Selling and Buying Turnips

Yesterday, I headed over to Merka’s town Bribs to sell my turnips (her Re-Tail was paying 126 bells apiece for them). I also briefly met Pepper there; she was buying Whitney from Merka.

Merka and Pepper in Bribs. This morning, I bought a new batch of turnips here in Forest. Joan was selling them for 102 bells each.

Joan: The asking price is 102 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?I made a trip out to the island and went on an advanced price-fishing tour. I caught 46,740 bells worth of fish, which earned me a gold Tortimer award and 12 medals.

Tortimer: WHOA! You're a master angler! You've earned a Gold Tortimer award and 12 medals!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Ozzie from New Bark was my most recent dream visitor.

As for Booker, he now has a house. Isabelle stopped by to give me some wallpaper, a paw-print wall.

Isabelle: That reminds me! I brought over some wallpaper to celebrate your new home! And my mom sent me a pine table in the mail, so here’s a look at both of Booker’s possessions.

My new paw-print wall and pine table. When I went up to Nook Homes, Tom Nook told me I now owe him 39,800 bells. I don’t plan on fully expanding Booker’s house, but I will upgrade it at least once. Beyond that, I’ll just wait and see how things go.

Tom Nook: 39,800 bells. That's the total amount of your paltry little loan. A mere trifle, really, yes?Yesterday was my town’s two-year anniversary. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or not, I appreciate all of you who read this blog. Thank you very much. If you’d like to re-live my first moments in New Leaf, here’s a video that shows when I first get off the train and arrive in Forest.

Booker’s First House Payment

Yesterday, Jeff left some money for Booker. He used it to pay off his first house payment. Greedy Tom Nook was happy to get his paws on some bells.

Tom Nook: Yes! Yes! Exactly 10,000 bells! That does make me rather happy.Booker was also happy that he would have his own house.

I paid the down payment! I'll be able to move into my home tomorrow!Later on, Jeff found the entrance to the Reset Center open.

An open manhole leading to the Reset Center.I used the voice recognition system to send Resetti scrambling. So long, Sonny!

Resetti: WHOA! What're ya doin'?Tonight, Merka came over to collect signatures for a petition. She sure seems to get a lot of these things. They’ve all been for Sly, too!

Merka visits Forest.Saharah was in town, and I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpet. She put in this music-room wall and classroom floor.

A music-room wall and classroom floor. And up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Emily from Emily was my most recent dream visitor! I guess that makes it easy to answer questions when the answer to everything is Emily.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Emily from Emily enjoyed your dream.By the way, yesterday’s dream visitor was Echo from Tickputt. I’m getting some interesting dreamers lately!

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be Forest’s 2-year anniversary! I’ll be working on a slideshow video showing the 2nd Year in Pictures. Look for that sometime next week probably. Has anyone here been reading since the beginning? Feel free to chime in and leave a comment! Thank you all for reading my New Leaf adventures, and I hope you’ll continue to follow along. 🙂

There may not be a blog entry on Saturday, but I should be back with another entry on Sunday. I hope to see you then, and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Cally Comes to Town

Cally moved in today, so I went in to say hello. She told me she moved from a town called Wubbaton. Wubba dubba dub, is that true?

Cally: Oh, do you live around here? I'm Cally, and I'm new to town. I used to live in Wubbaton. Her eyes make it look like she’s always looking up at a bug on the ceiling.

Cally in her new home.It was raining in town tonight again; that’s a good thing. It’s not officially the rainy season yet, but it might as well be. The rain has been pretty frequent the past week or so. Anyway, Rolf told me I was the second-manliest dude in town. And then he called me “Number Two!” Excuse me? You better wipe that grin off your face!

Rolf: You might be the second-manliest dude in town! Congratulations, Number Two! GAHAHA!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Ashlynn from Sandiego was my most recent dream visitor.

When I went down to the beach, I saw something large and round…and at first glance, I wasn’t sure what I was looking at!

Is that a wagon wheel or an umbrella? It turned out to be Kabuki holding an umbrella. When he’s facing away from the “camera,” his body is completely hidden from view.

After a quick trip out to the island, Jeff ended his session for the day. But I wasn’t done just yet! Due to my storage filling up with all these non-orderable items (like the newspaper helmet), I decided it was time to make a second character!

Actually it’s not the first time I’ve made additional characters. If you were reading this blog in 2013, you may remember that I once had characters named Dude and Dudette. But I only used them as models for my hair guide. Once I completed my guide, I deleted those characters. But my new character is here to stay.

I wanted to put his house near the police station…but with Agent S’s house there, it wouldn’t fit. So I put it just north of there, close to my face-cutout standee. My new character’s name? Say hello to Booker.

Tom Nook: Ta-da! And with that, this space is officially yours, Booker! After Tom Nook pitched a tent for me, I went back to Isabelle to seal the deal. Booker is now officially a Forest resident!

Starting today, I'm an official resident of Forest! When I went back up to Nook Homes, Tom Nook told me I owed him 10,000 bells; he also went on about how generous he is.

Tom Nook: I'm quite a generous raccoon! My heart is about the size of a four-bedroom, two-bath duplex, hm?I tried to pay him 100 bells that I got from a tree, but he insisted he needed the full 10 grand in one lump sum. I’ll give you a lump, you punk.

Tom Nook: I need the full 10,000-bell down payment in one lump sum, yes?I have some plans for Booker and his house, but it may take a while to complete. I’ll see you all next time.
