Gala Moves In

Last night, Kidd suggested a new public works project: a moai statue (also known as an Easter Island head).

Kidd: And it's free of charge! Yeah, what we definitely need around here is a moai statue.Even though moai statues are pretty cool, the frontal view of them (in New Leaf at least) isn’t the best angle. And since we can’t rotate PWPs, I don’t think I’ll be putting this in my town.

Moai statue: 538,000 bells.I went over to Jessica’s town to drop off a couple of saplings I had for her. But when I first arrived, I only saw this penguin and no human…so I assumed the penguin was her.

Jeff, to penguin: Hi Jessica. Her town is looking really nice. And yes, she is using my ice brick path pattern.

Ice bricks in Jessica's town. She had seen what I wrote about Gala yesterday, so she told me to invite her to the roast! 😀

Jessica: BTW, invite me for the roast! We went out to the island and did a couple of tours, and I kicked her butt! 😛

Tortimer: Jeff gets 5 medals, and Jessica gets 1 medal! But she quickly kicked me out of her town because she was tired of losing her battery was dying.

Then today, I see that cherry blossom petals are falling from the sky.

Cherry blossom petals falling near my lighthouse. And Aurora tried to tell me that she was moving out of town on April 11th, which is this Friday. Disney Magical World comes out on Friday, so maybe she wants to move to Castleton? Too bad! She’s staying  in Forest whether she likes it or not. And she does. 😀

Aurora: Well, that really resonated with me. So I've decided to move on the 11th of this month.Up on Main Street, Luna told me Ryan from Ryanland was my most recent dream visitor. And when Rolf asked me for furniture, I gave him a red-tasseled lantern.

Rolf: Oh! A red-tasseled lantern! To thank me, he gave me his picture again.

And last but not least, I went to meet my newest neighbor: Gala the pig. She moved here from Hyrule, which is Georgie’s town!

Gala: Oh, do you live around here? I'm Gala, and I'm new to town. I used to live in Hyrule. If I’m not mistaken, I once got Curly (another pig) in ACCF from Georgie too! She must save all of her leftover pork for me!

Plot Twist

This morning, Joan was selling turnips for 110 bells each. That’s a little high, but I still bought 1,000 of them.

Joan: So 1,000 turnips comes out to be 110,000 bells altogether. Do you wanna buy them?Playing with a bunch of people on Wi-Fi yesterday seems to have come back to haunt me. I saw a new house plot, and that means one of my visitors yesterday must have given me one of their rejects.

Did I want a new house plot?
Oh no no, I sure did not!

Turns out it’s Gala the pig! I don’t want her in my town, especially taking up my 10th spot! I’m the mayor here, and I’ll make sure she ends up like this! How would that be for a plot twist?

The spot reserved for Gala's new home. -Nook's HomesGala is moving in almost exactly in the same spot that Teddy moved out of recently. It’s only one space to the left; you can still see the dirt patch that Teddy’s house left behind.

In the northern section of town, I spotted something curious: A new, small pink tree! I didn’t plant it, so it must have been one of my visitors yesterday! I’m guessing it was Rodney, but I’m not 100% sure. I’m not mad about it or anything, but still, I’d rather people ask before they do something like planting a tree in my town.

A new baby pink tree. There was a tent over at the campsite today. “Great,” I thought. Just as I got a new villager forced on me, so I don’t have a free spot to ask them in. But the good news is that the animal inside isn’t one I would have wanted anyway: Deli the monkey. He wanted to play a game to determine how much he would pay for my Manneken Pis. I agreed to play, and he said I had to guess what he wanted to eat. He told me the color of the fruit is not red. Duh. It’s obviously got to be a banana! He gave me the options, and banana was my choice.

Deli: Whoa! Nice guess! That's exactly what I want to eat! Can't believe you got it in 1 try!Naturally, it was correct, and he paid me 6,206 bells for my peeing statue.

Deli: OK then! As promised, I'll give you 6,206 bells for your Manneken Pis!When I left the tent, I soon figured out that I was having a bad luck day.

Falling on my face on the beach.I kept falling on my face. Ugh.

Getting a face full of sand.I took the boat out to the island, and Kapp’n was tooting his own horn.

I've a nice face, it be true, chiseled abs, and fancy hair. The gift shop there didn’t have anything I wanted, so I quickly returned to the mainland. I made a new pattern that fans of “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared” may recognize. This may refresh your memory: “I might paint a picture of a clown.” “Whoa there, friend, you might need to slow down.”

Jeff’s Delivery Service

Today, I went to Santo’s town Zomga to take him an aurora screen.

Jeff and Santo. While I was there, he let me check his turnip prices. His Re-Tail was buying turnips for 107 bells. That was much better than the 44 bells my Re-Tail was paying, so I sold all I had. After that, he let me check out his house. I wanted to eat it.

Santo's gingerbread house. His house is still small, but I like it.

Santo and me on the couch.I then returned to Forest, where Luna told me Aiden from Rome was my most recent dream visitor. A bit later, Twilight wanted to test her connection. So I opened my gate and she was able to visit without any trouble. That’s always a good thing.

Twilight: Hiya.Later tonight, I went up to Club LOL to watch K.K.’s performance; he played K.K. Mambo for me.

Wendy asked if she could come over to sell her perfect cherries. It was her lucky day, because we found out that perfect cherries were Re-Tail’s bonus item for the day. Rodney also came over, and he gave me a hibiscus–not the bush, but the furniture item. It’s an item given out in the Korean version of the game.

Jeff, Wendy, and Rodney.Tiffiny also came over to pick up some items I had for her. I asked if everyone wanted to go out to the island, but Wendy’s battery light was flashing, so she had to leave to charge her 3DS. The rest of us went out to the island and did some tours. The first one was an official balloon-popping tour.

Tortimer: Whoa! You must really hate balloons! Please accept this Gold Tortimer award and 8 medals!Rodney then picked a diving tour. We all made our first catch at the same time:

You found a snow crab! It's worth...4,000 bells! And we finished up with a fishing tour. We then returned to shore and I ended the session. I went to my house to take a look at the hibiscus, but as I was moving it, Agent S barged in.

Agent S: Squirrel-friend! I am, like, SOOO glad you're here! It's good to see you, J bear.I just sat on the sofa until she left. The animals have bad timing sometimes. Can you imagine this happening in real life? I wanted to talk to the mayor, so I just went in his house.

Anyway, here’s a better look at the hibiscus. Thanks, Rodney!

The hibiscus item.My day wasn’t done yet, however. I had a hair-bow wig for Georgie, so she opened up her gate for me.

Visiting Georgie. She tried it on, while I freaked her out by eating a famous mushroom I found in my town the other day.

Me turning into a giant. She apparently hadn’t eaten one before, because she was quite surprised at the result. It’s always fun using them when people aren’t expecting it. 😀

After that, I returned home for the night. My train station sure got a lot of use today; I almost felt like I was running a delivery service. 😛 I still have a sapling I’m waiting to give to Jessica, but I’m glad I cleared out most the items I had lying around for people. I’m hoping for a calmer, less busy day tomorrow. 😀
