Breaking Dishes

It was snowing on Wednesday, and Drift said he was feeling cold…but he didn’t know why. 😆

Drift: I don't know why, but I'm feeling kinda cold today, mew.
Maybe because it’s winter? And it’s snowing. And you’re outdoors. And you’re a frog. I don’t know, pick one.

He said he felt like a twig-face just jumped over him and threw down a 360 jam?

Drift: I feel like I let some twig-face hop over me and throw down a 360 jam!

I’m guessing he’s talking about basketball? 😛

Eloise and Caroline had an argument, and I made the mistake of talking to Caroline afterwards. She was telling me about her mom’s angry streak…

Caroline: When my mom gets upset, she breaks dishes, one by one, until she feels better.

And then Caroline said she just broke ten plates herself! She warned me to back off, even though I had nothing to do with her argument!

Caroline: Me? I think I probably broken about 10 plates in my house already! So back off!
She’s so angry, she turned red.

Saharah was in town, and she needed help making her deliveries. So I delivered a rug for Phyllis (to Pelly) and a carpet to Blathers. Saharah thanked me with a concrete floor.

Saharah: Do you want an ancient wall or a concrete floor?

Today, Dotty reminded me that Yay Day is coming up soon. But she suggested it might be hard to come up with something nice to say about me that’s believable. Wow, thanks Dotty. 😛

Dotty: I'm gonna have to come up with something nice to say about you that's believable.

And then, she had the nerve to tell me to shower her with compliments. 😛

I was overdue to change my shirt, so I purchased a four-ball tee at Able Sisters. So I’m no longer wearing that awful groovy shirt from Gracie. 😆

Joyless Octopus

On Wednesday, I found a poem written to the bulletin board. It was about jelly rolls, because why not? 😆

-Poetry- I prefer my jelly rolls moist and rich and cakey. But yesterday, I ate a roll that was all dry!

Over by town hall, Mitzi told me she wondered if her friend Eloise was still hard at work. Of course, Eloise was clearly within sight, and Mitzi could’ve just yelled out and asked her. 😛

Mitzi: I wonder if my friend Eloise is still hard at work, mew.

On Thursday, Gulliver’s UFO flew overhead, and I promptly shot it out of the sky with my surprisingly powerful slingshot.

Shooting Gulliver's UFO out of the sky.

It was my first UFO of 2024, and my 32nd overall. After I gathered up the missing parts of Gulliver’s ship, he rewarded me with a Metroid (for the 4th time).

Yesterday, Peanut asked me for some orange furniture. I bought a classic sofa for her at Nookington’s, because it looked orange to me. However, Peanut didn’t agree, and she refused to accept the gift.

This evening, Octavian told me it was his favorite time to be at the beach…because it’s so bleak and devoid of joy. 😛

Octavian: It's so bleak and devoid of all joy.

He said it reminds him of himself. 😛

Octavian: It kinda reminds me of myself on my better days...

After making my rounds, I headed to the Roost and waited for 8:00 to arrive. Once it did, I asked K.K. Slider for a random song, and he played one of my favorites: K.K. Faire.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Faire!

If you haven’t yet seen my latest Wild World video, here it is:

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend! 🙂

Spaced Out Sable

On Wednesday, Peanut told me she was finally over her cold. She was very grateful, but even she couldn’t believe how many times I gave her medicine. 😆

Peanut: Hon, I can't BELIEVE you came to see me so many times!
Narrator: It was five times.

To thank me, she gave me some steel flooring.

Yesterday, Bones informed me that Sable was acting like a space cadet. He wondered why she was more spaced out than he was. 😛

Bones: Sable was acting like a total space cadet today.

That made me wonder if I’ve been missing out on Sable’s backstory dialogue all this time. I know Tom Nook, Blathers, and the pelican sisters have a lot of that dialogue, but admittedly, I don’t visit Able Sisters much any more. I did befriend her in the early months of my town, but I don’t check in regularly throughout the year.

So I headed over there to see what was going on. But Sable didn’t have much to say, other than to confirm what Bones said.

Sable: Ohh, I'm sorry. I really am. I was spacing out a little bit, there.

Mabel said that Sable gets like this each winter. I guess I’ll need to keep checking in on them in the coming weeks.

Mabel: She always gets this way at this time of year... this part of winter.

Today, Caroline was telling me that La-Di-Day is coming up on Saturday (tomorrow). She was confident that she wasn’t going to lose to Bones, because he’s a tone-deaf dweeb! 😮

Caroline: All I know is, I'm not about to lose to Bones. That dweeb is tone deaf!

Don’t call Bones a dweeb, you big-eyed freak! 😛 I don’t plan on playing tomorrow, but I wouldn’t have chosen Caroline’s tune anyway since she insulted Bones like that. 😛

Octavian was feeling good, because he finally got a good house score from the HRA.

Octavian: The oppressive Happy Room Academy is finally giving me some love, yip yip!

He got 9,732 points, which may not sound all that high, but it is good for a villager house. That score will probably go down in time, as he displays the random junk I’ll eventually give him (and clears out some of his space stuff). 😛

I’ll be posting my latest Wild World episode (video) this weekend, so keep an eye out for that! See you soon! 🙂
