Late last night, I caught my first house centipede.
And as Wendy came over to shop, Harry stood on Timmy’s manhole cover.
So I bought the manhole cover from right under his feet. Somehow.
Then today, I went in to check on my newly expanded modern wood room. It looks much better now.
And I smashed my fake rock as Wendy looked on.
Over at the campsite, I had a camper for the second day in a row. Today, Anchovy was camping out. But I had a feeling he was going to order himself a pizza after I left his tent.
Back outside, Alli insulted my fashion sense! Yeah, maybe I don’t have any, but it’s still rude!
Big Top wanted some furniture. I had a crucian carp in my pockets, so I gave him that. He seemed to like his new friend, although he didn’t know where it would sleep.

Then tonight, I opened my gate at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest. Wendy and Dash came over to visit. Nobody was saying much, so I was just doing some fishing. And then I saw Dash, from across the river, dancing the Shrunk Funk Shuffle on the river bank. Weirdo. 😛
And after a while, I caught what I was looking for: a soft-shelled turtle! It’s my first one.
As soon I was typing out that I caught a turtle, Taylor came over. So we had a full house, and we headed off to the island. We started off with a butterfly-catching tour.
We also went on an item-matching tour.
Our third and final tour was called “Ancient-Fish Encoun-tour,” where we had to catch coelacanths and arapaimas. Overall, I did the worst at the tours. After we were done, we did some fishing and bug-catching on the island.
When we returned to Forest, I sold my catches and earned about 72,000 bells. Before too long, Dash and Taylor were leaving, so I just ended the party then.
Today was my 122nd day with Animal Crossing New Leaf, and my 122nd consecutive day with a blog entry. Eventually, on a day where not much happens, I may skip a day. 😛 But days-off will still be very rare, so keep checking back every day for the latest happenings in Forest. And have a great weekend, everyone!
Then tonight, I checked my mail and found that Gulliver sent me a pagoda from Japan. And here is a look at my new stainless mailbox:
It wasn’t long before Molly started asking me about my pagoda! She wanted to trade a daisy tee for it. No way!
There was a camper over at the campsite tonight…it was Dotty. Uhh, no thanks.
And soon, I made my way over to the new house in town. My new villager moved in today. Say hello to Canberra. ♪ Isn’t she lovely? ♪
I’ll have to introduce her to my hammer sometime soon. And I’ll give her some nice seeds, too. Pitfall seeds, that is. At any rate, I have updated
After that, I had enough money to pay off my debt to Tom Nook. So he will be expanding my right (modern wood) room tomorrow morning.
Copper told me that there was a storm brewing off the coast, which means Gulliver will be washed up on the shore. So I headed down to the beach and found the confused gull.
He told me he was headed to the land of ninjas and samurais. Clearly, he was headed to Japan.
And then I found a construction site where a new villager is moving in. It’s going to be Canberra’s house.
A quick Google search revealed that Canberra is a koala. And an ugly koala at that. Now just
And the Able Sisters had this spade shirt for sale. The spade itself is blue, so it still matches my cap and shorts, so I bought it as well.
In Labelle’s portion of the shop, there was a fencing mask for sale. I sprung for it, even though I don’t have immediate plans of using it. I could see it coming in handy during a Wi-Fi game, like if one person is the “killer” or if I want to hide my face because of a bee sting.
Molly wanted to visit my house, so we arranged a time. When the time came, I gave her a tour of all my rooms. She really liked my sleek bed.
And in my modern wood room, she was barely through the door when she smelled my pumpkin pie and commented on it.
My “fake rock” for the day gave me a gold nugget. I had two in storage already, so I took the three of them to Cyrus at Re-Tail. He turned them into a golden table.
And Alli suggested a new public works project (PWP) today. Unfortunately, it was just a streetlight.
It didn’t sound very exciting to begin with, but it looks even worse than I imagined.
And later, I remembered that I never showed a picture of the
That’s all for now, but I’ll be back with more tomorrow. And remember, August is winding down, so you only have a few days left to catch a lot of the summer bugs and fish. Good luck and happy hunting!
