Officially Beautiful

Gulliver sent me a shamrock clock in the mail today from Ireland.

A message was posted on the bulletin board confirming that Forest is now a beautiful town and the ordinance is now in effect.

~ Forest News ~ Forest established the Keep Forest Beautiful ordinance starting today!

There was another camper over at the campsite, Freckles the duck. I’ve had her in previous Animal Crossing games, and she’s kind of cute, but I didn’t invite her to move in.

Freckles: This trip was SO last minute, but I'm totally glad I listened to that little voice inside my head!Big Top informed me that he’s on Twitter. Of course, I already knew.

Big Top: I'm on Twitter! I love it! It's so cool sounding!A bit later on, I spoke with Big Top again and he asked me for an apple. I tracked one down for him, and he thanked me by giving me some brown pot.

Big Top: Oh! I should give you something, shouldn't I? OK, please take my brown pot as thanks!I went up to the Dream Suite and updated my dream town (before it was completely dark for a change), and Luna told me that Michael from Windfall was my most recent dream visitor.

Back to Beautiful

Wendy came over to pick up a couple of items this evening. She had a different look than I’m used to seeing from her.

Wendy stops by for a visit.I walked past my face-cutout standee, and Wendy took the bait. She fell into the pitfall behind the grave!

Wendy fell into a pitfall.Nintendo was experiencing some technical difficulties, and it disconnected us once. But I reopened and she got her stuff, and then I ended the party.

After that, I decided to switch my town back to the beautiful town ordinance. This time of year is usually pretty dry, so I thought this would be a good time to make the switch. It will only be temporary, though. I’ll probably change back to night owl once the snow starts falling regularly.

Isabelle: Then it's official! The ordinance will go into effect tomorrow morning! When I spoke to Drago, he told me that he met Gwen from Tropical in a dream. At first I wondered if that was a character from Yann’s town, but I don’t think Yann has a character named Gwen.

Drago: So the other night, Gwen from Tropical showed up in my dream!Down on the beach, I caught up with a barely-conscious Gulliver. His clues indicated he was headed to Ireland, so he’ll be shipping me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: It's to the point they sometimes call this place the Emerald Isle.As I ran across the beach, I soon found out I was having a bad luck day.

Falling on the beach.Rolf told me he was going to move out of town on October 25th. But of course, I made him stay.

Rolf: I guess I'll stay in Forest for a little while longer and continue bothering people a bit more!I was going to see Katrina to see if she would sell me a lucky item, but she was already closed for the night. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Linda from 1D World was my most recent dream visitor.

How to Replace a Shark

This morning, Joan was selling turnips for 101 bells apiece. I bought 3,000 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 101 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?I had some furniture customized, as I usually do, and I have to say I love how this exotic bed came out in black and red. That is one attractive piece of furniture!

Take home the exotic bed?Over by the Roost, Sprinkle asked me for some furniture to replace her shark.

Sprinkle: My shark could be replaced...but I'd have to swap it out with something the same size. But the only furniture on me that was the right size was that exotic bed. I was hoping she’d give me the shark as a thank-you gift, but instead she gave me a game-show stand. Maybe I can host “Whose Shark is it Anyway?”

Sprinkle: It's a game-show stand! Thanks so much!I ordered a couple of western items from my catalog for Wendy and updated my dream town. I then decided to take a trip out to the island. I went on the official gardening tour, where I finished the task with one minute and 46 seconds to spare. That was good enough for a gold Tortimer award and 8 medals.

Completing a successful gardening tour.
