In Six Words

Yesterday, Marina told me she heard the most surprising story from Mabel and Sable!

Marina: I heard the most surprising story from Mabel and Sable today, blurp.

But she wouldn’t tell me the news, because she promised to keep it secret! So why even tell me about it?

Marina: I really want to tell you, but I promised to keep it secret! Sorry, blurp!

I was still curious, so I went to Able Sisters to see for myself. Mabel sneezed, and she was afraid she was catching a cold. Wait, that’s it? That’s the surprising story?? That rumor is snot what it seemed.

Mabel: Ohh no, PLEASE say I'm not catching a cold...

I guess it is something to sneeze at. These rumors just turned out to be a cold case. 😛

I played again tonight, and Derwin was talking about how cool his outfit makes him look. But then he said something curious: He claimed the best accessory to go with his outfit would be a grim-looking buddy by his side.

Derwin: The best accessory for an outfit like this is a grim-looking buddy by my side,

So he said he would hang out with me all day! To make himself look better by comparison! Wow. Every time I think maybe I’m starting to like the guy, he goes and says something rude like this.

Derwin: ...waiting on me hand and foot... So I'll just hang out with you all day!

I’m going to try something different. I’m going to sum up what each of my other villagers talked about tonight, in six words each:

  • Chief: Tim from Treehut designed my shirt.
  • Pippy: I shrunk my shirts! Need another!
  • Frobert: You’re far from home. Sleeping outside?
  • Maple: I worked hard designing my room.
  • Marina: Walking is exercise for your mind!
  • Angus: I have cockroaches. They’re so nasty!
  • Whitney: I’m moving out. No I’m not.

After making my rounds (and barely making it to the shop before it closed), I went down to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Safari” for me. That’s the same song he sang for me two weeks ago!

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Safari!

Goodnight, everyone. See you next week!
