Tombstone Face-Cutout

Today, I had three dandelion puffs taking up space in my pockets, so I decided to blow them over by my northwest rock.

Blowing a dandelion puff in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. And in honor of the Cleveland Indians making it to the playoffs this year, I put up my Indians logo flag at town hall. (The pattern is available on my QR Codes page).

Since October starts tomorrow, I thought it would be a good time for a Halloween-themed cutout…so I made this gravestone. It is also available on my QR Codes page if you wish to scan it for your own town.

My R.I.P. tombstone face cutout standee design.I added a new path segment, connecting my house and Re-Tail. It cuts through where my black and gold roses were, but I kept them in the area by lining the path with them.

My new path connecting my home to Re-Tail.Later on, I found Gulliver down on the beach.

Gulliver: Hey, did you know I have the head of a seagull and the body of a seagull too?
Do I look like I’m gull-ible?

His clues were tricky today. He told me of a country that has a merlion as its symbol and a durian as its national fruit. I didn’t know the answer, but I guessed Singapore and it was right. So he will be sending me a gift (a merlion, I’d guess) tomorrow.

I went in Kidd’s house to say hello, and he asked me for some fruit.

Kidd: What? Really, I'm sexy? Then I'll await your tasty delivery, Jeff.I had a perfect peach in my pockets, so I gave him that. He thanked me and gave me a minimalist dresser in exchange.

Kidd: So please take this gift. It's a minimalist dresser!Over by town hall, I ran into Tabby. She asked if I still needed a bucket.

Tabby: Hey, killer, didn't I hear you saying you really wanted a bucket?
Nope, I used the bushes by your house instead.

Recovering Rolf’s Time Capsule

Tonight I got a letter from Gulliver from down under. He sent me this replica of Ayers Rock (also known as Uluru).

A replice of Ayers Rock (also known as Uluru) that Gulliver sent me in the mail from Australia. And Rolf asked me to dig up his time capsule.

Rolf: I think it's about time you dug that sucker back up already!Benedict asked if baked squash should be the official food of Forest. Absolutely not!

Benedict: Do you think baked squash should be named the official food of Forest, J-bot?Copper informed me that someone was camping over at the campsite, so I went to check it out. Tank was inside. He seems okay, but I didn’t particularly want him to move in.

Tank: The camping is pretty good here, you know? I've decided to spend some quality time here!Big Top asked me for a pear, so I found one and returned to him. “Oh, is that a fruit I see? No, it’s just a fallacy.”

Big Top: A huh huh huh! Is that fruit I see?I dug up Rolf’s time capsule and returned it to him. He opened it, and it contained a a gray tartan tee. He gave it to me…even though I was already wearing that exact shirt!

Rolf: I'll give this to you as a thank-you. So here ya go--one recently dug gift: a gray tartan tee!I was helping out animals a lot tonight. Molly asked me for a piece of furniture for her house. I went into Re-Tail and bought a kitchen sink for her. When I gave it to her, she rewarded me with her ninja sword. Molly! I had no idea you were a ninja!

Molly: Here's my ninja sword! Thank you so much for helping me!

My 2nd Villager Pic

Today, Aurora suggested a new public works project, a fairy-tale bench.

Aurora: Would you consider commissioning a fairy-tale bench as the next public works project? But when I went to go take a look at it, I found out that I never attended the ceremony for the zen bell! So I went ahead and did that.

The completion ceremony for the zen bell PWP.I returned to town hall when it was over. This is what the fairy-tale bench looks like:

Fairy-tale bench PWP: 52,800 bells. When I went into Re-Tail, Molly was talking about selling a pack of gum. That sounds good! I wish I could buy gum with bells. Don’t you?

Molly: Did you bring in something to sell? Oh! I should sell my extra pack of gum at home! While walking outside, I found a lost item on the ground. Tabby was nearby, so I asked if it was hers. And it was.

Tabby: Wow! I thought I'd lost my schmancy pouch forever! She said she keeps her favorite makeup in it. She then rewarded me with something I did not expect at all: Tabby’s pic!

Tabby: Yeah, I think you'll totally like this. It's Tabby's pic! What?! She already gave me her pic on September 17th! So now I have two of them! Seriously, Tabby? Seriously?

Tabby's pic next to...Tabby's pic! Yes, two Tabby's pics! Yikes! One of them was bad enough. But to finally get a second villager pic and it’s the same one again? Ugh! Come on, Aurora. Come on, Molly. Big Top? Rolf? Step up your game before my house turns into a Tabby museum.

Anyway, I headed down to the beach, where I saw Gulliver. After talking to him about 15 times, he finally woke up. His clues indicated he was headed to Australia, so he will send me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: The sun's rays are strong there, so I'll need to make sure I wear some cool, manly sunglasses. But he got a little too excited imagining how cool he would look in sunglasses.

Gulliver: I'd look too cool! It makes me swoon just thinking about it!After that, I made a solo trip out to the island (no disconnections when you play alone) and I played an easy bug-catching tour. I filled my pockets with flowers, and still earned a gold medal. Back on the island, it was too early in the day for good bugs, but I acted like Mr. Banana Grabber and filled my pockets with island fruit to sell when I returned home.

That’s all for now, but keep visiting JVGS for more Animal Crossing: New Leaf content in the coming days (and beyond). I have a new section coming up soon that I think you will enjoy. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! 🙂
