On the Ground and In the Air

Today, Kidd sent me a letter talking about how he’s lonely and has a broken heart. You’re telling me this why??

Dear Jeff, My love was so pure, but now it's over before it ever had a chance to really begin. -The lonely KiddI checked one of my existing snowmen, and he rolled a #36 for me. That gave a bingo!

Snowman: BINGOOOOO!My prize was this curling stone:

My new curling stone. How exciting.Since it was snowing, I decided to make a snowmam today; I wanted to trade in the snowflakes that I caught. It wasn’t a perfect snowmam though, so she required five snowflakes instead of three.

Snowmam: If you bring me 5, I will give you something very nice.As I ran around town, I kept falling on my face. It was very annoying.

Falling in the plaza.Falling on my ice brick path.So I went up to Katrina’s shop to get my fortune read.

Katrina: Even as a grown-up, if she never learns to read a map... she will continue to get lost...After talking about Katie, she told me I needed a unisex accessory. I tried putting on my Majora’s Mask, but it didn’t help.

Falling on my face once again.Anyway, I decided to play around with the net glitch some more. I used it to get on top of Re-Tail…

Standing on top of Re-Tail.…and the police station.

Standing on the police station.Later on, Patty invited me over to her town Columbus. The main room of her house has the ice set, just like mine. We watched a little TV.

Watching TV with Patty. Her path is made of gold bricks from Super Mario Bros. 3! Pretty cool. In SMB3, always loved the World 7 Fortress 1 level. It has a huge room full of those bricks…which can turn into a ton of coins if you find the hidden P-switch!

Gold brick paths from Super Mario Bros. 3 (SMB3).We went out to the island and did a few tours, including the Easy Labyrinth Tour. I’m glad she chose the easy one, because I have trouble completing the regular one, let alone the “master” one.

Tortimer: For your INCREDIBLE performance, you've earned a Gold Tortimer award and 6 medals! We also caught some bugs and fish before returning to the mainland (and I went home soon after that). Back in my town, one of my villagers mentioned a guy on the beach. I’m glad they did, because I forgot to check down there today! Gulliver was there, and he is headed off to India. I’ll get a present from him in the mail tomorrow.

Gulliver: ...Are you trying to curry favor with me? Well, you have! India! That's the right answer!

The Blue Boy

This morning, I tracked down Joan to buy some turnips. She was selling them for 92 bells apiece, so I bought 1,200 of them.

Joan: So 1,200 turnips comes out to be 110,400 bells altogether. Do you wanna buy them?I met up with Molly later on, and she offered to trade robo furniture with me. Sure, why not?

Molly: So would you consider trading your robo clock for my robo-lamp?When I worked at the cafe, I saw a new animal come in for coffee: Cherry the dog. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her before, even in pictures online!

Cherry: Coffee please! Make it a mocha!Afterwards, I built a new snowman and he gave me a new number. I ended up with a triple ding; that means I’m one number away from a bingo in three separate ways. It’s even more rare than an actual bingo, so my bingo card is starting to resemble swiss cheese.

Snowman: TRIPLE DING!I bumped into Kidd, and–just like this past Friday–he offered me a painting for exactly 7,056 bells. But this time, it was a basic painting instead of a nice painting. I still don’t have a basic painting in the museum, so it was an easy decision to buy this one too.

Kidd: I felt much better about parting with my basic painting knowing that YOU bought it.Right behind Kidd was Tammy, who was fishing. I spoke with her and she talked about how funny it would be if a fish cast a line up on land, with a piece of pizza on it. That would be hard to resist.

Tammy: Wouldn't it be funny if a fish cast a line with pizza on it up here onto the shore? GameCub!I found a lost item on the ground, so I began asking my villagers if it belonged to them. I eventually found the item’s owner when I went in Tia’s house (which is looking really nice, by the way). She rewarded me with a red tie-dye tee.

Tia: Thank you so much for returning it!I then headed up to the museum. First, I put my fishing trophy from yesterday in my trophy room.

My trophy room. And then I donated the basic painting; it was a real painting once again! Kidd rocks!

The Blue Boy“The Blue Boy.” He later grew up to found the Blue Man Group.

Big Top invited me over to his house, and I had to pick a time. I really hate these planned visits, but I’m desperate for Big Top’s picture, so I don’t want to refuse him. I met him at 3:30, and he offered to sell me an item from his house. So I asked about the coelacanth sitting by the window.

Big Top: HUH?! I didn't think you'd want my coelacanth. Sorry, but no sale. It's like a brother to me.He didn’t want to sell it because it’s like a brother to him. Okay, fine, fair enough. But then he told me I should catch my own!

Big Top: You should go catch your own, J-bot!Excuse me? I am the one who caught that coelacanth in the first place, buddy!

But interestingly, Big Top said the same thing about his stringfish and even his sea bass!

Big Top: HUH?! I didn't think you'd want my sea bass. Sorry, but no sale! It's like a brother to me!He must have a lot of brothers.

When I went up to the second floor of the Emporium, I briefly mistook Harry and Timmy for a father and son.

Harry and Timmy in the Emporium. After I was done shopping, I decided to go around town taking some pictures.

My southwest park.Since it was a nice, mostly sunny day, I thought it would be a good time to take a bunch of wintertime pictures for my town page. So check that out if you’d like to see how Forest is looking these days.

January Fishing Tournament

Tom allowed me to visit his town to grab a bingo number today, and while I was there, I did some glitching. I first went onto the tracks and then glitched down below.

Glitching off the bridge.Once I got down to the “void,” I was able to walk under the ocean. Tom was swimming there, and I could see his bubbles and ripples.

Seeing Tom's bubbles in the void.He told me to come up on the sand, and he dug holes for me to fall in. After being “pitfall’d” basically, I was then up on solid land again. To him, I appeared out of nowhere as coming up through the hole. He said he got to witness my birth, much like I witnessed his in August when our roles were reversed.

Tom41: Now I saw your birth lol. After that, he ended the party and I returned to Forest. I got a letter from Gulliver in Denmark; he sent me this mermaid statue.

My mermaid statue next to the Statue of Liberty. When I spoke with Big Top, he told me about his bedtime routine. It had me rolling.

Big Top: Every night before I sleep, I just roll and roll and roll and roll...The fishing tournament was held today, so Chip was over at the event plaza asking for horse mackerels. I gave him my 18.75 inch fish and he was impressed.

Chip: Man, that's a big fish all right! He rewarded me with this octopus chair.

My new octopus chair. After 6:00, I returned to the event plaza and Chip tried to kidnap me told me go inside his tent.

Chip: It's time for the awards ceremony! Can you go inside the tent and wait, please?I won the tournament, so I got this gold fish trophy. Tia got second place and Aurora got third.

Holding up my new trophy.Afterwards, my villagers congratulated me on the win.

Kidd: It's amazing how good you did in the Fishing Tourney today! I'm still a bit in awe!And later on, I went up to Club LOL to see K.K. perform. I recently heard a new (secret) song in a StreetPass house called K.K. Stroll, so I requested it tonight.

K.K.: K.K. Stroll's a secret song...When I returned from Main Street, some animals were mentioning Phineas. So I went looking around for him. Once I found him, he gave me the K.K. Slider Fanboy badge.

Phineas: Finding a musician you can create an attachment with is a truly magic thing.I got the K.K. Slider Fanboy badge! I guess you could say I'm a regular at the club?
