Yesterday, Coach was camping out at the campsite. But I had no interest in asking him to move in.
I didn’t play this morning, so I was unable to buy any turnips for the week. But when I started up the game this evening, Pete met me outside my house with this letter from Nintendo. Now through September 26th, you can get a shogi piece at Nintendo Zone locations.
The letter is wrong about this only being available in Japan previously, because it was released as DLC back in October of 2013. Since I already received it back then, I didn’t bother downloading it again.
Over by the bamboo trees, I found a lost item on the ground.
I got some bad news today: Tom is moving out of town, without notice! It’s sad to see him go, especially this soon. I’m having doubts that he’ll send me his picture with his moving-out letter, since he was only here for 3.5 months. But I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.
At least I was able to reunite the lost item with its owner, Dizzy. But then he told me it was just an empty bag! I went to all this trouble for an empty bag?
He gave me a green dresser for my trouble.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Sean from New Leaf was my most recent dream visitor. Yesterday’s visitor was Thomas from Kusamura.
Saharah was in town tonight, and I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpet. She installed this tearoom wall and closed road. Uh, thanks a lot.
At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Squishy came over, and she was smuggling oranges again!
I had my net out…you know, for nice, peaceful bug-catching type things, and Meli and Squishy got their hammers out! I’m feeling so attacked right now.
So I had no choice but to run to the event plaza and pick up my toy hammer too.
Hammer time.
After beating each other up, we took our hammers over to the round topiary. We hit it repeatedly, but we couldn’t even make a dent in it!
Rolf asked me for some new furniture, so I gave him one of the many bell crickets I caught tonight. He called me a ho!
It’s okay if you don’t like the gift, but there’s no need for name-calling.
Over by the town tree, I spotted a jolly purple giant!
After a brief net fight on the beach, we headed out to the island.
We didn’t go on any tours, we just caught bugs and fish. I’m trying to get the gold badges, so I was just catching anything I could. I didn’t care if the bugs and fish were rare or not, I just wanted credit for them. Squishy was fishing, and she kept catching inklings squids.
We returned to the mainland and went in the Roost for some coffee. Then Merka came over to visit.
Somehow, I ended up in a hole near my stump. Squishy and Meli tried to play innocent.
Actually, I dug the hole myself. And then I dug some more.
I took a pic as Merka was flipping out of her hole, and she looked like a monster! Who’s that Pokemon?
We went into Re-Tail just before they closed for the night. Reese was only paying 37 bells for turnips tonight, I believe.
Squishy left, and then Rodney joined in. Merka and I were still in Re-Tail, even though Meli and Rodney couldn’t get in. Cyrus woke up and became the DJ for our private party! 😉
Rodney started talking about airlines, but it was all over my head.
I went up to Club LOL for a real DJ, K.K. Inkling.
However, Dr. Shrunk was kind of creeping me out.
After a while, we got disconnected. Since it was getting close to midnight anyway, I decided not to reopen. But thanks for coming Squishy, Meli, Merka, and Rodney! I had a good time!
UPDATE: You may remember I took an ogre’s wig to Lyndsey yesterday. To thank me, she has drawn a picture of my Animal Crossing character and two of my favorite villagers, Rolf and Molly. She even added in some fireworks, which was a very nice surprise. Here’s the pic:
I think she did a great job! I shrunk the pic down a bit; for the higher quality version, see it here. And if you want to check out more of Lyndsey’s art, see her Tumblr blog.
Thank you all for stopping by the blog! I hope you have a good weekend! 🙂
Last night, Meli came over to sell some turnips shortly before Re-Tail closed.
Today, the weather was nice and Aurora said it was good weather for making cotton candy. Sounds good to me!
By the way, I noticed the grass color changed a few days ago (but I forgot to mention it in the blog).
Today, I went over to Lyndsey’s town Melontea to make a delivery. I was greeted by a witch! But don’t worry, it was a nice witch. 😛
I gave her the item (an ogre’s wig) and she put it on. It looks better on her than it did on me, that’s for sure! She seemed to enjoy it.
She wanted to thank me (besides just paying me in bells for ordering it), so she said she’s going to draw my Animal Crossing character! She may put Rolf and Molly in the picture too! I’ll post a picture or at least a link to the picture in a future blog entry.
Up at the Dream Suite tonight, Luna told me that Ellis from New Leaf was my most recent dream visitor.
Not much else was going on in Forest today. I caught a few bugs and fish, hoped for Phineas to magically pop up (he didn’t), and talked to my villagers. Things should be a bit more lively tomorrow, because Friday Night Forest starts at 10 p.m. Eastern time. Anyone on my 3DS roster is free to visit. So check back tomorrow for another entry, although it will be posted late (likely after midnight Eastern time).
