Second Chance Gift

Thursday was Peanut’s birthday, but I didn’t remember that little fact until I walked into her house and she thanked me for coming. 😮

Peanut: Sparkles! I knew you'd show up, nutty! Don't be shy. C'mon in!

I kind of panicked, especially after I looked in my pockets and found nothing but tools. With nothing to give her as a gift, I tried something I don’t think I’ve ever done before: I left.

I ran to the shop, where a cement mixer was today’s spotlight product. That will have to do. I bought it, and returned to Peanut’s house, not knowing what to expect. But somewhat surprisingly, everything was fine! She asked if I had a present for her, and I handed over the cement mixer. She was actually quite happy about it.

Peanut: Like, no way! NO WAY! A cement mixer?! Whoa, nutty!

I guess as long as you don’t say no when she does ask for a present, it’s okay to leave and come back with a gift later. But anyway, Caroline was also at the party. I hope it wasn’t a squirrels-only party.

When I checked the bulletin board, I thought this birthday message for Peanut was rather funny…considering my gift.

-Happy Birthday- Happy B-day, Peanut! We hope that you'll stick around for a long, long time to come!

Goose has been sick with a cold this week, so I gave him some medicine Wednesday and Thursday. By yesterday, he was already over his cold! He gave me an ornate rug to thank me for the medicine.

Tonight, Eloise and Wolfgang were having a shouting contest near town hall. Even though their shouts weren’t audible to my human ears, Eloise must’ve had the loudest shouts of all. Wolfgang admitted defeat.

Wolfgang: Wow! That's quite a pair of lungs! I think the king of noise has been dethroned...

Caroline is the latest villager to get sick, so I gave her some medicine tonight.

Caroline: I just wanna yell from the rooftops, Jeff SAVED ME!

At the Roost, I accidentally chose the wrong option, asking to request a specific song from K.K. Slider. Oops!

K.K.: Enter a request.

I thought about it for a second, and then I asked him to perform K.K. Faire. I always enjoy that one.
