Mandatory Morning Muffins

Today, Dizzy was telling me about the time he ate so much creamed spinach that he popped the button off his pants. But he doesn’t even wear pants! Well, maybe that’s why: He never replaced the button.

Dizzy: I ate so much creamed spinach I popped the button off my pants!Saharah was in town, and she put in a tree-lined wall and a tatami on my floor. I guess they’re kind of nice, but I didn’t care to keep either of them right now.

A tree-lined wall and a tatami.A message posted on the bulletin board informed me that the meteor shower was going to be tonight. So when darkness fell, I returned to wish on a shooting star.

Wishing on a shooting star.Agent S asked me to collect signatures for a petition called Mandatory Morning Muffins. Sounds like a great cause!

Agent S: I need folks from other towns to sign my petition. I've called it Mandatory Morning Muffins!I noticed that “Mandatory Morning Muffins” can be abbreviated as MMM. How appropriate. Merka let me drop by her town Bribs (which is my nickname for Brisbane) to collect the signatures. It was nice to see three of my former villagers again: Sprinkle, Kidd, and Drago! I made them all sign up, not that it was hard to do. I mean, who could say no to muffins?

Sprinkle: I totally knew you'd be dropping by today, frappe!Kidd: Hey, I've been hoping you'd drop by my place, Jeff. It's even better with you in it!I also got Sheldon, Gruff, and Benjamin to join the cause.

Petition signatures: Sprinkle - Kidd - Sheldon - Gruff - Benjamin - DragoI returned to Forest and gave the completed petition back to Agent S. She rewarded me with a regal dresser, which isn’t exactly an amazing gift. But she did say I deserved a diamond-studded tambourine…she just couldn’t afford one. Thanks anyway, Agent S. And a special thank you to Merka as well!

Agent S: I totally should have given you a tambourine studded with diamonds for all your trouble.

Gala on Main Street

My former villager Gala has now started appearing on Main Street, and I had a chat with her in the Emporium. I hope she’s still doing well in Wendy’s town…

Gala: Hi, Jeff! How are you? There's always something happening here on Forest's Main Street.Ricky was camping at the campsite last night, so I went in to say hello. I considered inviting him to move in, but then I decided against it. He doesn’t seem like a bad animal to have around, although Agent S might not have liked the competition for nuts and acorns this time of year!

Ricky: I heard the local specialty is one of my favorites, the peach! I love this town!Speking of Agent S, she told me she met an awesome fashionista named Mew from Kittan! There’s a name I haven’t heard in a while! Hi Gia, if you still stop by here! 🙂

Agent S: You know, I just met Mew from Kittan. I was all like, what an awesome fashionista!Today, I found a lost item on the ground. I hope it’s not an empty bag this time! Why can’t I peek inside?

Finding a lost item on the ground. As luck would have it, it belonged to the first person I asked about it! Dizzy thanked me for returning his bag, as he questioned why he was such a space cadet. Wait, what?

Dizzy: Excellent! You found my bag! Why am I such a space cadet?!He gave me a nice reward, though: his picture! This isn’t the first time he’s given me his picture, so it’s not a huge deal, but it is a really nice gift!

Dizzy: Here. Please take Dizzy's pic for your trouble!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Gwen from Mayville was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Getting Tom’s Pic

Tom is now officially a former resident of Forest, and I got his goodbye letter in the mail today. The good news is that he sent me his picture! I was afraid that he wouldn’t send it, since his stay in Forest was fairly short.

Tom's goodbye letter.I put it in my house, although some of my rooms are getting overrun with villager pictures. I may need to start putting some of them into storage one of these days.

Tom's picture in my house.Tom’s favorite quote is “There’s no use crying over spilled milk.” I guess that could be applied to him leaving town without giving me a chance to stop him. He’s a cool cat, and I’ll miss him, but that will let another animal move into town. And I do still have him in my GameCube town, at least.

Tom's favorite quote: There's no use crying over spilled milk. For the first time since Velma moved into town, she pinged me! I thought she was finally going to suggest a public works project for me. But no, she only wanted to visit my house. I told her no.

Velma: I wouldn't want to be accused of being a nosy goat, so forget I asked. There was a tent set up at the campsite, so of course I went in to see was visiting. I actually have two vacancies in Forest now. But the camper was Bunnie, and I wasn’t interested in her taking up one of those spots.

Bunnie: I know it's kinda sudden, but I've decided to set up camp here.Big Top asked me to catch a butterfly fish for him, so I went to the ocean to do some fishing. About six or seven fish later, I caught what I was looking for.

I caught a butterfly fish! As mayor, welcome to my pockets!I took it back to Big Top, and he thanked me by giving me a crossing shirt. It’s always disappointing to get a shirt as a reward, but I guess it’s better than stationery.

Big Top: Thanks again for your help, cool guy! Maybe I'll bug you for help again sometime!
