Sword Sales

On Tuesday, Mom sent me a letter about the start of spring (and softball season in particular). She said that she accidentally hit Agnes with a pitch! Ouch! That poor pig!

Dear Jeff, It's the start of softball season! I accidentally hit Agnes with the ball when I was pitching. Oops. She was really mad! -Mom

Hugh again asked me for some orange furniture, so I bought this orange chair at Nookington’s. You can’t get any oranger than this! 😛 🍊

Timmy: Ah, yes, yes. That's the orange chair. Very nice. ...very nice.

I took it over to Hugh, and he accepted the gift. He thanked me by giving me a common floor.

Crazy Redd was in town, but he didn’t have the rocket I’m looking for. But he did have a black pawn, which I bought just to have it in my catalog.

Yesterday, there was a spotlight product at Nookington’s: It was a Master Sword, which I didn’t need. How are these last two paintings I need more rare than a Master Sword?! 😛

Cyrano surprised me by asking if I knew about Bob and Deena’s relationship!

Cyrano: Did you hear? About Bob and Deena's relationship?

But I think he was just trying to pull my leg. 😛

Late last night, I wished on a shooting star. Today, Wishy sent me an ivory piano in the mail.

Snake told me that he has blisters all over his feet tonight. He wondered if it’s from never wearing shoes. 😛

Snake: ...Oh, wait! You think maybe it's 'cuz we don't wear shoes, bunyip?

Hugh was packed up and ready to move out, but I got him to change his mind. He hasn’t suffered here long enough yet. 😀

Nookington’s had another spotlight product today, and it was a ninja sword. So the spotlight product has been a sword on two consecutive days! 😛

Timmy: You have a keen eye! That's our spotlight product...the ninja sword!

Olivia was sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine. Get well soon! I don’t want to have her infecting the other animals in town. 😛

Cocoa Face

Pascal was in town Monday, and he told me that the currents of life are unpredictable. He then gave me some sea view wallpaper before diving into the ocean.

Pascal: The currents of life are unpredictable, maaannn. Just watch out for riptide.

Hugh asked me for some orange furniture, so I gave him an oil drum. To me, it looks about as orange as orange can be. But Hugh refused to accept the gift, because it wasn’t orange enough for him. 😠

Hugh: I want something that gets my heart racing. Like orange furniture!
Then you get nothing.

Last night, I wished on a shooting star. Wishy responded to my wish with a letter in the mail that I received today. He sent me a plum bonsai. He might as well have given me prune juice. If it’s not a painting (or a throne), I really don’t care.

Deena is still sick, so I’ve continued giving her medicine this week.

Deena: It hurts to move. I don't even know why I'm still up. I should be in bed...

Snake was all packed up to move out of town today, but I convinced him to stay. Even though he already gave me his picture last week, it still seems too early to let him go. But I thought it was interesting that he had six of his boxes lined up in a row. 😂 That’s a bit unusual.

Six of Snake's moving boxes were lined up.
They were lined up vertically, so I guess it’s a column, not a row. 😛

When I ran into Bob, he told me that my face reminds him of cocoa. I don’t even know what that means. 😛 Bob might be a little crazy, but that’s okay. 😂

Bob: ...You know, your face kinda reminds me of that sweet, frothy cocoa...
He’s cuckoo for cocoa.

See you all next time!

Bunnie Bounced

Yesterday, I checked my mail and found a letter from Bunnie. At first, I thought maybe it was a valentine. However, it was definitely not a love letter…it was a goodbye letter. Bunnie bounced out of town, without warning. 🙁

Um, like, hi, Jeff, Thanks for being so nice to me in Forest! I'll cherish our memories forever! TOTALLY FOREVER! -Sincerely, Bunnie

When I spoke with Roscoe, he told me that Tom Nook always looks so spaced out. 😂 I love when villagers say insulting things about special characters. 😛

Roscoe: Nook always looks so spaced out, even when he's at the shop, in a barn!

I played again today, and there was already a new house in town! Inside, I found Hugh the blue pig.

Hugh: Huh huh huh! That's why everyone calls me Hugh the Romantic.

Hugh is a villager that I haven’t seen much in the series. I’ve had him in my GameCube game for a brief stay in 2018, and I think that’s about it. Well, now I’ll get a chance to know him a little better.

Deena has been sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine yesterday and today. Get well soon, ducky!

Nookington’s had a spotlight product today: a throne. Even though Timmy told me it was a bargain at just 640,000 bells, I didn’t buy it. I just hate spending that kind of money, especially in the older games. That’s like a few months’ earnings for one item.

Timmy: It's a bargain at 640,000 bells!

As I started to write this blog entry, I let my character stand outside. It was a clear night, so I was hoping to catch a shooting star as I typed. 😛 But after a little while, I heard a different sound effect: A ping. Snake pinged me to give me his photo! 😮

Snake: Here! It's my photo! Awesome, huh, bunyip?

I was surprised, because it seems like I haven’t even talked to him very much. I’ve kinda been ignoring most of his requests, too. 😛 But I’ll still accept the pic. I took it home to take a look at it. His favorite quote is “Snake’s number one!”

Quote on Snake's pic: Snake's number one!

I wasn’t sure what to do with it though, so I ended up putting it on the floor in my mush furniture room. It’ll probably end up in storage eventually, because I don’t have much room in my house.

That’s all I have for tonight, but I’ll see you all next time.
