Kidd was quick to point out that tomorrow is Christmas Eve!
Saharah was in town tonight, so I paid her for new wallpaper and carpet. She installed a blue-trim wall and an autumn floor. They look nice separately, but not together.
Molly told me that she was going to move out of town on the 28th. Oh no, you’re not.
I went up to Main Street, and Luna told me that Tienna from Ttown was my most recent dream visitor. And in the Emporium, Tommy made a surprising confession!
After my shopping run was over, I returned to town to look for snowballs. I made a bingo snowman and got a new bingo card.
My snowmam was on her last legs…err….neck? So I definitely wanted to do some snowflake-searching. I only needed one more ice item, so that meant I only needed five snowflakes. As I searched, Aurora told me that I can achieve lasting happiness if I read a book called Girls’ Guide to Power Tools. WHAT?!
After a trip or two around town, I caught all the snowflakes I needed for a new piece of ice furniture. I took them all to Snowmam and she gave me an ice vanity.
That was the last piece I needed! So my ice furniture set is now complete! (Although not all of the items are shown in this picture).
As you may know, Miiverse lets you take screenshots of many 3DS games. Even though Animal Crossing: New Leaf already lets you take pictures, the Miiverse method lets you take screenshots of things you can’t normally take pictures of. For example, the touch screen, the title screen, and Isabelle’s opening remarks when you first start up the game. For more details on how it works and how to get the Miiverse pictures to your computer, check out this guide: How to Take and Save 3DS Screenshots.
I’ll be back with another New Leaf blog entry tomorrow, covering the Christmas Eve / Toy Day event. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Benedict asked me for an orange, so I gave him a perfect orange. He loved it and said a fantastic piece of fruit deserves a fantastic reward. But then he gave me a shanty rug? That’s supposed to be fantastic? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
And for the second time this winter, there was an igloo at the campsite. Hamlet the hamster was inside. I might have invited him to live in my town, if only my town wasn’t full. I haven’t had an open spot since before Halloween, and it’s getting quite annoying.
I found the money rock over by my snowmen. I only had to dig one hole because Snowmam had my back.
I built another bingo snowman, and it gave me the number I needed! BINGOOOOO!
Of course I had to punch out practically every number on the card to do it, but better late than never.
The snowman gave me a snowboard as my reward. You can see it here on the left, next to my ski rack from last time.
While walking around town, Molly noticed I had an owl clock in my pockets. She offered me some money for it, so I happily sold it to her.
Chris came over again to get a bingo number. It appears the snowmen have brought him out of hibernation; I rarely saw him online before the snow came.
After he left, Kidd suggested a new public works project: A sphinx!
I definitely want to put the sphinx in my town, although I’m not looking to install it immediately. It’ll fit in nicely near my pyramid. Maybe I could even make a sand pattern to turn that area into a mini-Egypt.
Kidd told me Tammy was sick, so I went to the store to get some medicine for her. But as soon as I got in her house, she was telling me to hurry up with the medicine. How rude! I didn’t have to buy her medicine at all!
I still gave it to her this time though, so I could take an embarrassing photo of her.
I got a letter from Gulliver in the mail, and he sent me a gift from Mexico. He said it was a creepy doll called a calavera, but the item itself was just called a skeleton figurine. I put it in my World Wonders museum exhibit.
Isabelle was at the event plaza talking about the winter solstice and how cold she felt.
She also gave me a blue glow wand to mark the occasion (and to help me see as I walked around town).
The bulletin board announced that Timmy and Tommy had a queen for sale! What? How? Why? …How much?
I built a new bingo snowman, and I got new bingo numbers from it and my other bingo snowman. I needed both numbers…yet I still didn’t get a bingo! That’s a total of 18 numbers marked off, too! There’s no doubt anymore: These snowmen are clearly trolling me!
I then went up to the Dream Suite to revisit StarmanPhantom’s
Chris came over to collect signatures for a petition, and we stopped for a picture at the winter solstice face-standee cutout.
But he needed six signatures, and we could only find five of my ten villagers in town! I eventually found Big Top hiding in the fossil room at the museum.
Chris was done with his petition, so I ended the party. Before I quit for the night, I remembered to go up to Club LOL to get a song from K.K. He performed Mountain Song for me. I was thinking I already that song, but apparently I didn’t.
