Rolf’s Close Call

Yesterday, Mira told me that she had a fight with Molly, and she wanted to send a gift as an apology. I agreed to help out by delivering the gift.

Molly: Oh! This is from Mira? It's an apology for fighting.

The gift was a blue-stripe tee, and Molly thought it looked better than she expected.

Molly: ...Hey! This looks better than I thought it would!

Molly thanked me, and she gave me the hanten shirt she was wearing as my reward.

Rolf was talking about it being deep into the fall season and the fallen leaves…

Rolf: We're deep in fall now. I bet you just think of it as that time of year when all the leaves pile up...

But it wasn’t just seasonal dialogue, as I had mistakenly assumed. He was planning on moving out of town…on October 31st! I quickly changed his mind for him, but that was a pretty close call. I don’t think I’d willingly let Rolf move out unless I got him in New Horizons. I’d like to have (at least) one version of him at all times.

Meanwhile, Jeremiah asked me to pick an orange for him…so he doesn’t flood the town with drool thinking about one. 😛

Jeremiah: Will you get me an orange so I don't flood the town with my drool?

I went out and found one for him, and he loved it. He thanked me by giving me a sewing machine. That’s not my favorite reward; it was just sew-sew.

There was a lost item (a bag) on the ground, and I returned it to Inkwell. He said it was his “all-purpose bag of workouty goodness.”

Inkwell: Oh, yeah! My all-purpose bag of workouty goodness!

He rewarded me with a different type of bag, a golf bag. 🏌️

Today, I received a letter from Mom in the mail. The surprising this is that she sent me a perfect apple! It’s fairly rare to get a perfect foreign fruit from Mom!

Three times tonight, I was asked to trade a gem of mine for a shirt! Mira did it twice, and then Inkwell did it as well. Sorry, but no deal!

Inkwell: I'll trade wrap shirt on my team. Amethyst on your team comes over to me.

Marina was talking about her lovely love seat, and how she likes to dangle her feet over the side as she reads.

Marina: Lately I've been enjoying lying on my lovely love seat, my feet dangling over the side while I read.

I’m pretty sure she doesn’t even have feet. And of course I like Marina…but the thought of eight (or even six) tentacles dangling over the edge of a love seat is not exactly the most pleasant mental image to me.

It’s almost Halloween, so I hope you all have a fun (and safe) time! 🎃
