Yesterday was the 2-year anniversary of the American release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I’d like to thank all of you who still keep up with this blog, even after two years. I hope your towns are all going well. 🙂
Daisy approached me last night and told me she wanted to move out of town on June 14th. Tough luck, dog. You’re not going anywhere; I installed an invisible fence around this town!
At the campsite, I found Lyman the green koala. I think he’s kind of weird, but he’s not as bad as some koalas in the game…don’t worry, I won’t name any names, Eugene.
Saharah was in town, and she put in this dotted wall and backyard lawn.
I went on a few island tours with Merka, but I had to stop when I had a circle pad malfunction.
My original circle pad has been gone for a while now: First the rubber part wore off, and then the plastic part underneath broke apart piece by piece. All that was left was a tiny nub maybe half the width of a pencil. I bought some circle pad covers and super-glued one of them onto the nub. But after about a month, it came off. I re-super-glued it today though, so for the moment, all is well once again.
I had a chat with Rolf near my bridge tonight, and he said he felt like the town tree is watching us! It won’t leaf us alone!
When I updated my dream town, Luna told me that Megan from Newfluff was my most recent dream visitor.
I finished up my night with some more island tours. I went on the advanced-price fishing tour three times. You need to catch 40,000 bells worth of fish to earn a gold Tortimer award and 12 medals, and it was quite an easy feat. Because most fish that appear in the tour are so valuable, on average, I only needed to catch about five fish to earn gold.
As a reminder, Friday Night Forest is this week. For people already on my 3DS roster, I’ll be opening my gate on Friday around 10 p.m. Eastern time (7 p.m. Pacific). Hope to see you then!
Once I broke free, I ran to the east and crossed the bridge. I felt like a monster and I was afraid an angry mob of villagers was going to kill me, so I snuck into a tent at the campsite. Inside, I found Velma, of the Scooby Doo gang! Is she here because someone reported a loose Frankenjeff? Was she going to ghostbust me?
Fortunately, it turns out she was just on vacation. I guess she didn’t notice how shaggy I had become. Still, I didn’t stick around long.
I don’t know exactly what Agent S did to me, but the effect was starting to wear off as I walked through the rain. I was feeling human once again…at least externally. But my mental state was still causing me to do strange things–like speak to Cally.
Maybe seeing her face smacked me back into reality. I was beginning to feel like my normal self again. But I’m going to be more careful the next time Agent S invites me over to her house.
I noticed that the flowers kind of “bounce” when they get hit by beans too. I like the small details in the game like that.
Merka didn’t feel like touring (not with beans in her eyes), so I just ended the session.
When I returned to the game later on, Pete handed me this letter from Nintendo. Now through June 20th, the general’s stool is available at Nintendo Zone locations. It was previously only available in the Japanese version of the game.
I headed up to the post office and got the package from Pelly.
I wasn’t so sure that I wanted a sample of the general’s stool, but I opened it up anyway. This is what it looks like; it can be ordered from the catalog for just 1,200 bells.
Tom told me that his Re-Tail had a premium on golden peaches today, so I headed over to his town Tomville. Unfortunately, I only had two baskets of perfect peaches, plus two extras. But I scored a cool 120,000 bells for those 20 peaches. Not bad.
Tom’s friends Fur (from Kega) and Katie (from Keyblade) also dropped by Tomville for a visit.
Tom called it a night after just a few minutes, though. So he told us to SCRAM as he kicked us all out.
Merka came over to collect signatures for a petition, and then we headed out to the island for some tours. The selection wasn’t that great today, but we went on several pros-only bug tours. That earned us 12 medals each time (plus a bonus).
Kabuki asked me for a butterfly, so I gave him a tiger butterfly I had in my pockets. He rewarded me with an A tee.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Chris from Roker was my most recent dream visitor. Thank you all for reading this blog. I’ll see you next time!
