Leaf Bed DLC

It’s May 1st, and a new month means new DLC. This month’s item is a leaf bed. It can be re-ordered for 4,200 bells. Don’t forget to pick yours up at the post office!

Leaf bed: 4,200 bells. It seems to defy gravity, and it uses a dew drop as a pillow…I’m not sure I’d enjoy sleeping hovering in the air with my head in a pool of liquid. But that’s just me.

Sleeping on the leaf bed.Kim contacted me today to let me know her Re-Tail was buying turnips for a whopping 388 bells each! I ran to her town and sold my 1,100 turnips for 426,800 bells! Thank you very much, Kim!

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 426,800 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Outside of my own Re-Tail later on, I found a lost item. Shockingly, it belonged to the first animal I asked about it: Aurora. She thanked me for returning her book and she gave me her picture!

Aurora: Where did you find it?! I've been looking for this book everywhere! What a relief! This is my treasure! There was a green frog in my campsite, and thankfully it wasn’t Jambette. Instead, it was Frobert.

Frobert: I spend my time doing sit-ups, not sleeping! Fribbit! This little piggy went fishing, and this little piggy caught none. Gala asked me to catch an ocean fish for her, so I caught her a red snapper. (Oh, very tasty). She thanked me and gave me a blue clock in return.

Gala: Wow! A red snapper! Thank you for catching it for me. I knew I could count on you!I went up to the Dream Suite, and Luna told me that Hayden from Victoria was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Happy Homes Showcase, I ran into Ian again (as I often do). And once again, he had ice cream for me! Today’s flavor was strawberry.

Ian and the strawberry ice cream he gave me.As I returned to town, Nan pinged me. She told me she was going to move out on May 5th! I told her it was a good idea to leave…but then she seemed to change her mind. Bummer.

Nan: Maybe I should reconsider this, villain.I finished up my night by giving away my previous (vanilla) ice cream cone. So I went to Pakuyumi’s town Basket to drop it off.

Pakuyumi: Thank you haha.Tomorrow will be my town‘s one-year anniversary! I know City Folk would recognize when your town was one year old, so I’ll find out tomorrow if New Leaf does the same.

And just as a reminder, I will not be opening my New Leaf gate tomorrow night (since it’s the first Friday of the month). So tomorrow’s blog entry will probably be posted a lot earlier than the typical Friday entry.

Sci-Fi Giveaway

Tia came up to me today and told me I could use a fresh tee! How rude!

Tia: I hope this isn't presumptuous, but I think you could use a fresh tee.But she was right; I had been wearing that shirt for a while. And I haven’t washed it in weeks. So I tried on the fresh tee and I decided to keep it on.

Putting on my fresh tee.I decided to take advantage of the daylight and take some pictures around town.

Forest's southwest park. You can see the other pictures on my newly-updated town page.

Kim came over to pick up some items I had for her, and she also needed to collect signatures for a petition. When I went up to the Able Sisters, I saw a deep-blue tee on sale.

Mabel: The sporty vibe of the deep-blue tee is nice, right? It’s basically a blue version of the fresh tee. And if Tia hadn’t just given me a new shirt to wear, I probably would have bought it. But I did buy a beak for some reason, and I was wearing it when I caught up with Kim. I hope she wasn’t trying to sign Big Top up for the circus!

Kim chats with Big Top.Kim and I sat on my metal bench for a moment.

Kim and me sitting on the bench.Despite my shirt being nice and fresh, I must have still been a little smelly, because she stood up pretty quickly. We also blew our tweeters at each other.

Blowing tweeters. After Kim stopped at Re-Tail, she had to go, so I ended the session. I then went up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town. Luna told me that Juliette from Lavander was my most recent dream visitor.

I then headed over to the museum to arrange my sci-fi furniture for a picture. That’s right, the giveaway starts tonight!

Tulip Topiary

Rolf sent me a letter in the mail, telling me he’s feeling better now. He also sent me a camel shirt attached the letter. But Hump Day isn’t until tomorrow…

I decided to change up my paths a bit today. I experimented with some different colors for the bricks, and I went with this black/blue look for now:

My blue/black brick path.A tent was set up at the campsite today, and Naomi was inside. She looked slightly…evil.

Naomi: I'm just in town camping for a bit. I needed a little break from my hometown.I headed over to my park to check out the tulip topiary that just got put in. I think it looks nice, although it would look better if I organized the flowers around it. They’re all just random flowers in this part of town for now.

My tulip topiary at my park.I then talked to Isabelle to begin the completion ceremony. Almost everyone came over to the left side; I think Nan must’ve been a bit gassy today.

Isabelle: Welcome to the grand completion ceremony for Forest's vital tulip topiary project! In case anyone is wondering, I am not planning on putting in a square topiary.

At the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Joe from the town of “?” was my most recent dream visitor.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Joe from ? enjoyed your dream. And while I was looking through my catalog, I had to laugh when I saw the Taurus bathtub (Japanese DLC). This is one of the items that Leo let me catalog yesterday.

Taurus bathtub: 4,800 bells. And up at the Happy Homes Showcase, I noticed Ian was there once again. He gave me another ice cream cone; this time it’s vanilla ice cream.

Ian and ice cream.
