Today was the day of the Bug-Off competition. And the event’s host, Nat, informed me that this is the final Bug-Off of the season.
Molly, being the cute duck she is, told me that even if we’re rivals, she still cheers on her friends.
I turned in a goliath beetle (that I saved from last night) in to Nat. You need an 80-point bug to score a special piece of bug furniture. But Nat only gave me 79 points for my goliath! Bug off, bug man!
But even though I didn’t get a special piece of furniture, my 79-point bug was still enough to win the competition. So I attended the ceremony later in the evening.
After that was over, Molly suggested a new public works project (PWP): a garbage can. I already have a garbage can in my house for getting rid of trash, so I’d rather not put one outdoors in my town.
Today’s fake rock gave me a gold nugget earlier in the day. I took it, along with two others I had in storage, to Cyrus at Re-Tail. He turned them into a golden dresser for me.
Once 8:00 p.m. rolled around, I went up to Club LOL to watch a performance from K.K. I asked for a random song and he performed Space K.K. for me. Even though the title makes it sound like something I’d like, it’s not very good.
And today was the last day I could sell my turnips, so I headed back to Re-Tail to check out today’s price. They were buying them for 114 bells apiece, so I sold them all for 57,000 bells.
I originally bought them for 91 bells each, for a total of 45,500 bells. So I made a small profit of 11,500 bells.
After she escaped, we fought it out in an epic head-butt battle.
Eventually, we both became braindead. So I ended the party. But Kidd was sick, so I took him some medicine.
Then today, I checked my turnip prices: 53 bells. Not good. I hope they rebound tomorrow or I’ll be out a lot of money.
And I attended the ceremony for the opening of my cube sculpture.
Then at 10:00 tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Wendy and Daisy came over to visit. Daisy had a pink glow stick! She said it’s an item you can get in December. Looks cool!
We hung out in the cafe for a while, getting hyped up on coffee.
We then did some diving, and I caught my first spiny lobster.
Shortly after 11:00, we headed out to the island. I wasn’t a big fan of today’s tours, but we did one market value bug tour. Right as time expired, Wendy typed “Yay! I caught a pikachu!” It was formatted just like the automatic notices that tell you when one of us catches a bug, so it threw me for a loop. I had to do a double take at first, then I cracked up. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to snap a picture, but it was pretty funny.
And after Daisy had disappeared for a while, she returned as Santa Clown!
I determined that my zen garden was two spaces too low for my path. I think I’m eventually going to destroy it and replace it up a few spaces, so my path doesn’t have to twist around it. But that’s not a priority for now. For now, we just decided to water it.
Shortly after midnight, I ended the party for the night. Just a reminder that the Bug-Off is tomorrow, so I’ll be back then with another update!
Then today, I saw Phineas! I asked him for a badge, and he gave me the Seafood Encyclopedia badge.

There was also a scarecrow face cutout standee there. Benedict looked at me like I was crazy when I stuck my face into it.
As for the wheat bundle, this is what it looks like:

Later this evening, Aurora suggested a new public works project: a fairy-tale clock.
And Isabelle was talking about how she wanted to snuggle with the moon!
Unfortunately, there’s not a moon-viewing party where animals gather to watch the moon. That’s limited to the
