Snow now covers the ground in Animal Crossing: New Leaf! But before I fully explored my snow-covered town, I ran into Katie. She wanted me to take her to a new town.
Around that time, I saw that Tiffiny was opening the gate to her town Auctus. So I took Katie there.
I also met Tom and Spooker there. I saw that the flower clock looks really nice with the snow on it.
Tiffiny and I exchanged perfect fruit before, so I again offered her a basket of perfect peaches. She gave me a basket of perfect pears, which I will use to feed my villagers when they ask for fruit. While there, I visited her Re-Tail to sell my remaining baskets of perfect peaches that I’ve been accumulating for a while. They earned me 162,000 bells! Peachy.
Her town was really beautiful. I joked that even Re-Tail looked luxurious, with all the rococo furniture in there. She even has sign boards of her villagers, which was a really nice touch.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a dream address because she considers her town a work in progress still. If she does eventually make a dream available, I may add it as an entry to my Dream Suite Adventures page.
After my short visit was over, I returned to Forest and deposited my money into the bank. My balance topped three million bells for the first time.
I temporarily ended my game, but I picked it back up later on. As I made my way around town, I saw that snow made some public works projects look quite different. For a moment, I thought my zen garden had Christmas trees in it!
My pyramid had also accumulated some snow on it.
Crazy Redd had a tent up, and I was only able to eliminate one of his items. So I chose one of the three paintings I needed, a dynamic painting. I’ll find out tomorrow if it’s real or not.
I made my way up to Main Street, and Luna told me that Adam from the town of Popcorn was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting, Adam!
And in T&T Emporium, I bought my fertilizer (as I do each day), and Leif thanked me for picking up more than my share of fertilizer from him. He probably could have worded that sentence better, because I imagined a dog owner cleaning up after his dog.
But he rewarded me for buying 50 bags of fertilizer by giving me a golden shovel! Leif tells me it makes the fertilizer extra potent. I think he just means it has a stronger manure smell.
On the second floor, Timmy was selling a festive tree for the first time. I bought it for my house, although I’d prefer a large one.
Kicks had some Santa boots for sale, so I snatched them up and put them on. Now that I have them, I can go back to ignoring his store again.
Back in town, Benedict was talking about how hearing jingling bells puts you in the Christmas spirit.
He then joked that just repeating the word “jingle” isn’t quite the same as hearing actual bells. Good point, rooster.
I spoke with Rolf, and he suggested a zen clock as a public works project. Sorry I forgot to get a picture of it, but I’ll try to add that tomorrow.
I had some trouble finding my snowballs today, but once I did, I was able to sneak up behind one and grab a dung beetle! I now only need two more insects.
And once I was able to round up two snowballs together, I made myself a snowman. It turned out perfect, so the newly-formed snowman offered to let me play bingo!
He gave me a bingo card, filled with numbers, and then he rolled his eyes at me. Literally! His eyes have numbers on them, and he rolled an 11.
My bingo card had an 11 on it, so I was able to punch that number off. I was also able to punch out the center–that was a freebie. You can get special items by making a bingo (five numbers in a row on your card). He encouraged me to visit other towns, as friends’ bingo snowmen can mark off numbers for me too. Sounds like a plan!
After that, I decided to change my brick path. Here is a picture of my new path, along with my illuminated tree, metal bench, and fountain.
I have also added that picture to my town page. If you’d like the brick path, it’s available on the QR Codes page.
And just for fun, here’s a picture of Rolf and I sitting on my bench.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t an igloo in my town today. But on the bright side, there’s still more new winter fun to come! Enjoy the snow, everyone!
Katrina had her tent set up near the town tree, so I paid her to tell my fortune. She told me to wear women’s bottoms. No thanks.
After making my rounds, I went up to Main Street to identify a fossil and do some shopping. The Able Sisters had a Santa beard for sale, so I tried it on and bought it.
When I returned to town, Aurora told me she keeps having a dream about a raptor torso. I’m not sure I want to know what she does with the raptor torso, but I sold her mine for 3,000 bells.
To get away from the cold, I took some trips out to the island. I first went to my own island, and then visited some other islands using my Club Tortimer membership. This blue wet suit caught my eye, and I decided to buy it.
I was on an island with Tania from Megaton…but Tania didn’t seem to be around. She never responded when I said hello. And she just stood there the whole time.
So I decided to try another Club Tortimer island instead. This time I was paired up with someone named Eight from the town of Hikone.
But this island had no trees! Eight said that someone who was there earlier cut them all down. There were a few stumps, however…and that turned out to be a good thing for me. I caught a longhorn beetle on a stump, and it was my first one! So I actually needed it anyway.
Before I left the island, I stopped to take a picture of the sky. It was an unusual orangish color I don’t recall seeing before. I’m guessing it may have been morning on the island.
I then left the tropical island behind and returned to cold, snowy Forest. At least my Christmas tree looks nice in the snow.
I went over to Kidd’s house, and he told me it was too late for his petition. That’s okay, because I never got the signatures anyway. But then he started telling me that he saw Teddy and Tabby spending time together!
He said they were drinking ginger ale together and their friendship must be in good shape.
Later on, Skye (the human) told me that she had a red Pikmin I was looking for. She invited me over to come get it. Since she’s in Australia, it was already December 11th for her, which meant snow covered the ground in her town.
Her town is really coming along nicely.
I soon returned to Forest and put the red Pikmin on one of my mannequins.
That wrapped up my evening in New Leaf, but I’m looking forward to the snow on the ground tomorrow! What are you most looking forward to about winter?
I happily told her goodbye. But then something bad happened. She thought I was sad for some reason, and she instantly changed her mind! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
This is awful news. I’ve been trying to get rid of her, Tammy, or even Benedict (even though I like him, I already have his picture) and I finally had a chance to get rid of Tabby and she jerks me around like this! Not cool! Maybe our “friendship” rating is too high? I tried to correct that by pitfalling the lying witch.
Then I got my net out and started beating her with it. And that’s why you don’t not leave.
One of these days, I’m going to get a camper I like and I won’t have room for them. I’ve had ten residents since October, and I can’t get rid of any of the animals I dislike!
I bought it, but unfortunately you can’t use it as a weapon. I wouldn’t mind leaving a star-shaped imprint on Tabby’s forehead. And back, shoulders, legs, and tail.
Rolf was still sick, so I bought him medicine once again. He felt confident that he’ll be better by tomorrow morning.
And there was a message posted on the bulletin board telling about the upcoming snowstorm. It’s supposed to hit tomorrow, which means snow will cover the ground on Wednesday.
Luna told me that Molly from Kisle recently enjoyed my dream town–thanks, Molly! And Kidd asked me to collect signatures for Love-Thy-Hairstyle Day. And I’ve checked numerous times this evening, but there haven’t been any open gates all night. I’ll check again another couple times before I go to bed, and I’ll update tomorrow if anything works out.
