I got a letter in the mail from the post office today. They congratulated me on saving a million bells in my account, and they sent me this piggy bank.
On my way over to Re-Tail, I dug up a rare mushroom. It’s worth 16,000 bells!
I spoke with Molly and she told me she was going to move out on November 10th!
I quickly talked her out of it, because she’s not allowed to move out. Neither are Aurora, Big Top, or Rolf. The others, I may let them move out after they give me their pictures. But Tabby and Tammy are welcome to go at any time!
Anyway, I had my piggy bank customized with emeralds. I wanted to see how it looked.
It looks better from certain angles than others, and this picture doesn’t quite do it justice. It looks nicer in my sleek room, though.
I had a gem rock instead of a money rock today, and two of the gems were gold nuggets. I also had one in storage, so I took the three of them back to Re-Tail to be turned into furniture. Cyrus made me a golden dresser again.
I will share a trip I’ve been using for money lately. Other than the gold nuggets, which I save for furniture, I sell all my ore at the flea market part of Re-Tail. I sell them for 7,500 bells (same as my superb coffee beans) and the animals have no problem buying them at that price. It’s a lot better than selling them for the usual 2,000 bells apiece.
Benedict was still sick today, so once again, I bought him medicine. I took this picture as he flipped.
You may remember that I said once I saved a million bells and got my reward for it, I would put in a new public works project. I looked through my list tonight and decided to renovate town hall. Lloid was actually inside of town hall.
I went outside and took one last picture of my town hall as it currently exists.
After withdrawing around 400,000 bells from my bank account, I paid off the project immediately. I’ll have my new modern town hall tomorrow. Isabelle and Lloid went crazy with excitement. I had to fight back the tears. (Just kidding).
I’ll be back tomorrow with a look at my new town hall building. I hope to see you then. 🙂
I also had a drink from the fountain.
I saw two stumps by the bridge, and Tiffiny told me the animals will sometimes sit on them.
While I was there, I also met two other visitors, David and Krista (I hope I’m spelling that right). But after a little while, I returned to my town and ended my night.
His main room was futuristic and it looked pretty nice.
The upstairs was a rec room, and this skeleton figurine stood out. I don’t think I’ve seen it before.
Interestingly, those were the only two rooms in the house! It seems a bit odd for a SpotPass home to only have two rooms, but oh well.
It turns out he was sick with a fever. I made a mental note to buy him some medicine, but first I went to Kidd’s house. He asked me to catch him a football fish!
I haven’t even caught one of those for myself yet! But I continued my trek around town, stopping in the campsite to see today’s camper. It was Lobo the wolf.
Soon after that, I headed up to Main Street. Luna told me that Khori from K City was my most recent dream visitor, so hello to Khori if you’re reading this! In Nook Homes, Lyle told me that my house score was up to 137,467 HHA points. I’m getting close to my goal of 150,000.
Next door at the post office, I donated some bells and I reached one million bells in my bank account!
I bought Benedict’s medicine and delivered it to him.
Before I finished up, I was determined to catch two football fish: one for Kidd and one for the museum. While I was on the beach, I found a lost item. But the football fish were my top priority, and eventually, I caught them both.
I donated one and gave the other one to Kidd. He rewarded me with a pine chair. (I was hoping for his picture, naturally). Before long, I found out that the lost item belonged to Molly. She rewarded me with a blue flannel shirt…exactly like the one I was wearing.
That’s all for tonight, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow! In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this slideshow of New Leaf pictures taken in the month of October:
Outside, Molly gave me a quick survey from a magazine and said I needed a book called Good Turnip, Rotten Turnip to be happy. Amazon doesn’t seem to have this book in
Teddy was talking about how you can wear wet suits to swim in the ocean. He felt bad because none of the wet suits available would fit him.
He then asked if he could come over to my house later. We agreed to meet up at 5:00. When the time came, he came in…and called me Mom?? I’m not the momma!
The top Happy Homes Academy rewards are triggered once you hit 150,000 HHA points. And that’s a new goal of mine now. That’s why I made sure I had the full sleek set earlier. It’s also why I plan on keeping the full creepy and spooky sets in my house for a while longer, even though Halloween is over.
It should definitely jump by tomorrow now that I’ll have the full sleek set, but I don’t know how much. But Lyle continued on, giving me some tips and telling me what helps. Apparently the picture of Molly (and presumably the other villager pics as well) gives me some bonus points.
He did warn me that the bonus only applies as long as I remain friends with that animal. So apparently if I start ignoring someone (Tabby?), I will lose that bonus. He also informed me that hard-to-find items will score higher, as will refurbished furniture. Good to know.
