Black Cat and Rainbows

I found a goodbye letter from Lily in the mail yesterday. 🙁 I hate to see that she’s hopped town, but such is life. Goodbye, Lily. We’ll meet again somewhere.

Dear Jeff, I know this is sudden, but... I had to leave the village. I don't know where I'm headed, but don't worry--I'll get by somehow. Thanks for all you've done for me! Farewell! -Lily!

But despite the bad start to my session, things did improve. Moments later, I met my newest neighbor: Kiki the black cat! She’s one of my favorites!

Kiki: Hi! Nice to meet you.

She has lived in Forest before, back in 2013. It’s good to have her back! 🙂

Just a few acres away, I got another surprise: Another rainbow!

Looking at the rainbow in the waterfall.

This is the 2nd time this year I’ve seen a rainbow, and just my 4th time overall! Here’s the view from the other side.

The rainbow as seen from the top of the waterfall in Forest.

The daily glowing spot was almost hidden behind the edge of a cliff, but it contained a surprise: 30,000 bells instead of the usual 1,000. It must be my lucky day!

Check it out! I dug up 30,000 bells!

When I ran into Baabara, she was interested in my mini dingloid. Uh, my gyroid. She wanted to give me a garden stone for it, and I agreed to the trade.

Baabara: You're not as think as you look! But that's great! I've wanted a mini dingloid forever!
Ummm…

I played again today, and Belle sent me a G logo shirt in the mail. I decided to put it on.

Emerald was talking about the morning aerobics that are now underway. She encouraged me to get up at 6 a.m. to participate, even though she called me a “lazybones.”

Emerald: I know getting up by 6:00 every morning must be rough on a lazybones like yourself, but come on!

But she told me to imagine how good breakfast will taste after a hard morning workout. (But I’d still rather sleep in, if I can.) 😛

Emerald: Think about how great breakfast tastes after a hard, sweaty morning workout, sproing!

Belle told me that she picked an apple tree clean, and she gave me a free apple. Thanks, Belle!

Belle: It's sooo much better than letting them go bad! Rotten fruit is, like, the grossest thing in the world.

But she insisted that she still had 54 apples left! I’ve never found more than three apples on a tree, so I wonder what magic tree she’s been shaking. 😆

Belle: OK, so now I have 54 left, cuddles!
