Bob asked me for a piece of fruit yesterday, so I gave him a perfect orange I got from Squishy. He loved it!
Since it blew him away, he rewarded me with…a garden gnome! Wait, what? Why?
Beth, who has green hair now, had a meteor shower in her town Acorn. She invited me over to enjoy the shooting stars. I wished that this giant, creepy panda would stop following me around.
In Forest today, Bob told me that he likes to imagine the scenery that music is describing. Too bad he was just listening to Meow Mix commercials.
Hamlet told me he was feeling hot. Apparently the little guy is sick!
So I went up to the Emporium to buy some medicine for him. Get well soon, Hammie!
And outside, Julian was talking about Mike (the mayor of the town he came from). He said that they used to dance together! Although he couldn’t remember if it was the flamenco or the tarantella. Either way, that’s more than I do with my villagers! The only dance they’ll ever see me do is the Shrunk Funk Shuffle.

If I were to really nitpick, I would say it’s a bit disappointing that two of the houses seem to be used for nothing but villager pictures. I would have liked to see more themed rooms like this one. If there’s a better use for the mermaid furniture set than this

After I left the party, I put some money into my bank account at the post office. My balance reached 79 million bells.
The August Bug-Off competition was held today, so I got a couple of emperor butterflies out of my dock box. I normally keep them there for the times when a villager asks for a butterfly, but they come in handy for the Bug-Off as well. The first one scored 81 points from Nat, and it took over the top spot in the competition.
Nat rewarded me with a ladybug chair. The next emperor butterfly did even better, scoring 95 points! This time, Nat gave me a firefly lamp. The third emperor only scored 78 points, so I stopped there. I put the firefly lamp in my frog room (so I now have two of them in there).
Bob approached me and said he had a math question for me. He started off by saying a pig gave birth to 8 piglets, and then he said another mama pig had 9 piglets.
But then he never asked me for a total; he just sniffed and said he’s happy for the mama pigs. What an odd story…it doesn’t add up.
I finished up my night with some live music at Club LOL. I asked K.K. the singing dog for a random song, and he played K.K. Lullaby for me. Kidd stood behind me throughout the song.
