Hopper Bullies Big Top

I received a letter from Boondox on Saturday night. My donation has helped them repair their post office. Hmm, I wonder what happened to it in the first place.

Dear Jeff, Thanks to your kind donation, we made some much-needed repairs to our post office! -From Boondox
Maybe one of the employees went postal.

At the Roost, K.K. performed K.K. Rock for me. After the show, I put the aircheck in my stereo at home. Nook’s shop was already closed for the night, so I didn’t do much else on Saturday.

But of course, I played again tonight. I visited Big Top, and he was angry because Hopper called him a pesky little bug.

Big Top: That big meanie Hopper called me a pesky litle bug! What's the big deal?
Little?

Big Top was so upset that he had to calm himself by eating an ice cream…or six.

Big Top: So I ate a vanilla ice cream! Or six! Whatever!

Crazy Redd was in town, and he had a dainty painting for sale. I already had one of those in the museum, so I didn’t waste my money.

I ran into Hopper, and he was feeling down; he even called himself pathetic. Well, he probably deserves it for picking on Big Top. But don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll be back to his rude, grumpy self before long.

Hopper: ...Oh, slushie. I'm just straight-up pathetic.

Outside, Curly was talking about something that’s long been in Animal Crossing games: The fact that people (and animals) do a backflip when they change their clothes. 😛

Curly: You can do backflips while changing shirts?! SO RAD, nyoink!

At town hall, I made a 50,000 bell donation to Boondox. Pelly told me it was flu season in Boondox, so my donation will help everyone there feel better. Wait, I’m paying 50,000 bells just for flu medicine?

Pelly: It's flu season in Boondox, so supply convos are bringing medicine daily.

The Flower Fest was still underway on Saturday, and Curly warned me not to trample his flowers. But he admitted that’s what he was doing to everyone else’s flowers!

Curly: I'm doing that to everyone else's flowers! I NEED THAT TROPHY, nyoink!

A “Talking to Myself” message on the bulletin board seems to continue the rivalry between Pelly and Phyllis. They always seem to insult each other on these type of posts. 😛

-Talking to Myself- If my life were a comic, I'd be in the 2nd or 3rd issue. It'd be a romance! My sister's would be sad.

Baabara was sick, so I gave her some medicine. She told me to make sure she has lipstick on if she passes out. Yeah, right.

Baabara: So very sick... If I pass out here, please make sure I have some lipstick on.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Western for me. And of course, he also gave me the aircheck to take home.

I played Wild World again tonight, and Crazy Redd was in town this week. I used the password “get milk here” to enter his tent, and I saw that he had a warm painting up for sale. Unfortunately, that’s not a piece I still need for the museum.

The final results of the Flower Fest were posted on the bulletin board. Hopper was the big winner! So I guess Curly’s cheating didn’t pay off. 😛

**Final Results** May the green laurels of Flower Fest victory rest upon the roof of Hopper's garden!!

Hopper and Bud both asked me to catch fish for them. I caught a horse mackerel for Hopper and a sea bass for Bud. Hopper gave me a giant dharma, and Bud rewarded me with a cabin wall.

I ran into Curly, and he surprised me by giving me his photo!

Curly: I'm not gonna get misty about it...but I AM gonna give you my photo!

I went home and put it in my upstairs room with my other villager pics. Curly’s favorite quote is “Get fired up!” 😀

Then at town hall, I made a 40,000 bell donation to the town of Boondox. Pelly told me that the Boondoxians are working the land so that they can grow vegetables. But some of the residents are distracted by the free dirt. Yum yum! 😀

Pelly: Of course, a few get distracted by all the free dirt... Anyhow, thank you!

See you next time!

First Boondox Donation

On Saturday, Big Top pinged me, interrupting me while I was hitting the money rock. But the money didn’t stop because I accidentally talked to him. The bells just stopped coming out of the rock once Big Top reached the opposite side of the rock (even though I kept hitting it)! So I only got 300 bells!

Big Top interrupts me.

He gave me a free shirt, but that wasn’t much consolation. 😛

At town hall, I made my very first donation to the town of Boondox. I handed over 10,000 bells.

Pelly: So, you would like to make a donation to the town of Boondox, is that correct?

And at the Roost, K.K. Slider played some heavy metal music for me before I ended my game on Saturday night.

I picked up the game again today, and I received a letter from Boondox. The residents there told me they got to eat croissants today instead of day-old donuts. Wait, is that even an upgrade? Well, at least they’re not eating grilled dirt.

Dear Jeff, Thanks to your gracious donation, instead of the usual day-old donuts, today we ate croissants! -From Boondox

They also sent me a green feather as a gift, and I put it on right away. I still haven’t earned the first feather in City Folk, despite playing that game for 9.5 years! It’s much easier in Wild World.

Anyway, the Flower Fest began today. Curly said he didn’t care about it, because he’s not into girly stuff. 😛

Curly: Not that I'm into any of that girly stuff, nyoink.

At the nursing home town hall, they let Tortimer outside today. He told me about the Flower Fest, and he gave me a yellow rose bag. However, I don’t really plan on participating in the festival this year.

Tortimer: Hi there, young Jeff! Starting today, Forest is a-bloom!

The new Message of the Week informed me that mice can indeed move mountains! It just takes some time. 😛

*Message of the Week* Mice can move a mountain! But it does take time.

Baabara was sick, so I gave her some medicine. She sparkled as she drank it down.

Baabara sparkles as she takes her medicine.

Once I was done making my rounds, I went fishing in the river. Believe it or not, I actually caught two new fish today: A guppy and a bluegill.

I caught a bluegill! Why's the little guy so sad?

At the museum, I donated both fish. Blathers told me that female guppies are quite dull…much like his sister Celeste. Wow, that’s harsh.

Blathers: Indeed, the females are quite dull...much like Celeste, always stargazing.

The Flower Fest continues through Sunday, so good luck if you’re giving it a try! See you next time!
