Tabby’s Last Day in Town

Last night, Hazael from Shiro stopped over to sell some turnips while I had the good sale price.

Hazael sells turnips to Reese. Then today, Tammy sent me a very urgent letter. It’s a matter of L and D!

Yo! Jeff! There was a life-and-death matter I needed to write you about, but...I forgot what it was! -TammyAnd today was Tabby’s last day in town! πŸ˜€ How sad! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ She was telling me to try to enjoy life in Forest without her! Ha! πŸ˜€

Tabby: Promise me you'll try to enjoy life in Forest without me. I had to do a little happy dance. β™ͺ Ding dong, the witch is dead. β™ͺ

Dancing to celebrate Tabby's departure.I tried building a snowboy, but I didn’t make him right. So he won’t be sending me any snowman furniture.

Snowboy: This head should be a little better matched to this body...Tom invited me over to his town to get his bingo numbers for the day, so I headed off to Tomville. While I was there, Tom told me that Re-Tail’s item of the day was perfect peaches!

Sign: Perfect peachI happened to have 7 bunches of perfect peaches (63 peaches total) in storage! So I got them out of the lockers at the train station and sold them all for 378,000 bells!

Reese: Since I'm paying premium for all of these items today...the total is an amazing 378,000 bells! OK?Between the turnips yesterday and the perfect peaches today, I’ve had quite a lucrative week!

When I returned to Forest, Luna told me that Michael from Miami was my most recent dream visitor.

And even though I don’t like Tabby, I was trying to be nice and find her a new home. But I was unable to connect to Abigail after about 45 minutes of fiddling with router settings. The next person on my list already got a different Tabby yesterday. I then posted on the friend exchange page, but I was unable to connect to the first person who wanted her. Someone else showed interest initially, but then stopped responding. Oh well, maybe some “lucky” StreetPass victim will get her!

Turnip Jackpot

Late last night, I was on a Club Tortimer island and I ran across someone who was familiar with this site. He said he has used it to find goodΒ dream addressesΒ to visit. I asked if he wanted to be in the blog, and he said yes, so I took a picture with Ezra from Brinstar.

Ezra and Jeff. Then today, I went to the island again and I caught my first birdwing butterfly!

I caught a birdwing butterfly! Wow! It's about the size of a bird!I compared my New Leaf bug encyclopedia to my one in City Folk, and it seems the other bug I need is a pondskater. But since the island has no ponds, I’ll have to wait until summer to complete my bug collection. But for now, I donated the birdwing to the museum and then went to Re-Tail to check my turnip prices. I was quite surprised to see this:

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 504 bells.504 bells for turnips! Yessss! I sold all 1,000 of my turnips and scored half a million bells! Sweet!

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 504,000 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Back outside, I saw Aurora on my metal bench and I stopped to take a quick break.

Sitting on the bench with Aurora.Soon after that, I saw Phineas! He gave me the Amateur Turnip Trader badge!

I got the Amateur Turnip Trader badge! This shows that I've been actually buying and selling turnips! So here is a current look at my badges:

My badge collection as of January 15, 2014.Everything seemed to be going great today. But my good luck wasn’t over yet. I went up to my snowman and rolled his eyes. The result was #19, which gave me a bingo!

Snowman: BINGOOOOO!As a reward, he gave me this slalom gate.

My slalom gate. And if that wasn’t enough, Teddy suggested a new public works project! It’s just for an instrument shelter, though.

Teddy: For the next town project, let's fund an instrument shelter.I have no plans of putting it in my town, but I’m still happy to have it added to my list of available projects.

Instrument shelter: 42,000 bells.Of course, I had a new villager in town today too. I went in to meet Tia the elephant.

Tia: Oh, do you live around here? I'm Tia, and I'm new to town. I used to live in Theoria. If she wasn’t so heavy, I’d be tempted to tip her over and pour her out. She came from Theoria, and I have no idea where that is. I’m guessing it must be from a StreetPass. At least she’s better than my last StreetPass villager (Tammy).

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Justin from Highwind was my most recent dream visitor. And when I went in the Emporium, Aurora got up in my face! You want to fight?

Tommy: Welcome! Welcome! Come on in!This evening, Molly asked me for some furniture to replace her TV. I tried giving her different things, but apparently it needed to be furniture that can be placed on something else. I didn’t have anything that fit that description, so I caught a fish for her. She liked it enough to give me her picture again. Big Top, take note of this please.

Molly: Here's my Molly's pic? Thank you so much for helping me!And last but not least, one other good thing is knowing that tomorrow will be Tabby’s last day in town! She came into the cafe for coffee today, and I purposely made her coffee wrong. She said “BLECHHH!,” but I accidentally pressed the A button too fast and didn’t take a picture in time. But I made sure her last cup of coffee was a bad one.

All Snowtyke Items

I got a letter from the snowtyke in the mail today, and he sent me a small igloo. (This item was called an igloo model on GameCube). I now have all four of the snowtyke items, which are shown in this picture. You can see a little campfire inside of the igloo, which is a nice touch. And yet the outside of the igloo isn’t very detailed at all, unfortunately.

The small igloo model. For the first time since October, a new animal is moving in! Since Tabby isn’t gone yet, I’ll be back up to ten villagers. But the new villager will be Tia the elephant, whose head looks like a tea pot. Interestingly, she’s moving in near Big Top’s house. Is there going to be some steamy elephant romance brewing? Or will Big Top just get himself into hot water? We’ll see!

This spot reserved for Tia's new home. -Nook's HomesAt Re-Tail, Reese informed me that the gallant statue I got from Crazy Redd was a fake.

Reese: Oh no! If you look very closely at it, you can see it's a fake!I built a new bingo snowman today, and he rolled a 32. I marked it off my bingo card, and I’m now one number away from a bingo. I tried to let Tom in my town to get #32 for himself, but after it didn’t work, he had to go before I could try making any changes to my router settings. I usually have to try a few different settings before it will let him in, and it’s not the same settings each time.

Anyway, while I was in the train station, I tried to take a picture that made it look like I only had one leg. And that’s why you don’t lay on the tracks.

One-legged Jeff has one leg.At the Dream Suite, Luna informed me that Jennifer from Winnifer was my most recent dream visitor. Interesting town name, Jennifer…

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Jennifer from Winnifer enjoyed your dream.Big Top asked me for some furniture, but I didn’t have any customized furniture to give him today. So I just bought a wet-road sign from the Emporium and gave him that. Surprisingly, he seemed to enjoy it. But not enough to give me his picture, of course.

Big Top: Nice! I had my eye on a wet-road sign just like this one. That basically wrapped up my day in Forest. I’ll be back with another update tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!
