51 Million Bells

Yesterday, in the rain, Dizzy decided to give me a new nickname: Cool guy. Well, I guess it’s better than pookie or cookie or cupcake.

Dizzy: Right on! Here it is, your brand-new nickname: cool guy! This morning, Reese was paying 161 bells for turnips. I sold most of my turnips at that price.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 161 bells.By the afternoon, she was paying 183 bells for them! I quickly sold the remainder of my turnips. Putting my turnip money in the bank made my account balance top 51 million bells.

Your current balance is 51,280,000 bells.Aurora asked me for some furniture to replace her lovely end table. I gave her a lovely chair, and she commented on how lovely it was! 😀

Aurora: Thank you for bringing me a lovely chair. What a lovely remake it is.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Nathan from Awesome was my most recent dream visitor.

Labor Day

Yesterday, I bought some turnips from Joan. She was selling them for 104 bells apiece, and I bought 4,100 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 104 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo? As Pusscat suggested, I posted a notice on the bulletin board to warn everyone that Velma has fleas!

Velma has fleas! Oh jinkies!Yesterday’s stormy weather was replaced with blue, sunny skies today. It’s Labor Day, so Isabelle was at the event plaza to hand out picnic baskets!

Isabelle: Mayor! Today is Labor Day!There was also a face-cutout standee for the occasion, complete with three holes for people to stick their faces through. While my two headless friends played badminton, I grabbed some food.

The Labor Day face-cutout standee.I stopped by my house to take a look at the picnic basket.

The picnic basket in my house.Back outside, Velma watched me catch a butterfly. But she didn’t seem to appreciate the effort.

Velma: Catching bugs, Jeff? Well, someone's got to do it, blih.I headed up to Main Street, where Luna told me Isaiah from Palm Bay was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Emporium, Tom was glad that the store didn’t have a cosmetics counter, because the perfume makes him dizzy!

Tom: This place doesn't have a cosmetics counter, so I don't have to worry about perfume making me dizzy!I hope you all had a nice Labor Day (for those in the U.S. at least). And I hope the rest of you had a nice day regardless. See you next time!

Returning a Book in the Rain

It was raining in town today. Normally, that would be a good thing since it would mean I wouldn’t have to water my flowers. But since I’m on the beautiful town ordinance now, I don’t have to water them anyway. But at least I get to see my villagers holding umbrellas, I guess.

Daisy: Not even the rain can stop you from playing outside, huh?Big Top noticed an exotic lamp in my pockets and asked to buy it for a nut. I told him he could just pay me in bells instead.

Big Top: Would you consider selling your exotic lamp to me? For a nut?Back behind the town tree, I found a lost item. I wonder who this could belong to?

Finding a lost item on the ground. My search led me right back to Big Top! He thanked me for returning it, and he gave me a bamboo shoot. Of course I already had two bamboo shoots in my pockets, but thanks anyway, big guy.

Big Top: Hey! This is my book!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Lilee from Chi Town was my most recent dream visitor.

The Able Sisters had a police cap today, and I bought it for somebody.

Labelle: The police cap? Ooh, good choice!Back in town, Velma had a flea on her, so I caught it. I guess she can catch ghosts and criminals, but not tiny insects.

Velma: Get it off! Get it off!She told me to keep it a secret, but let’s be real here. Aurora already saw you freak out. She knows, and soon, the world will know.

Velma: I can't believe you found a flea on me. Let's just keep this our little secret, OK?After wrapping things up, I started up my game with Booker. He put on the police hat and he’s ready to go get some donuts. Or just, stand by a gate for eternity, I suppose.

My Booker characters puts on the police cap.I do need to buy him some pants, though…
