A Rare Rainy Day

The rainy season may be a distant memory now, but I had a rare rainy day in Forest today. I was glad to get a break from watering flowers.

The pouring rain.At some point soon, I’ll probably switch back to the beautiful town ordinance. I’m just reluctant because it’ll mean I won’t be able to shop most days, plus I won’t be able to make more gold roses and there won’t be many weeds (which will delay me from getting the weeding badge). Either way it’s a trade-off.

Big Top tried to tell me he was moving away on September 7th, but I quickly changed his mind for him. It’s always handy to keep a few peanuts in your pockets.

Big Top: I know it's sudden, but I'm leaving on the 7th of this month!Molly was looking for some fish from the top of the cliff in my southwest park.

Molly: Aw, I wonder when I'll get good at fishing... Of course, just hanging around outside is pretty fun too.I made my way up to Main Street, and I updated my dream town at the Dream Suite. Luna told me that Arusa from Himeji was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Happy Homes Showcase, I StreetPassed Jen from Perry. She gave me this blue balloon. Thanks, Jen!

A blue balloon I got from Jen.

Labor Day

September is here, and I got a letter from the post office informing me that my bank account balance has earned me 90,650 bells in interest.

One of my moderators Stace was looking for a skeleton hood, so took one over to her town St. Pete. I also gave her a pink lily.

Stacie: Yay!Another of my moderators, Mark, also dropped off an item for her. I just had to ask him if he was in The Incredibles.

Mark arrives in St. Pete wearing the superhero mask.Gaby also stopped by to drop off some flowers for Stace that she was looking for.

Stacie, Gaby, Jeff, and Mark. After Stace ended the session, I continued my walk around Forest. Octavian came up to me and handed me a robo-stereo for no apparent reason.

Octavian: Just shut up and take my robo-stereo!Today is Labor Day in America, so Isabelle was at the event plaza handing out picnic baskets.

Isabelle: It's a picnic basket! Please take it in celebration of the nice, relaxing Labor Day!There was also a special face-cutout standee for the holiday.

The Labor Day faceboard.I stopped home so that I could take a picture of the picnic basket. Unfortunately, I can’t take any food out of it.

The picnic basket from Isabelle.Squishy’s not in America, so I offered my picnic basket to her. To my surprise, she was awake when I sent her the message and she responded right away. So I headed over to her town Cosmic. But once I got there, I remembered the picnic basket was still in my house from taking that picture. Oops! So I returned home, grabbed the basket, and then returned to Cosmic to drop off the item.

Visiting Squishy in Cosmic. It was actually Festivale in her town! She showed me some changes she made to Rosalina’s house (I’ll be doing a Dream Suite Adventure of her town in the future). But since it was late for her, I didn’t stay long and I returned home.

I went up to my Main Street; Luna told me that Addie from Rooville was my most recent dream visitor. And in Able Sisters, I saw the red headgear and green headgear were both for sale, right next to each other.

Red headgear and green headgear.Soon after that, I ended my game for the night. Happy Labor Day!

If anyone is interested in a black and purple dress, check out the one that Becky just submitted to the QR Codes page!

Final Fireworks of 2014

I found Joan this morning and she was selling turnips for 109 bells apiece. I bought 2,800 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 109 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo? When I checked my mail, I found that Wishy sent me a rococo dresser. Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Region from Region was my most recent dream visitor. Hmm, I wonder what region Region is in.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Region from Region enjoyed your dream.Gala told me she was going to move out of town on September 5th, but I talked her out of moving. I want her picture first.

Gala: So I wanted to talk to you about something... I'm leaving town on the 5th of next month.Rolf was still sick, so I took him some medicine again. He said he expects to be all better by tomorrow morning.

Rolf: ...Argh. Tastes nasty! At 8:00, I opened my gate for the fireworks festival. Chris and Squishy came over to visit. Squishy drew a “J” in the air. Actually, it was just a party popper.

Squishy fires off a party popper. We visited with Octavian for a while. Octavian told me it felt like the town tree watches us all!

Octavian: That tree in the event plaza has a weird sorta vibe to it, like it's watching us...At the event plaza, Isabelle gave me a bulb bopper.

Isabelle: When you wear that bulb bopper, you'll shine just as bright as the fireworks!Sprinkle kept telling us all how romantic she thought the fireworks were.

Sprinkle: I hope SOMEONE in town is taking advantage of this utterly romantic fireworks show...Shortly before 8:30, T. Zelda also came over to visit. She kept burying pitfalls and falling into them.

TZ in a pitfall.Someone was dropping fountain fireworks too. One time, Squishy nearly got her beans burned.

Squishy: ahhhhh! We hung out in Molly’s house for a while, talking about the New 3DS, Smash Bros., and Molly’s love life.

Jeff: 3DS and SNES had a XABY.T. Zelda left after a while, but the rest of us hung out outside watching fireworks.

Fireworks show.Of course we made fun of Chris’ hair, saying it looked like he dipped his head in a cotton-candy machine. I advised him to start up another Youtube channel devoted to pancake reviews. He talked as if he might consider it! The world can only hope.

Jeff: Not cotton candy-y enough. We also talked about Tomodachi Life. Chris said that in his game, Batman and the Joker are best friends. And Squishy said that in her game, I married Pauline!

When it got close to 10:00, Squishy said she had to go, so I went ahead and ended the session for the night. I later let Wendy come over to shop before I put the game away for the night.
