Dreaming of Hitokui

It was a sunny day in Forest, and Kabuki was enjoying the nice weather.

Kabuki: How about this weather? It's like the sun's taken a...shine...to us! You get it? It's warm!
Hey Kabuki? Leave the bad puns to me.

Later on, I changed my path back to the green bricks. The repeating ink blotches of Splatoon didn’t make the best-looking path.

Changing back to my green brick path.I went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town, and I got a bit of a surprise when I checked my latest visitor. According to Luna, it was <3s JVGS from Poop. It was kind of flattering, at least until I reached part #2. 😀

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named <3s JVGS from Poop enjoyed your dream.
That’s certainly an interesting name and town. But still, thank you for visiting!

I wasn’t done in the Dream Suite just yet, though. I decided to take a dream visit to a horror-themed town suggested by Heidi and Abbie (in October 2013). The town’s name is Hitokui and the dream address is 2600-1856-4772. Update: The current dream address as of September 2017 is 1C00-0077-A492.

I visited the cafe, where a variety of tasty foods was served. Wait, is the chef missing an eye? I hope it doesn’t end up in my salad or anything. But I’ll keep an eye out for it.

Hitokui cafe.Just a fair warning that this town does contain some bloody patterns, and some of them will be shown in the following pictures. If you don’t want to see them, you may want to skip the rest of this blog entry.

The basement of the cafe has some bloody knives. And some empty cribs. Exactly what kind of meat do you serve here??

Bloody knives and empty cribs in Hitokui. One of the other houses seems to function as a church…complete with a cemetery in the back. R.I.P., my lunch.

Church cemetery in Hitokui. In a small bathroom, it looks like something broke through the bars. Did it break in or out?

A bathroom in Hitokui. It was raining outside, and I saw a mummy holding an umbrella!

A bandaged person (a mummy?) holding an umbrella in Hitokui. In another house, I found where they perform experiments on people. Am I next in line?

A freaky lab room in Hitokui.Another room has a collection of scary creatures. Yikes! That thing is huge!

A room full of bugs and other creatures in Hitokui. And of course, every horror town is legally obligated to have at least one of these creepy dolls. Although the doll isn’t the creepiest thing in this room…

Have a good weekend, everyone! If you’re looking for more good dream towns to visit, please check out Jeff’s Dream Suite Adventures!

Little Red Riding Hood

Yesterday, Saharah was in town. I hired her to redecorate my house, and she put in this parquet floor and summit wall. I really like that summit wall, so I decided to keep it in storage.

Parquet floor and summit wall.Velma wanted my ruby, but I was surprised by how little she offered me in return.

Velma: Would you trade it to me for my red tulips?A flower for a ruby? It’s ridiculous! Still, I accepted her trade offer. I want to get on her good side, so she can start requesting some PWPs.

Today, I got this letter from Daisy.

I've always wanted to try sending a surprise present! It took me over 5 hours to pick this out. -DaisyShe sent me a gift that took her over five hours to pick out. Wow, I bet it’s great!

Me trying on a red hood.A red hood? Are you kidding me? Do I look like Little Red Riding Hood to you, Daisy? You’re going in my doghouse now!

Dizzy told me he had something to deliver to Big Top, but he said he was so hungry that he couldn’t move very far. But Big Top was right there…

Dizzy: I have something I want to give to Big Top, but I'm so hungry I can't move very far.I took the item up to Big Top, and he told me it was really a gift for me. It was such a thoughtful gift that it made my eyes water. Or maybe it was just the gift that did that.

Big Top: It's a humidifier!Molly asked me for a butterfly, but I didn’t see any out at the time. So I grabbed an emperor butterfly out of my dock box and gave it to her. She rewarded me with a bishop.

Molly: It's a bishop.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Genesis from Lochland was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Big Top the Baby Seller

Tonight, I found a lost item outside of Aurora’s house. Could it belong to Aurora? Nah, that would be too easy.

Finding a lost item on the ground. Before I could ask Big Top if the bag was his, he offered to sell me a baby! I’m pretty sure that’s illegal. But I bought it anyway.

Big Top: Hi there. I'm looking to offload my baby bear for 640 bells. Any interest?I heard a flea jumping around when I walked by Velma. I helped her out by catching it.

Velma: Get it off! Get it off! Oh! You did!She then unmasked the flea and found out it was really a blood-bank robber in disguise! Good thing we foiled his plans! Now he can goat straight to jail!

I eventually found out that the lost bag belonged to Rolf. He thanked me for returning it and he gave me a grape-stripe shirt.

Rolf: Oh wait! I guess I DID drop it!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Chiebuka from Aniville was my most recent dream visitor.

As you may know, I’ve been updating this blog five times a week for a while now (and seven days a week for a long time prior to that). But as you play any game for hundreds (or thousands) of hours, it reaches a point where there’s not as much to do that you haven’t done countless times before.

So I will be slowing down a bit. You can now expect 3-4 entries per week instead of five. I’ll still try to do four entries a week most of the time (for a while at least), but that will likely slow to three entries in the coming weeks or months. But don’t worry, I’m not giving up on New Leaf. More Dream Suite Adventures, QR codes, videos, and guides are yet to come!

There will be new things to look forward to, as well. Happy Home Designer comes out next month, and I will be blogging about that as soon as the game comes out. I’ll also be starting a blog for Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, which comes out in the winter. Thank you all who visit this blog and JVGS.
