If you’re wondering, he was cooking some apple jelly; I didn’t need the recipe.

I later crafted my first forest flooring, I bought some coffee at the Roost, and I did some Nook Miles+ grinding before wrapping up my game for the night. 🙂

See you all next time! 🙂

November FNF

After helping Gulliver out yesterday, he sent me a katana in the mail today. It’s certainly better than most of the stuff he sends out.

I finally got to see the inside of Punchy’s house today. It’s a cute house, and he had Forest Life playing in here. 👍

Punchy: A huh huh huh, welcome to my snack castle!

At 10:00 tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Beth and Xavier were the first to arrive, and they tried out my new vaulting pole race.

Xavier and Beth race on my pole vaulting race course.

Beth won the first race. Next, I beat Xavier, and then I beat Beth. I may have home-court advantage though, so it’s probably not completely fair. 😉

Around 10:30, Nami and Jac also came over. They raced each other on my pole vaulting course too.

Jac won in a very close race.

We got to talking about the recently departed Beardo, and I dropped some bad news on them: One of them will likely get Beardo at some point. 😆

Jeff: One of you will get him now.

We played a 5-player round of sumo, and Xavier was victorious.

Xavier wins a game of sumo.

We all fell into the extra pits, and then Nami played tic-tac-toe against herself. (She didn’t win.) 😆

After that, we did some glitching around the bathtub. Beth did something I didn’t realize was even possible: She glitched off the cliff! So cool!

Beth glitches and falls off a cliff.

So I tried it too, and I eventually did it as well. I didn’t even break any bones during the fall.

I later had some fun with the King Tut mask and camera mode over at the moon-viewing area.

Shortly after midnight, Jac and Nami said they were going to leave. I decided to just wrap up the session for the night. Thanks to everyone who came! 🙂

I may post a video of the vaulting pole obstacle course within the next few days.

First Cat

On Sunday night, I decided to use three Nook Miles Tickets to look for a new villager. If I didn’t find anyone good after that, I would take my chances and wait for Monday. The three potential villagers I encountered were Tucker, Queenie, and Cole.

Tucker, Queenie, and Cole.

I chose not to adopt any of them.

Yesterday, I found a “Sold” sign on the empty plot; Punchy the lazy cat is moving in.

This spot reserved for Punchy's new home. -Nook Inc.

I know he seems to be fairly popular, but he was never one of my favorites. He’s not bad, though. For a random move-in, I certainly could have done much worse.

Today, I went over to meet my new neighbor. Punchy told me he’s from Solstice, which is Timo’s town. Welcome to Forest! 🙂

Punchy: Hi there! I'm Punchy! I'm from Solstice!

Believe it or not, Punchy is the first cat villager I’ve had in Forest! Well at least the first house cat; I have had a couple of tigers.

As I ran by Rio and headed into the shop, she called out to me. But it was too late, I had already started the door-opening animation.

Rio: Jeff! Over here!

She was gone when I came back out, so I’ll never know what she wanted. 😛

Sasha told me the story of Cinderella, but he said the prince figured out who the slipper belonged to, because it smelled like Cinderella’s feet! I certainly didn’t remember that part of the story. 😆

Sasha, Oh yeah, it was her slipper! And the prince figured out who she was because it smelled like her feet!

Then Sasha revealed that the prince was a dog, and that’s how he tracked down her scent. 😛

Sasha: Oh! The prince was a dog! Did I say that? It's why the smell part was important.

Are you sure this is the story of Cinderella? Or is it Cindersmella?

Plucky was camping at the campsite…but I didn’t have a taste for chicken today. 😛

Plucky, at the campsite: Oh! Hope I'm not interrupting you or nothin'.

Just a note for people on my friend roster: I am planning on hosting Friday Night Forest this week! I should be opening at 10 p.m. Eastern time. (If plans should happen to change, I’ll edit this blog entry to say so.)
