Last week, I wished on a shooting star, and Wishy sent me a baby panda in the mail. Since Wishy can apparently send spotlight products, I may put more time and effort into looking for shooting stars on clear nights. It’s taking forever for Nook to stock the paintings I need, so I’ll try anything at this point!

On Wednesday, I shot down Gulliver’s UFO for the 13th time. I gathered up his missing UFO parts, and he rewarded me with an Arc de Triomphe.

That was a duplicate item for me, and I still have the first one I got from him. So I sold this one to Tom Nook for 2,300 bells.

Today (January 17th), I found a new house in the spot where Kiki once lived. That meant that Goldie’s replacement has moved in! I went inside and found Deena the duck.

She may not be the cutest animal around, but she does seem nice! Welcome to Forest, ducky! 🙂

Snake was sick with a cold today, and he did not look well.

I gave him some medicine, but I’m sure it will take many more doses before he starts to feel better.

Cyrano asked me to buy a nebula shirt for 530 bells, and I took him up on the offer. But after I handed over the bells, he called me a sucker for buying the shirt at that price.

I was very disappointed to find a goodbye letter from Goldie in the mail tonight. 🙁

Goldie was my favorite villager in town (as you may have seen in a recent video), and she’s been in Forest for over two years. I hate to see her go. Bob now takes over the top spot as my favorite current villager.

When I spoke with Cyrano, he told me that this place reminds him of a bucket he once had.

When I asked him to elaborate, he said he forgot what he was going to say. I’m really not sure what this is all about. I remember Big Top once had some bucket-related dialogue, but this was different. Not to mention, Big Top and Cyrano have different personalities. Maybe I’ll hear more about this bucket another time. Then again, maybe I don’t want to hear more. 😛

Peanut asked me to deliver a letter to Cyrano, so I headed back to the blue anteater. He said the letter wasn’t a completely unpleasant surprise in his nose.

When I returned to Peanut, she thanked me, and she rewarded me with a citrus carpet.

Two minutes later, Olivia told me a story about an ex-boyfriend of hers: He said that she was more aggressive than he was. Olivia thanked me for being supportive (by just listening to her story), and she too gave me a citrus carpet!

It’s weird enough to get the same item from two villagers in the same day, but especially when they’re just two minutes apart! It’s also somewhat interesting that carpets appear as carpets when given indoors, and as a treasure chests when given outdoors.

Update: Getting two citrus carpets two minutes apart is not the biggest coincidence that occurred today. Check this out:

Last Thursday, Cyrano asked me if I’d rather eat sorbet or tuna salad. But he didn’t give me a chance to answer; instead, he told me that he hated them both and they’re both gross. 😛

As you can see in that screenshot, Saharah was in town. I made deliveries to Tom Nook and Phyllis for her, and she offered me one of two similar rewards.

Even though I was briefly considering the wallpaper, I changed my tune and picked the carpet instead.

On Tuesday, Snake was already packed up to move out of town! He hadn’t even been here a full week yet! That was wayyyy too soon for him to move out, so I got him to change his mind.

Yesterday, I found two of the day’s fossils buried right next to each other. Directly adjacent to each other. That doesn’t happen very often!

Tonight, Peanut asked me about her wallet. She was under the impression that I borrowed it for some reason? I don’t have your wallet, Peanut!

When I spoke with Olivia, she tried to tell me that K.K. Slider wrote a song just for her! Yeah, I don’t believe that story. 😛

After putting some money in the bank at town hall, my account balance reached three million bells.
