Octavian’s Chimichangas

On Wednesday, I received my latest evaluation letter from the Happy Room Academy. While my score hasn’t changed since last time, the wording of the letter was different.

Jeff, your room gets 280,900 points! Your mementos collection has really altered the room's feel. -Happy Room Academy

It mentioned my mementos collection, apparently referring to my room of villager pictures. I don’t think I’ve seen this letter before.

Yesterday, Katrina was in town. I paid her to tell my fortune, and she started talking about a camel (Saharah) who had a hole in her canteen.

Katrina: A camel arrives at an oasis to fill a canteen with sweet water...

But Katrina’s fortune was just another neutral one, so it didn’t seem to affect me either way.

Bones asked me for some new clothes, so I gave him a vegetarian shirt that I got from the lost and found. He liked the shirt, and he rewarded me with a li’l bro’s hat. I put it on immediately.

Bones: Uh, OK. I've got your li'l bro's hat right here, yip yip!

Octavian has been sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine Wednesday, yesterday, and again today. Hopefully it will let him keep his chimichangas down. 😆

Octavian: Orggggggghh. I feel nasty. I think I'm gonna toss my chimichangas!

Dotty asked me my blood type tonight, and I don’t know what it is. But I know that if you say “no clue,” they tell you that you should’ve just made something up. So I did, and I said it was type A. So…she called me so uptight that I can’t even handle one weed.

Dotty: So, that means... You're so uptight that you can't even handle one weed?
Excuse me?

When I spoke with Eloise, she said that the rain is just about the prettiest thing…other than her. 😛

Eloise: Isn't rain, like, the prettiest thing ever? I mean, besides me?

I ran into Dotty again, and she was telling me that someone had a full dino skeleton in their house.

Dotty: I can't remember who, but someone had this whole dino skeleton in their house!

She said that my house is so big that I could do that too, if I wanted. But I don’t.

Have a great holiday weekend, everyone! 🐰

Ditches and a Crack

On Wednesday, I listened in on an interesting conversation between Octavian and Peanut. Octavian was trying to find a part-time job for Peanut, and he suggested digging ditches. 😆

Octavian: You love digging ditches, don't you? Well, of course ya do!

Of course, Peanut didn’t want to dig ditches. Instead, she wanted to sell waterfront real estate. 😛

Peanut: Don't you even know that the new 'it' job is selling waterfront real estate?

Octavian got mad that she didn’t like his suggestion, and he called Peanut a brat, and then a (spoiled) princess. They both walked away sad after that encounter.

Octavian: Hmph! You really are a brat, aren't you, Peanut?

I finally got to see the inside of Tank’s house now that’s he has unpacked. (He’s been outdoors just about every time I’ve played.) And his house is a bit…sparse. All of his furniture is along the north and east walls, leaving a huge open area. Well, maybe a tank like him needs a lot of room to operate. 😛

The inside of Tank's house in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Speaking of empty space, I found Peanut’s house completely empty yesterday!

Peanut's completely empty house in ACWW.

The reason? She was trying to move out of town! If a villager doesn’t have any regular furniture, just fish and/or bugs (which they can’t pack up), their homes will be completely empty when moving. Of course, I talked Peanut out of moving, so her catches should magically return. 😛 Some of you may remember that this also happened with Big Top a few years back.

Tonight, I spoke with Dotty and she was really excited about something that she found…

Dotty: Hon! I finally found one, hulaaaa!

It was a crack in the ground. Yeah, she found some crack, alright.

Dotty: What, you ask?! It's a crack on the ground! Can you believe it? A CRACK!!!

She didn’t even say where she found it.

At the Roost, I asked K.K. for a random song, and he played K.K. Ska for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Ska!

Tank Paper Scissors

On Wednesday, I made a couple of deliveries for Saharah. I took some carpet over to Tom Nook, and then some wallpaper over to Mabel. Saharah rewarded me with a boxing ring mat.

Saharah: Do you want an ancient wall or a boxing ring mat? >Carpet.

Drift was still sick on Wednesday, so I gave him some more medicine. By yesterday, he was feeling much better. He gave me some ceramic tile to thank me for the drugs.

Yesterday, Tank wanted to play a quick game of rock, paper, scissors. But we both chose “rock.”

Tank: I'm a total ROCK!
Yeah, you’re built like a tank.

He initially thought he had lost the game, but then he realized it was a draw.

Tonight, I played in the evening when the sky was purple. But I noticed that from a certain distance, the waterfall also looked purple. Pretty cool. 😎

The cliffs and waterfall appear purple in the twilight.

I listened in on a conversation between Bones and Tank, and they were debating who would win if they raced each other. Bones thought Tank would be careless, and would therefore lose the race.

Bones: Tank is fast, but overconfident and careless.

Tank laughed at that suggestion, comparing it to a fairy tale. 😛

Tank: Dude, that is the worst story ever! A fairy tale is more believable than that!

Tank was glad that he’s a jock, because he said all “thinkers” are nut jobs. 😮

Tank: 'Cause all you thinkers are total nut jobs!

I’m not sure I would consider lazy villagers to be thinkers, but I wouldn’t consider them nut jobs either. Just don’t insult Bones, man. 😛

Later on, I attended K.K. Slider’s Saturday night concert. I asked for a random song, and he performed Mr. K.K. for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Mr. K.K.!

How does my Wild World savings balance stack up against my savings accounts in other Animal Crossing games? (Spoiler alert: Not well.) But check out this animated line chart to see how it’s going (and which game it is gaining ground on):

See you next week! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂
