Bell Pincher

Bones recently told me he was thinking of moving out of town on September 27th. I thought about it for a moment, but I ultimately told him to stay in Forest a while longer. I’d still like to get his picture if I can before letting him go.

Bones: Oh, skippy! Don't freak out, but I'm planning on moving away on the 27th of this month.

While visiting Lolly today, she asked me to buy her modern wood chest, and then her modern wood lamp, for well over 1,000 bells each. I bought them both, and then she had the nerve to call me a bell-pincher! I always buy her overpriced stuff I don’t need, yet I can’t seem to shake this label (which is arguably the only negative label they’ll give you).

Lolly: I hear you're a bit of a bell-pincher, Jeff.

Molly asked me to dig up the time capsule she had me bury for her a few weeks back.

Molly: Umm, do you remember that time capsule I had you bury? I think it'd be fun to open it now.

So I dug it up and took it back to her. There was a red flannel shirt inside, along with a letter about spilling food and getting stains out. She gave me a box sofa for my trouble.

My recent dream visitors have been Shelby from Forest, Mayounna from Amy Rose, Adam from Jesten, Raffaele from Marijoa, Bailey from Harding, Aldo from USA, and Blake from Peesvill. My villagers also mentioned dreaming of Rachel from Elizavil (Bones), Adam from New Wind (Lolly), and Jeffrey from Mars (Lolly). Thanks for stopping by!

Lolly: I had a very strange dream about someone called Jeffrey from Mars.

Lolly, Lolly, Lolly

Last Sunday night, it was raining hard in Forest…just as it was in my new City Folk town of Mushroom, and in real life as well. It felt like I couldn’t escape it! 😛

Lolly: This rain does NOT want to stop!

I found a lost item on the ground, and the search for its owner brought me back to Lolly. She gave me a big-dot tank to thank me for returning it.

Lolly: Oh! This IS mine! Great, now I can keep both hands warm.
This poor little kitten has lost her mitten.

On Tuesday, Lolly informed me that she has already read 20 books this fall!

Lolly: I'm what you'd call a voracious reader, bonbon. I've already consumed 20 books this fall!
She has an appetite for reading.

I’m not intentionally making this entire entry about Lolly, but that’s just the way it’s worked out! 😛 On Thursday, she asked me to bury a time capsule for her. I buried it in my usual spot for time capsules, even though it’s a long way from her house.

Lolly: Sorry to spring this on you, but would you be interested in burying my time capsule for me?

Today, the final Bug-Off of the year was held. I was trying to get one of the non-gold trophies, so I just caught one bug (a red dragonfly) and gave it to Nat. It scored 23 points, and I didn’t want to go any higher.

Nat: 23 points!

But when I attended the winners’ ceremony later on, I didn’t even make the podium! Vivian was the winner, Rolf got 2nd place, and Big Top finished 3rd. Oops.

Vivian celebrates a Bug-Off victory.
V is for victory. And Vivian.

My recent dream visitors have been Timor from Nauen, Teren from SmolTown, Lindsay from Hoopie, Jack from JDH, Julie from Narnia, Olive from Starhill, and Emma from Safavoir. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Late Night Lolly

Last Sunday night, I was happy (and relieved) to see my new villager Lolly out late at night. Unlike Bones, it seems that she stays up until midnight. That means I shouldn’t go long stretches without seeing her (hopefully).

Lolly: Hey, Jeff! The breeze feels nice tonight, doesn't it, bonbon.

Monday was Labor Day in America, but I played too late in the day to catch Isabelle at the event plaza. But the face-cutout standee was still there, so I stuck my face through it and played some tennis.

Jeff uses the Labor Day faceboard to play tennis.

On Wednesday, I took my pet Sphinx for a walk. He pooped in the yard, so I had to clean it up. 😛

Jeff cleans up after the Sphinx.

Last night, there was a meteor shower in the skies over Forest. So I stopped to wish on a shooting star.

Jeff wishes on a shooting star in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Lolly told me about one of her favorite books: 50 Ways to Get Out of a Pitfall. Hmm, I’m curious to see what those could be.

Lolly: On a day like today, it's hard not to think of one of my favorite books: 50 Ways to Get Out of a Pitfall.

  1. Climb out.
  2. Jump as high as you can.
  3. Get a friend to drop you a rope.
  4. Press the A button rapidly.
  5. ???

Tonight, I stopped at Club LOL to check out a musical performance from K.K. Slider. Dizzy and Peck were also at the show. The singing dog played K.K. Synth for us.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Synth.

Big Top wanted to move out of town on September 13th, but I talked him out of it.

My recent dream visitors have been Cheatsy from Insanity, Galaxy from Fortree, Patrick from Outset, Michael from Misthome, Daniela from Miranda, Raffaele from Marijoa, and Josh from Village. Thank you all for stopping by!
