Tarantula!

Late last night, I played some New Leaf while I was lying in bed. (That’s one advantage of portable systems). Aurora suggested a flower bed as a public works project.

Aurora: Would you consider commissioning a flower bed as the next public works project? It actually just looks like a 3×3 square of dirt, so I think I’ll pass on that.

Anyway, Molly told me that she put up a scarecrow and she said that Tabby talks to it! For some reason, I’m not surprised by that.

Molly: But sometimes Tabby starts talking to the scarecrow without realizing it's not me.And just before I was about to shut down the 3DS and go to bed, I finally saw what I’ve been looking for: a tarantula! I backed up a bit so it wouldn’t charge me as I got my net out, then I walked up to it and swung. I got it! VICTORY!!

I caught a tarantula! WHAAAA! Destroy it!I immediately went up to the museum to donate the tarantula. Here it is, fighting with its adversary, the scorpion.

The tarantula fighting with a scorpion in the bug room at the museum. When I started up the game today, it was pouring rain.

Heavy rain falls on my New Leaf house. But for the first time in New Leaf, I didn’t care! For one thing, I have lots of flowers now, so a break from watering them is welcome. Also, now that I have a tarantula already, I don’t have to keep hoping for clear weather to catch one.

Over in Re-Tail, I saw Rolf’s drum set for sale. I’m pretty sure he bought it from Re-Tail used when Katt was selling it a while back. I decided to buy it, in the hopes that Rolf cleaned it off since Katt had it. After all, Katt plays the drums with the same paws she uses to walk in her litter box.

Reese: Oh, the drum set? This item belongs to Rolf from here in Forest.Since I just had my house expanded the other day, I figured it was time to put in another town project. I decided to put in a flower clock, just south of town hall–and right behind my bench. I’m trying to turn this area in the southwest corner of town into a nice park. It’s going to look really nice when it’s finished.

The spot I picked out for my flower clock PWP, behind my yellow bench and in front of town hall.It was surprisingly affordable, so I paid it off on the spot. It will be done tomorrow.

Isabelle: We've met our collection goal for the flower clock project! It should be complete tomorrow!I then saw Benedict; I spoke to him, and he again asked if he should really move out of town. This time, I asked him to stay…and it worked.

Benedict: Hm... Well, now that I know you feel that way, maybe I won't move after all, boss.My friend Wendy came over to shop, and we made a quick trip to the island. We did one scavenger hunt tour, which I used to scoop up as many flowers as I could. After we returned, I plopped the flowers down around my wind turbine near my new park.
