“Sweet Cheeks” Hamlet

Remember how Hamlet was talking about how he watches construction workers and it makes his muscles tingle? The very next day, he sent me a letter saying someone has been calling him “sweet cheeks!” Haha…

Jeff, I'm not sure what to do. Someone in town is calling me "sweet cheeks." Is that a compliment, or have I been attracting bees lately? -HamletOf course, hamsters have cheek pouches where they store food. But I don’t think those are the cheeks the construction workers were referring to. 😛

Beth invited me over to her town Acorn the other night to see the meteor shower. I also met her neighbor Bonbon while I was there.

Bonbon: It's like diamonds are shooting across the sky! I wish some would fall into my hands, deelish!I wanted Bonbon to get her wish. So I also wished that a shooting star would land on her. Here it comes…

A shooting star flies across the sky, headed for Bonbon.
Bye bye, Bonbon.

Yesterday, Lily was camping at my campsite once again. She camped here one day in August too!

Lily, at the campsite: Oh, hello. Are you from here? I fell in love with this town and decided to take a camping trip here.

Near the Roost today, Hamlet told me he was seeing visions of Camofrog floating by, after an intense workout.

Hamlet: For a moment, everything went white! Then, beyond the light, I saw an image of Camofrog floating by...He then dismissed it as dizziness after cartwheeling everywhere.

Hamlet: Or maybe I was just dizzy after cartwheeling all over the place. In my ear!
You’re right, dizziness comes from in your ear.

My recent dream visitors have been Cabbage from Clock, Xavier from Quigley, Jacob from Home, and Didi from Bluecove. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Camofrog Moves In

Lately I’ve been letting my perfect peach trees die. Even though it’s a small change, the dead trees should fit in with the Halloween theme. I’ll replant them again in November.

Two dead trees in my New Leaf town of Forest.Last night, I spotted a new house plot. It belongs to Camofrog. I’m pretty sure he came from the town of Arrested, since I know he lived there (and I haven’t StreetPassed anyone lately or played with anyone other than Beth’s characters).

Sign: This spot reserved for Camofrog's new home. -Nook's HomesToday, Big Top asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Molly, and Pashmina. I found Molly almost immediately, hiding behind Julian’s house.

Molly: Oh no! You found me!A few minutes later, I found Pashmina hiding behind a tree and Big Top hiding behind Pashmina’s house. As Big Top congratulated me on winning the game, I noticed that he has picked up Pashmina’s catchphrase.

Big Top: Hats off to you, I peed.I found the new house and went inside to meet Forest’s newest villager, Camofrog. He seemed to think he was playing hide-and-seek too!

Camofrog: Ah, Jeff! So you found me!
You’re not camouflaged indoors, you know.

Camofrog is alright, I guess. He’s not one of my favorites, but I don’t dislike him either. The only bad thing is that Forest is full once again, so I can’t accept any campers (or Lily from Acorn) now.

On my central bridge, I stopped to chat with Hamlet. It was an odd conversation…

Hamlet: Old dudes at construction sites are the coolest, aren't they?

Hamlet: The kind of manual labor they do... It makes my muscles tingle just thinking about it!
What a curious comment.

So, let me get this straight. Hamlet watches old men at construction sites and it makes his muscles tingle? Uhm, okay… That may be too much information. I don’t know if I’ll ever think of Hamlet the same.

Meanwhile, Pashmina was fishing…but not catching anything. Apparently she zones out while watching her bobber–even forgetting to breathe! And then she…well, you know.

Pashmina: Sometimes I hold my breath while watching my bobber without even realizing it... Gasp! I peed! And last but not least, I found that Bob was sick with a cold! I bought some medicine for him, so I hope he’ll get better soon. Make sure to take plenty of catnaps, Bob!

Bob flips as he takes some cold medicine.

My most recent dream visitor was Pearl from Myrtle, although Pashmina also mentioned Sylvi from Tailvill.

Just a reminder that my Wild World blog and Disney Magical World 2 blog are now both online. They are updated frequently, so feel free to check them out anytime.

First Double Rainbow

When I started up the game today, I saw something surprising: a double rainbow! Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve seen a double rainbow in my own town! I have seen them in dream towns before (including Mark’s), and “in person” in Merka’s town once. But here is Forest’s first double rainbow, as seen from my western bridge.

A double rainbow appears at the entrance to Main Street.Down by the river, Hamlet told me that he was planning on moving out of town on October 18th. I thought about it, but I didn’t want to let him go just yet.

Hamlet: Everyone always expects me to be Mr. Positive. But what if I just feel like being moody sometimes?Julian was also nearby, so I had a chat with him as well. He said that he’d like someone to see a rainbow reflected in his eyes, so they could see two rainbows at once.

Julian: Just once... I'd like someone to see a rainbow reflected in my eyes.Julian: It'd be like they could see two rainbows at once. Wouldn't that be magical, my horn?

One other small change I’ve made to my town for Halloween: I’ve put some black and orange roses in front of the metal bench in my central park.

My recent dream visitors have been Rayna from Kit Kat, Yole from New Leaf, and Elaine from Hellbrah. Thank you all for visiting!

By the way, Nintendo has just released Animal Crossing Wild World for the Wii U Virtual Console today in the American eShop! (It has already been released in other regions). But I predict a Wild World Blog will appear later tonight! 😉
