Little Kid Cube

On Sunday, Agent S told me that she was planning on moving out of Forest in early July.

Agent S: Hey there! I know it's totally out of the blue, and I hope I don't shock you. But I'm thinking of moving.

I decided to let her go, for a few reasons. For one thing, I’ve been trying to shake up what was a stagnant villager list to keep things more interesting. Secondly, she’s been in town for eight and a half years (since Jan. 2014), which is a very long stay already. And thirdly, I still have Agent S in New Horizons, where she can’t leave until I say so. πŸ˜›

But her exit still isn’t set in stone, because villagers can change their minds on their own in New Leaf. (And I’m not going to stop talking to her just to make sure she leaves.) But most likely, she will be gone by the time I post my next blog entry.

On Monday, Harvey was feeding birds at the drive-in campground. I had fun scaring the birds away (shocking Harvey), and then watching them fly back to the ground. Sometimes the simple little details can be very entertaining. πŸ™‚

Saharah was in town on Tuesday, and I paid her 3,000 bells for some new wallpaper and flooring. She gave me a ramshackle wall and a green rug. I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth this time. πŸ˜›

Sitting on my house, unhappy with the ugly ramshackle wall from Saharah.

Today, I listened in on a conversation between Cube and Molly. Cube asked Molly what people thought of him, and Molly replied that Isabelle called him childlike and cute…and Molly agreed.

Molly: Hmmm? Well, Isabelle said she thought you were quite childlike and cute, quackers, and I agreed.

Cube was upset to hear that people thought of him as a little kid, and he said he’s been drinking coffee before bed every night to show off his maturity. πŸ˜›

Cube: What?! You think of me like a little kid?!
Cube: I've been drinking 3 cups of coffee every night before bed so everyone will see how mature I am!

Molly apologized, saying she didn’t know he was trying so hard. Cube said that if she was really sorry, she should dance the “sorry” dance. Molly reluctantly did so.

Molly, while dancing: I'm sooo so-so-soorrryy!

That’s when Molly realized I was standing right there and saw the whole thing. She got very embarrassed. πŸ˜›

Molly: Cupcake, could you please just forget you ever saw that?! Pleeeaaase, quackers!

That was a cute villager discussion…even if it did end with Cube feeling insulted and Molly feeling embarrassed.

As for my newest resident Cherry, I’ve fulfilled several requests of hers. But I still haven’t seen the inside of her house. She’s been outside (or on Main Street) every day so far.

Cherry Moves In

On June 11th, the path to the Reset Surveillance Center was open. I dropped in for a visit, but Resetti wasn’t very happy to see me. He apparently had to use the toilet urgently, and he was waiting for me to leave so he could go. πŸ˜›

Resetti: I got me an emergency right here! Every second is precious! So get outta here, would ya!

Saharah was in town, and I paid her 3,000 bells to renovate my main room. She installed a basement wall and a tatami. Not bad, but I didn’t keep them up.

A basement wall and a tatami I got from Saharah in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

The next day, Cube asked me for some perfect fruit. I gave him a perfect peach, and he loved eating it…in one bite. πŸ˜‰

Cube: Wow! That was probably the tastiest perfect peach I've ever eaten, in 1 bite.

Last Wednesday, I spotted a silver slingshot flying by!

I shot it down, but it fell into the waterfall. Oops.

After putting some money into the bank, my account balance reached 122 million bells. That is still my highest total of any Animal Crossing game.

On Sunday, there was a camper in town: Cherry the dog! I like her, so I asked her to move to Forest. It took several attempts, but I eventually won a game to convince her to move in!

Cherry, at the campsite: If you win, I'll move to this town! But if you lose...I get to take your perfect peaches home.

Monday, Molly asked me for some furniture to replace a fish. I bought her a kiddie meal from Harv’s shop. πŸ˜‚ Molly loved it, and she gave me a microscope in return.

Molly: Oh! A kiddie meal is exactly what I needed!

It was raining, and Lolly told me that if I jump in puddles, I should dry off later…in five years. πŸ˜›

Lolly: Meow meow!! If you go jumping into puddles, be sure to dry off later, in 5 years.
I will do that.

Yesterday was the summer solstice, so it was bright all night long. Isabelle was at the plaza to hand out ladder shades, and my villagers were talking about how they’ll spend the extra daylight hours.

Boots: Plus, it's the Summer Solstice, so it's gonna be light for a while yet. I can cram in a bunch more reps!

I found Cherry’s house plot very close to where Big Top lived (just a couple of spots to the south). So she’ll be my new next-door neighbor.

Today, Cherry officially moved in. I stopped by her house to welcome her to Forest.

Cherry: After that camping trip, I rushed home and got my stuff together... Moving was pretty hectic!

Rolf said he was going to say hello to the new neighbor soon. But he had the nerve to say that he was the “Shadow Mayor!”

Rolf: Being the Shadow Mayor, I'm gonna have to go check this person out sooner rather than later!

He later told me he wanted to move out of town on July 1st, but I made him change his mind. I can’t see myself letting Rolf leave unless I get him in another game.
