Blue Feather

Last Thursday, I spotted Katrina’s tent in town. Inside, Katrina talked about Tom Nook rehearsing his smile, and then she gave me a fortune that sounded fairly neutral.

Katrina: Perhaps it means nothing. But it may mean everything.

But just a few moments later, I fell flat on my face! I think this was the first time I’ve taken a spill like this in Wild World. Clearly, it was due to the curse fortune from Katrina.

Jeff falls on his face in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

I didn’t want to be the only one that was falling down, so I grabbed a few pitfall seeds and planted some fun for my villagers. 😉 I managed to get Hopper, Rhonda, and Curly…although Curly took a little extra effort. He seemed to walk right over one pitfall without falling in! But I got him good a few moments later. You can see all of this pitfall fun in the video at the end of this entry.

Between pitfalls, Hopper told Rhonda a story about how his dad used to put on a hockey mask and jump out of his closet when Hopper was young. 😛

Hopper: My dad would leap out of the closet wearing a hockey mask when I went to bed.

Rhonda said that explains why Hopper is so messed up. 😀

I didn’t check my mail on Thursday, and then I didn’t play at all on Saturday. So I had quite a few letters waiting for me today. I was particularly surprised to find a goodbye letter from Rhonda!

My dear friend Jeff, I'm leaving. You've been the nicest person in Forest! Thank you so much for everything! Miss you! -Rhonda

My villagers don’t normally move out without notice, but then again I don’t normally go more then 3-4 days without playing. This time, I went five days (since I played on Thursday instead of Saturday last week). So maybe that’s why. Well, at least it wasn’t Kiki or Rosie that moved away.

I also got a letter from Lyle; he sent me 100 bells because I fell last week. How does he know these things???

And of course, I also received the latest letter from Boondox. Apparently my 100,000 bell donation went to medicine for a sick turtle?

Dear Jeff, Thanks to your donation, I was able to buy medicine! Now my pet turtle is all better! -From Boondox

There was a blue feather attached to the letter, which means that Boondox just proposed to me. Oh wait, this is Animal Crossing, not Harvest Moon. 😉 I put the blue feather on. As for the green feather, I attached it to my first Boondox letter and stored it in the post office.

I also found a note in a bottle on the beach, and it seemed to have someone’s tax form inside.

Miscalculation. Salary: 28,200 bells. Overtime: 32,600 bells. Income tax: 15,700 bells. Total: 45,100 bells. Keep up the hard work!

Big Top was sick with a cold (did he catch it from the Boondox turtle?), so I gave him some medicine. He then sneezed away the chills.

Big Top: Whoa, I think I sneezed away the chills there.

Crazy Redd was in town, but I didn’t need the worthy painting he had for sale.

When I ran into Rosie, she was trying to unload her “old, lame junk.” She asked if I wanted to help her recycle, and I said yes.

Rosie: So, right now I'm trying to get rid of all my old, lame junk.

So she gave me a cloudy shirt, and I decided to wear it. It’ll match my blue feather.

And now, here is my latest Wild World video, Ep. 14. It includes highlights of the past two months or so, including the pitfall fun I mentioned above. I hope you enjoy it!

Mud Baths For All!

On Saturday, I received another letter from Boondox. This one said that my donation helped them complete their town’s irrigation system. Again, no gift was enclosed this time.

Thank you, Jeff! Your donation helped us complete the town's irrigation system. Now our crops will grow stronger! -From Boondox

When I spoke with Big Top, he told me I was brilliant and alluring. That sounded great, until he compared me to a handkerchief?! What???

Big Top: You're so brilliant... And alluring, too, like a handkerchief!
Just don’t blow your nose on me.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider played some salsa music for me. After the show, I took the recording home and put it in my stereo.

I played again today, and I got a letter from the postal division at town hall. I earned 250 bells in interest on my bank account.

Dear Jeff, Thank you for using your post office bank account. You earned 250 bells for 30 days of interest! -Postal division, town hall

Crazy Redd was in town, selling a nice painting. I didn’t need it.

At town hall, I made a 100,000 bell donation to the town of Boondox. Pelly told me they will use the money to build a well. That means one thing: Mud baths for all!

Pelly: Mud baths for all!
Are the residents pigs, by chance?

I then listened in on a conversation between Big Top and Kiki, and Big Top was describing a dream he had. He was a big movie star, so he was at all these parties with a bunch of famous actresses.

He mentioned that Kiki was in the dream too, so Kiki asked if she was a famous actress. But Big Top said she was just in the kitchen, cooking mango cream. Kiki’s reaction surprised me; she called Big Top a stupid, sexist jerk!

Kiki, to Big Top: You're a stupid, sexist jerk! And I thought we were friends!

When I visited Bud, I noticed something about his house. He had no furniture, only fish! Big Top must have given him some interior design tips. 😛

Bud's house with no furniture, just fish.

Back outside, I caught my first popeyed goldfish! I immediately donated it to the museum.

I caught a popeyed goldfish! I think he's in shock!

I continued fishing for a little while, but I didn’t catch anything else new or good. Well, I did fulfill Hopper’s request by giving him a crucian carp; he rewarded me with a bamboo wall.

Just a heads-up that I’ll be having a new Wild World video (Ep. 14) coming later this week. It will be posted to my Youtube channel, although I’ll also include it in the next blog entry as well. Have a good day or night, and I’ll see you next time!
