Flower Fest 2025

The annual Flower Fest is underway this week, and Curt mentioned that we’re about halfway through. It runs from Monday through Sunday, so that checks out, with today being Thursday.

Curt: We're about halfway into the Flower Fest, on my Wii.

Of course, many of my villagers had flowers set up outside of their homes…even if a lot of them were wilted. Here is Drift’s house.

Tank was disappointed that shamrocks don’t count as flowers. Although, I think he means clovers in general, not just shamrocks. ☘️

Tank: What?! Shamrocks don't count?!

Tortimer was standing outside of town hall to talk about the event, and he also gave me a white tulip bag.

Tortimer: Today, Forest will explode in greenery! Why? 'Cause it's the Flower Fest!

Filbert’s house nearby had a lot of flowers; here’s a look at it:

I decided to help him out by planting my white tulip near his house. I’m not trying to win the event myself. It’s not worth the effort for me. πŸ˜› I won the event once, in 2019, and I don’t feel the need to do it again.

Filbert’s mind wasn’t on flowers, though. He wanted to play a word game, where we name types of food that starts with the last letter of the previous food. I started with “plum,” then he said “mango,” I replied with “orange,” and so on. But after a few rounds back and forth, he got tired and basically forfeited.

Filbert: Man, I sure am sleepy right now. I can't think. I'm sorry, I gotta lay down.

When I visited Robin, she told me that she wished she could walk around and not have to talk to the people she sees. I’m right with you on that one! πŸ˜†

Robin: I wish I could walk around an not have to talk to the people I see, snappy.
Is she my spirit animal? πŸ˜†

When I walked by Whitney’s house, I saw that she had a lot of flowers too.

I have no idea who’s going to win this event, and I won’t know until next week. But there are a lot of good contenders this year…I’m just not one of them. Good luck to you if you’re participating this year! 🌷🌹🌼

Squirrel on Fire

Yesterday, I received my monthly bank statement in the mail. I earned 75,450 bells for the month.

Pascal was in town, and he told me that a sea bass is not an instrument.

Pascal: A sea bass is not an instrument, maaannn.
I think that depends on how you use it.

Robin told me that back in the day, spiders used to be as big as us! And you think you hate walking into a web now, imagine back then! πŸ•ΈοΈ

Robin: Back in the day, an average spider was the same size as us!

Truffles has still been sick with a cold, so I gave her some more medicine yesterday and again today.

Tank told me that he was fishing in the river, and he caught a squid today! I find that hard to believe, since squid can only be caught in the ocean.

Tank: I was fishing in the river and caught myself a squid!
Is Tank pulling a prank? Or did I just get hornswoggled?

A couple minutes later, I ran into Tank again as he was chatting with Caroline. Caroline told him that it was good to see him smiling.

Caroline: Tank, it's so nice to see you smiling. you always look so happy, on my Wii.

However, Tank denied being happy. He said he was just flexing his face muscles!

Tank: I'm not happy! I'm flexing my face! I don't want my lips to start sagging!

After that, Caroline asked me for a new catchphrase to replace “on my Wii.” Her old phrase is a bit played out, after all. Since her coloring and hair look a bit like fire, I told her to say “on fire.” She liked the sound of it. πŸ”₯

Caroline: Yes! On fire! I like the sound of that! It's me, on fire! It's fresh!

When I spoke with her again, she asked me to deliver a letter to Curt. I agreed to help out, and Curt told me that the letter warmed his cold, crabby heart. πŸ˜†

Curt: Hm... That really warms my cold, crabby heart.

Caroline rewarded me with a green wall.

I recently posted a new Wild World video episode, featuring highlights from mid-February through late March. Here it is, if you haven’t seen it yet:

Just one last note: The flower fest is next week! Get ready to steal your neighbors’ flowers, if you play that way! πŸ˜†

Snuggle Bunnies

On Wednesday, I ran a long way (from all the way down on the beach, up to the north wall) to shoot down a balloon present. I found a wave breaker inside. It would’ve been more useful on the beach. πŸ˜‰ 🌊

Robin wanted to sell me a royal shirt, and she asked how much I would spend. I put the slider close to the minimum (1 bell), and she called me a wuss. And then she still made me pay 480 bells for the shirt.

Robin: Wow, you're still such a big wuss, huh.
Excuse me for not wanting to spend all my money on a shirt I don’t want.

Yesterday, Caroline told me she’ll sometimes pretend to cry, just to make her friend upset. I had the option to say “That’s funny!” or “That’s terrible,” and I chose the former (just to see how she’d react). She was really happy about my response, and she said we should be best friends now. πŸ˜†

Caroline: From now on, let's you and me be best friends! This'll be so fun, on my Wii!

I ran into her again a few minutes later, and she showed me a random letter she received. It was signed from “a certain furry someone.” πŸ˜†

To Caroline, I'm not fat! I'm just fluffy! -A certain furry someone

Today, I listened in on a conversation between Robin and Whitney behind town hall. Whitney said she makes a cute face when she eats, and Robin said that she likes to stuff her face with marshmallows.

Robin: I like to stuff my face with as many marshmallows as I can.

She then tries to say “Snuggle Bunnies” with her mouth full. This is pretty much exactly the “chubby bunny” challenge.

Robin: Then, I try to say snuggle bunnies! You should try it! It's the funnest thing ever!

Whitney said that she loves to play Snuggle Bunnies too, and she suggested that they should get together and play it sometime.

Whitney: We should totally get together sometime and play Snuggle Bunnies.

Whitney concluded that their personalities are so similar that them hanging out together is like looking in a mirror.

Truffles was sick with a cold (or was it the swine flu?), so I gave her some medicine. Get well soon, Truffles.
