Flea Market 2026

On Thursday, I received my monthly bank statement from the Bank of Nintendo. I earned 96,500 bells in interest for the month.

Now that it’s early April, you can find lots of pink trees around for cherry-blossom season. They’re pretty, but perhaps not as pretty as they are in the newer games.

Pink trees in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Derwin was home, so I got to see the inside of his house now that he’s all unpacked. He informed me that his house scored just 1,437 points with the Happy Room Academy.

Today, I received a letter from Mom. She wants me to walk with her by the cherry blossoms while they’re in bloom. Aww, let’s go!

Dear Jeff, You must promise to walk with me again by the cherry blossoms in bloom. It would be lovely. -Mom

It’s Flea Market Day today, so the indoor villagers are trying to unload their unwanted furniture.

Derwin: Welcome to Derwin's Mega Mart, where the deals grab you by the lapels...
Derwin: And punch you square in the teeth!

I didn’t buy anything from Derwin, but I did end up buying an owl clock from Chief later, for 570 bells.

Down on the beach, I stumbled onto a note in a bottle. Inside, I found someone’s pay stub!

Miscalculation. Salary: 28,200 bells. Overtime: 32,600 bells. Income tax: 15,700 bells. Total: 45,100 bells. Keep up the hard work!

The Flower Fest is coming up next week, starting on Monday. Robin told me that last year, she entered it right after she and her boyfriend split up.

Robin: Last year, I decided to enter right after my boyfriend and I split up...

She said they looked especially pretty last year, but they probably won’t look as good this year. I’m not sure I understand her logic here, though. They looked prettier because she was fresh off a break-up? 🤷

Robin: The flowers looked super pretty then. Bet they won't look that pretty this year.

After I was done making my rounds, I finished up my night with a show at the Roost. I let K.K. Slider choose the song, and he performed “K.K. Waltz” for me. 🎶

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Waltz!

Derwin Duck

Yesterday, I found a new house in the southwest corner of town, where Drift lived last year. My newest neighbor is Derwin the duck (not to be confused with Darkwing Duck). I don’t particularly like him.

Derwin: The sun at dusk is so fiery and neat looking... It's amazing, derrrr.

I found Pascal down by the beach, standing out in the rain. I guess he doesn’t mind getting wet since he hangs out in the water a lot anyway. He shared his thoughts about an anemone, and how the word is tricky to say (and spell). I have to agree with him on this one. 😛

Pascal: Oh, maaannn, anemone is a hard word to say. It's even harder to spell.
It’s like a one-word tongue twister.

When I visited Marina, she asked me if her outfit was hot or not. I told her it was hot, and she thought I was just flattering her because I wanted something from her. Oof.

Marina: You think so? You're just flattering me! You must want something from me!

But she took it a step further and said she’s not even sure if she can wear the outfit any more, because I made her feel self-conscious about it! Wow.

Marina: Oh! Now I'm all self-conscious! I don't know if I can wear this again!

Today, I found a note in a bottle on the beach. It was from a hungry day trader who thought they were going to get rich in the stalk market…until they ate their turnips! Oops!

A Confession: I'm gonna make a killing on turnips! Or so I thought, until I ate them. Heh heh heh... -A Hungry Day Trader
Who’s this from? Wall Street Wendell?

Truffles asked me to deliver a letter to Derwin, but then we realized my letter section was full. So I cleared out some letters and spoke with her again. She still wanted a letter delivered, but this time it was to Frobert!

Truffles: This letter... Could you take it to Frobert at the speed of light?

I hopped over to Frobert’s pad and gave him the letter. He thought it was hilarious, but I didn’t quite see the humor in it.

Dear Frobert, That letter was so sweet! You're the best! Rap reminds me of the good old days! -Truffles

When I returned to Truffles, she rewarded me with a cabin wall.

Over at town hall, I found a writing desk in the recycle bin. It was perfectly fine, so I wonder why someone wrote it off. ✍️

Not My Day

Yesterday, I was shocked (and horrified) to find a goodbye letter from Filbert in the mail. He left without warning. 🙁

Oh, by the way, Jeff, Oh, hey! When I moved out of Forest, I took a tile from the plaza... Was Tortimer mad? I'm nervous! -Filbert

He had become my favorite villager in town, and it’s incredibly sad to see him go. 🙁

Yay Day is coming up on Sunday, and Pippy said that she would have to come up with something nice to say about me that was believable.

Pippy: I'm gonna have to come up with something nice to say about you that's believable.
I can just feel the love.

I apparently neglected to keep up with the time, because a UFO flew by and I was not prepared for it. I was all the way down by the beach, so I had a long way to run to chase after it. Despite my best efforts, I was not able to catch up to it in time.

The UFO got away.

It was definitely not my day. But I did manage to wish on a shooting star later.

Today, I received a letter from Wishy. He sent me a kiddie stereo for wishing on him.

To the wisher, Jeff, I heard a small voice call to me one lonely night. It made me happy...so I will grant your wish! -From Wishy the Star

I found a note in a bottle on the beach, and it was a love letter from Lucio to Joanna.

My beloved Joanna, I've sent you so many letters. When am I gonna get one back?! I can't sleep thinking about it... -Your Lucio

I’ve seen this one (and Joanna’s reply) before, but I still appreciate seeing these occasional notes on the beach.

Marina told me that one time, she tried playing hockey with a big mouthful of ice cream. Unfortunately, it got stuck in her throat!

Marina: ...It got stuck in my throat! It was terrible!

It sounded like a serious situation, but she survived. I’m glad she found a way to lick that problem.

Frobert asked me to deliver a letter to Whitney, so I hopped on over to Whitney’s den. Whitney said the stationery was cute, and she showed me the letter:

Hey, Whitney, I love getting stuff in the mail! Keep it up! You gotta stay strong! Eat cioppino! Bye! -Frobert

Despite liking the stationery, she didn’t seem to understand the letter. But she said she likes receiving mail all the same.

Whitney: It didn't make much sense to me, but I just like getting mail, on a pig.

When I returned to Frobert, he thanked me…but didn’t give me a reward. I then realized my pockets were full. Oof.

Have a good weekend, everyone.
