Preparing for Toy Day

I’ve been checking out the campsite for igloos, and on Sunday, Baabara was inside. I already have her in my GameCube and Wild World towns, and that’s more than enough for me. A person can only handle so much Baabara.

Baabara: I'm just visiting Forest. But who knows? This place is so beautiful, I just might move here.
OVER MY DEAD BODY!

I purposely answered one of Gulliver’s questions wrong recently. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I wanted to see how much the chocolate coin sells for. It’s information I wanted to include on my new Gulliver Guide. Give it a look when you have Gulliver in town and don’t know the answer to his question! (Or if you just want to see what all of his items look like).

Reese: Ooh, a chocolate coin! I can take that item off your hands for 25 bells, if that's OK?
Only 25 bells? BUT IT’S CHOCOLATE!

Big Top sniffed out a fossil in my pockets, and he offered to buy it off me for 1,400 bells. I agreed to the deal.

Big Top: Would you ever consider selling your dinosaur egg to me? Up my nose?
How about I just hand it to you instead?

I’ve been continuing to collect Toy Day hints, and I now have all but two of them. So I should be able to complete the event without much trouble…unless an unexpected 10th villager moves in before then and throws me off.

As for Vivian, she made it clear that she will not be happy if she gets the wrong gift. 😛

Vivian: If I don't get what I want for Toy Day this year...I WILL BE DISPLEASED.

I remembered that I need something else for Toy Day–the Santa outfit! I know the shops should have all the items on Toy Day itself, but I wanted to prepare ahead of time, if possible. I’d be out of luck if I played after the shops were closed! But the only part of the outfit the shops had today was the beard. At least the beard will remind me to look for the other pieces. 😛

My recent dream visitors have been Yoshi from Actor, Mayounna from Amy Rose, Pinky from Catville, Maleah from Kirikun, and Lolo from Lolland. Thanks for stopping by!

A message on the bulletin board informed me that tomorrow is the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. In New Leaf, it stays dark the entire day! I don’t plan on blogging tomorrow, but I will likely blog on Sunday (Toy Day aka Christmas Eve). So I’ll see you then! In the meantime, I’ll be posting a new Animal Crossing: City Folk video on my Youtube channel tomorrow.

‘Tis the Season

Once the snow started falling, I noticed that Harvey put on a St. Patrick’s Day green hat. 😛

Big Top won last weekend’s fishing tournament, while Hornbsy was 2nd and Aurora was 3rd.

Snow covered the ground as of December 11th, and just today, festive lights started appearing on some cedar trees. That motivated me to get my frosty ice brick path out of (design) storage.

Even though I didn’t fully decorate my house for the season, I at least put up my white festive tree in the main room of my house.

My villagers have been giving me more Toy Day hints, but I don’t have all of them yet. Here’s what I know so far about what the animals want:

  • Agent S: something gray
  • Aurora: an umbrella
  • Big Top: a black doll
  • Boots: a pink lamp
  • Hornsby: a red plant
  • Molly: carpet
  • Rolf: a pink umbrella
  • Vivian: something pink

Vivian: Oh! I almost forgot. What I really want from Jingle this year is a pink present.

I’m not even sure if I’m going to play on Christmas Eve. But if I have most or all of my hints by then, I may play since it generally doesn’t take too long when you know what everyone wants.

Rolf told me that he wanted to move away…on December 25th! On Christmas Day? No way, tiger. You’re stuck here in Forest, like it or not.

Rolf: The 25th of this month sounds as good a day as any to leave!

Vivian asked to visit my house, and I stupidly let her come over. Even though she repeatedly said she would only visit for a minute, she hung around for at least 20 minutes. Why did I ever agree to this?

Vivian: Thanks for inviting me inside. I'll only be a minute--don't break out the hot cider or anything.

Not only that, but in my room full of monster masks, she said the room was SO me! Excuse me?! You’re the one that belongs in here, werewolf girl!

Vivian: Muffin, this room is SO you!

My recent dream visitors have been Oscar from Nugville, Alfredo from Smithson, Jake from Poketown, JenJen from Tall Oak, Abriana from MistWood, and Xavier from Quigley. Thank you all for visiting, and have a good weekend! 🙂

Shopping for Campers

Last Saturday, I got Lily’s goodbye letter in the mail. She included her picture with the letter. With Lily gone, I’ve now started to see Daisy up on Main Street! She’s a good dog.

Daisy: This is a nice part of town for both shopping and just taking a casual stroll around, bow-WOW.I forgot to mention this last time… But now that December is here, the shop sells glow wands and party poppers. I already have one of each glow wand in storage, but I always enjoy firing off party poppers.

Tommy: Ah, a party popper! A fine item, yes?I found Hornsby sleeping on the metal bench one night. He said he was brainstorming ways to stay awake, and it was so boring that he fell asleep. 😛

Hornsby: I'm awake now! I promise!Hornsby: I was brainstorming ways to stay awake, and it was so boring that I immediately fell asleep. Now that Forest has a villager vacancy, that means I’m able to “shop” for one each time there’s a camper in town. And I’ve actually had a couple of campers this past week. Unfortunately, they haven’t been anyone that I’ve wanted to invite to town.

Alice: Hello. I hope it's all right that I've decided to camp here. You have a lovely town.
No thanks.
Lucha: I'm not anyong suspicious!
Nope.

Still, it’s nice to have the option. My town has been full for so long that I haven’t had the opportunity for ages.

Today, I found a lost item on the ground.

I started asking my villagers about it, and I soon reunited it with its owner, Rolf. For returning the item (a book), Rolf gave me a checkered tee.

Rolf: Man, you saved my life!

When I ran into Bob, he told me he would be moving away on December 16th. But I changed his mind for him. I’m not letting him leave…yet.

I’ve been asked to include a link to my first New Leaf entry, so here it is: Moving In. Check it out if you’d like to relive the early days of Forest.

My recent dream visitors have been Dan from Yolk, Logan from New Leaf, Alfredo from Smithson, Wayland from Waypoint, Lily from Animala, and Kimo from Kaorie. Thank you all for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
