Spooky Cookies

On Wednesday, Gulliver sent me a sombrero in the mail. Flick was in town, and I grabbed 20 bugs out of storage; he paid me 187,500 bells for them all.

On Thursday, Able Sisters had this blue and black top hat. I decided to buy it and put it on.

Yesterday, Wisp was up on the small cliff I made for background waterfalls behind the sumo ring. I had to use my ladder to climb up the back of the structure just to talk to him. 😂

After I retrieved his spirits for him, he gave me a capsule-toy machine.

October started today, and Nook’s Cranny has some Halloween decorations up. They’ve also started selling spooky items. But one change caught me off-guard: Marina gave me a new recipe for spooky cookies!

Marina: Teehee, I'm making my specialty! It's spooky cookies.

I was thinking the salmon recipes from last month were probably the last recipes we’d get from last year’s Version 2.0 update, so this was a nice surprise. 🎃 You need one pumpkin of each color to make the cookies, along with some flour.

K.K. Slider was at the plaza tonight, and I asked him for a random song. He played Bubblegum K.K. for me and Ketchup.

K.K.: Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little Bubblegum K.K.?

Even though I was originally planning to have my obstacle course done in September, that has not happened. In fact, I haven’t even really worked on it at all yet…oops. 😛 I just haven’t had the motivation for it, to be honest. So I have no idea when it’ll be done. Just don’t expect it anytime soon.

Anyway, I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. See you all next time!

Beardo’s Birthday

On Sunday night, K.K. Slider was in town. He played K.K. Lovers for me and Bones.

K.K. Right on. I'm tuned up and ready to roll. Who's in the mood for a little K.K. Lovers?
Wait, we’re just friends… 😋

Today is Beardo’s birthday, so I headed over to the recycle box at Resident Services to look for some trash to give him. When I made it to Beardo’s party, I was disappointed to see Static there. He was saying “Go, go, Beardo,” but he didn’t mean it the same way that I would. 😛 He was actually cheering him on, which I could never do.

Static: Go, go, Beardo!

Beardo asked for a present, and I gave him an empty can. However, he thought it was a joke! He laughed, and then handed it back to me.

Beardo: Ha HA! Now this is funny. You did mean for it to be a joke, right?
I can assure you it’s no joke.

So I again had to choose a gift for him. Fortunately, I brought a backup: a cardboard box. 📦 He actually seemed to like it!

Beardo: Hey, I won't say no to a cardboard box.
I ship it.

When I spoke with Static again, he seemed more relatable this time. He admitted it was a struggle to get through a party with Beardo like this. He was glad I showed up to help make it through. 😛

Static: Parties like this can be a struggle for me to get through, sometimes. I'm glad you were here with me.

After the party, I visited Rio. She was shocked to see I had a sea bass in my pockets.

Rio: A sea bass?! GET! OUT!

But she wasn’t telling me to leave, she was letting me know she wanted the sea bass! She offered me 600 bells for it, and I gladly agreed to sell it.

I found both Celeste and Gulliver on the island tonight. Celeste gave me a large star fragment, while Gulliver promised to send me a gift in the mail (after I recovered his phone parts).

See you all next time!

Nicky’s Party

On Wednesday, Gullivarrr sent me another pirate-ship helm in the mail. Not bad.

Yesterday, Agent S urged me to take off her bandages! Well, sort of.

Agent S: I'm really hoping you'll take my head bandages off my hands.
They’re supposed to go on your head, not your hands.

Fortunately, she was just giving me some bandages; they weren’t actually in use at the time. 😂

Last night, I headed over to Nicky’s town for her birthday party. Jesse, Matthew, Jac, and Sam also joined in. Jesse put Nicky’s head on a platter pizza!

While I was there, I learned that the bug cage is actually a clothes closet!

Heh heh. There's an outfit in here called, Kiki & Lala.

I spotted a buried pitfall that wasn’t mine, but I decided to help lure someone into the trap. I said “Look at this snail!” and Sam came over and fell into it. 😛

Sam fell into a pitfall.

I guess I could consider this revenge for when he pitfalled me in his town last month. 😛

We headed over to Nicky’s house for some cake and photos before Nicky wrapped up the party.

Celebrating Nicky's birthday.

Happy birthday, Nicky!

After completing a few Nook Miles+ achievements tonight, my balance topped two million miles!

Nook Miles: 2,000,030.

The Bug-Off is coming up tomorrow, but I’m not sure if I’ll participate. I think I may sit this one out for a change. But good luck to you all, and I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂
