I was surprised to see Pete at my door when I started up the game today.
He gave me a new DLC item called a kadomatsu. Here’s a picture of it next to a snowman dresser that I also received in the mail today.
Right after taking that picture, Tabby (why her?) called out to me. Ugh. When I entered my main room, she barged in, saying nobody makes an entrance like her.
Once she left, I saw that there was an igloo over at the campsite. Velma was camping inside, but I saw no sign of Scooby-Doo.
Crazy Redd’s tent was set up over by the event plaza, so I went inside and took a look. Two of the items he had were ones I already had in my museum, and another I knew was a fake. So I bought the only thing left, which was this basic painting.
Over by town hall, I saw a new purple rose; I believe it’s my first one.
And since today was the third straight day of snow, I got tired of seeing all these snowflakes fly by and not being able to catch them without filling up my pockets.
So I decided to make a snowmam, even though I already have the ice set. It’ll be an easy way to earn some extra money, since the ice furniture sells for 8,888 bells apiece. The idea became even better when I pushed the snowballs together and found out that she was a perfect snowmam. That means I’ll get 8,888 bells for every three snowflakes I catch! Good deal!
When I went up to Main Street, I saw that Anya from the town of Heart was my most recent dream visitor. And I realized that all of the Christmas season went by without the Emporium ever carrying the large festive tree. Oh well, maybe I’ll get one next year.

I rolled up today’s snowballs and I finally built a perfect snowboy.
The snowboy is essentially the snowman you know from earlier Animal Crossing games. Build him perfectly and he’ll send you a piece of snowman furniture in the mail the next day. So I’m looking forward to getting that from him tomorrow.
After Kidd gave me a free hi-fi stereo as a gift, he asked to visit my house. So I told him to come over at 6:30. I actually remembered to be home when the time came, so he checked out all my rooms.
After that, Tom41 came over for a short visit. However, he claimed that he was the real Santa when I’m clearly the real one.
He talked to my snowmen, and my #22 gave him a bingo! Congrats, 
One of my villagers gave me a lovely chair, and I had it customized to be pink and black. Definitely an improvement. I like to keep a piece of customized furniture in my pockets in case any of my villagers asks for furniture.
And later on, Hannah came over to visit. Hannah has been on my City Folk roster for years, and when Bob first moved into my ACCF town, he came from Hannah’s town. But today was her first visit to my New Leaf town.
She checked out my house and explored my town, and she seemed to like it. Even though it’s Christmas, I still gave her a traditional Forest greeting, courtesy of my toy hammer.

Jingle doesn’t appear until 6:00 p.m., so you can’t deliver the presents until he arrives. So I decided to find my snowballs and try to build a snowboy. I built one, but it wasn’t well-balanced. So the little guy is useless to me.
I then went up to Main Street for my shopping run. I found out that Paige from Moontown was my most recent dream visitor. And I saw that Able Sisters and Kicks carry the full Santa suit today. So if you didn’t buy them ahead of time, it’s no problem.
Back in town, I talked to Tabby and she seemed as clueless as ever. She was having a brain-freeze.
After 6:00, Jingle showed up and introduced himself.
He also listed the things he loves about this time of the year.
Mushrooms? (He meant marshmallows). Since I was dressed up as Santa, he asked me to help him deliver presents. And by “help,” he meant for me to do all the work while he does nothing. So he gave me the Santa bag to carry.
It contained everyone’s presents; you can check it in your inventory to see which items are inside. Hopefully you took notes of what your villagers wanted for Toy Day, because you definitely need them now.
My list of clues wasn’t complete, however. Apparently each villager can give you two clues–but I only had both clues for Teddy, Big Top, and Kidd. For most of my other villagers, I only had one clue. But that was usually enough. For example, Benedict asked for a doll and the only doll-like item in the bag was a Papa panda.
Molly asked for plants, and there was only one plant in Santa’s bag. So clearly, she gets the jasmine bonsai. But she had some nerve calling me short! Look who’s talking!
Skye asked for something white, and there was only one white item to give away. So the cream sofa went to her. I think she suspected something though, because she said I reminded her of her friend Jeff.
Using the process of elimination, I also correctly delivered a small spotlight to Aurora, a gelato umbrella to Rolf, a lemon table to Kidd, and a purple tie-dye tee to Teddy.
Fail. She was disappointed with the gift, and Tammy was equally disappointed with the retro fridge. I’ve made a huge mistake. I then made the long walk of shame back to Jingle. I told him I was done and he mocked me. Despite the fact that he did nothing to help except hand me a bag.
He did give me a festive wreath however, so I put it in my house.
I’ve noticed that the holidays in New Leaf seem to be designed with just one player in mind. They’re not well suited to Wi-Fi online gameplay. By contrast, City Folk’s holidays worked better with multiple players. In ACCF, you could all work together to search for Jingle, and then everyone could get furniture from him.
