Cold Winter Night

I started up the game on this cold winter night and started to pull some weeds. I talked to the animals I saw along the way, including Puck, who I apparently hadn’t spoken to in five weeks.

Puck: Every time night falls, I head out searching for you, but nope, nothing!I saw an igloo and went inside; Genji was the villager inside. He offered to play a game with me, and I agreed to it. He wanted to buy my snow bunny (the one I won in an igloo for free last week). There are three prices on three cards. I get to pick one, and then he will react to the price. Based on his reaction, I can stick with the card or try another one. So basically, he’s going to try to bluff me into a bad decision. I picked the card on the right, and he said “That’s not too bad…”  I stuck with that card and he ended up paying 2,650 bells for the snow bunny.

Genji: Boy, did I get burned on that one, melonhead!I talked to Portia (my newest neighbor) and she told me she went fishing with her boyfriend today. She said she didn’t catch anything, but her boyfriend caught a catfish, which made him happy. Of course Portia is a dog, so I’m not sure if the catfish reference was a dog/cat joke or just a coincidence.

Portia: He caught catfish. Oh, that made him so happy.I stopped by the wishing well to check on my town status (after I had plucked a bunch of weeds) and thankfully, I still had perfect town status.

Everything is perfect! Forest is a very liveable place.I then stopped at the post office to deposit some bells, passed by the dump (nothing good today), and then headed for home.
