Entry 139: Amazing Ruined Meals

In late March, Nintendo finally announced something I've been hoping for: A new Tomodachi Life game! It's coming out for the original Nintendo Switch, but unfortunately not until 2026. If you'd like to see the trailer for it, you can see that here. In Tomodachi Life, I made some Quirky Questions about the upcoming game.

Who can't live without Living the Dream?
I also took a group photo of all of my Miis.

I hope there will be an easy way to transfer our islanders from 3DS to Nintendo Switch 2. Not just the Miis themselves, but the full characters with all their information (voice, birthday, personality, etc.).

I'd like to bring most of my Tomodachi Life islanders to the new game, although there are some I'd probably leave behind. Most of the sports characters can stay behind on 3DS, and I'd probably also leave out most of the Mii offspring (in other words, the kids that were born on my island). In addition, I'd probably not bring over some non-character Miis. But anyway, I'll get on with the latest happenings on my island.

At the morning market on March 28th, Weird Al was selling some ruined meals! Believe it or not, I was thrilled!

Weird Al: Step right up, and taste the most amazing ruined meals ever!
That was the only "garbage" food that I hadn't yet been able to fully stock up on! Before now, I've only received occasional ones, probably from the night market. Due to my limited supply, many of my islanders have never been able to eat this garbage! But now I gladly spent $9.80 to buy 98 of them, and I can't wait to make my islanders force it down!

On the Mii News in April, I saw that there was a strawberry outbreak sighted near Villager's home! The strawberries have never been seen in such quantities before!

Mii News: Strawberry Outbreak
Where did Villager get that home, though? I thought he lived in the apartment building. Okay, never mind that. Where is this seemingly infinite flood of berries coming from? Are there strawberry fields forever? Won't they fill the streets and make a traffic jam? I see Shaq is collecting the berries on the rebound, and he's ready to dunk them into a smoothie. They're berry good.

GOB asked me what he should say when he's mad, and of course I told him to say "Come on!"

GOB: Come on!
Skull later asked me for some new clothes, but I couldn't do it! He just wouldn't be himself in anything other than his skeleton suit! It's a bone-a fide classic! Changing his outfit would be a grave mistake!

Skull: I'd like some new clothes.
In late April, two more islanders (Breezy and Maeby) reached level 99. They are my 6th and 7th islanders to reach the maximum.

Breezy levels up to Level 99.Maeby levels up to Level 99.
Last week, Hailey told me that she doesn't waste time on frivolous things...like showers. The odd part is that she said this immediately after taking a bath! Showers are quicker than baths!

Hailey: I don't waste my time on frivolous things. Like showers. Who needs 'em?
On Tuesday, I saw on the Mii News that Miss Piggy stubbed her toe on a travel ticket while running to answer the phone.

Mii News: Horrific Toe-Stubbing Incident

She couldn't move for an entire minute, and then she wondered why we have pinky toes anyway.

After the incident, Miss Piggy asked irritatedly, Why do we have to have pinky toes anyway?!
Some toes need to stick around after this little piggy went to market.
You know how they show a couple of islanders' reactions to each story? They showed Marina, and it made me laugh when I saw what she had to say about Piggy's painful pinky piggy predicament:

Marina: That put me in a really good mood.
Later, I gave SpongeBob some white bread, and he started dancing on the sea floor! It is his all-time favorite food!

I should call him SpongeBob SquareDance.
I've now found three of his four special reaction foods, and I've updated my foods page.

Weird Al told me he had feelings for Rosalina, and he asked her out in the concert hall. But before she could answer him, Batman also showed up!

Batman magically appears in the concert hall.
Where did he come from? Up in the rafters? Well, he must not have been alone, because The Count also rolled on by, up in the air!

The Count flies by.

However, Rosalina turned them all down. She's currently dating Tobias, after all.

Weird Al, Batman, and The Count are all depressed after being turned down by Rosalina.

Yesterday, Skull told me that he always reaches for the milk at the back of the shelf (at the grocery store). Milk may be good for bones, but I don't think he'll be able to absorb much of the calcium without a stomach or intestines. He's just going to end up crying over spilled milk.

Skull: I always go for the milk at the back of the shelf. It's the freshest.
GOB told me he recently had a fight with Gaston, and he was still angrily waving his arms around.

GOB: I had a fight with Gaston. I'm so upset!

I gave him some food to calm him down, and then he patched things up with the resident rabbit.

GOB, to Gaston: I'm sorry about what happened.

Shortly after that, I sold some things at the pawn shop. My balance reached $800,000!

My wallet reaches $800k...well, $800,090.34 to be exact.

Today, I played a round of (sumo) football with SpongeBob. It's a tricky game to get a good screenshot from, and SpongeBob pushed me back a bit as I took this picture.

But I did recover and won the game.

What are you all hoping to see in the next game, Living the Dream? Leave a comment below!

There are still four married couples on my island, and my Quality of Life rating is up to 242 stars now. I hope to see you again next time!
