Fishing for a Million

On Tuesday (September 8th), I unfortunately found a goodbye letter from Kiki in the mail. I’m sad to see her go.

Dearest Jeff, I'm moving. There, I said it. I'd tell you where I'm going, but if you were to come to visit, I...just know I'd cry. Please forgive me for going. This is how things must be. Take care! -Kiki

Her replacement was Zoe the anteater, who moved into the plot next to Candi. That’s the spot where Yuka once lived, many years ago! Zoe may not be my favorite, but at least she’s no Yuka. 😛

Zoe: My name is Zoe. I hope I'll be seeing a lot more of you from now on!

It was raining in town, and Puck wasn’t happy about it. He hoped that it was just a passing shower.

Puck: Let's hope it's just a passing shower, brrrrrrrrr.

Of course, there’s no such thing as a passing shower on GameCube. When it’s a rainy day, it rains the entire day.

I took advantage of the great September fishing by catching plenty of red snappers, barred knifejaws, and several coelacanths as well (thanks to the rain).

I caught a living fossil! I didn't know they really existed!
Tom Nook: If I add it all up, my price comes to 99,000 bells. You will sell, yes?

I filled my pockets up repeatedly, making over 450k in total on Tuesday.

I played again yesterday, and after Puck showed me a letter, he warned me to watch out when he’s hungry. 😛

Puck: Well, whatever. I'm hungry right now, and when I'm hungry, WATCH OUT!
Somebody needs a Snickers. 😛

Peewee asked me to buy his skull shirt for 660 bells. Since October (and Halloween) are right around the corner, I decided to buy it and put it on. 💀

Peewee: Yeah, it's a skull shirt. I'll sell it for 660 bells. What do you think?

I found Gulliver down on the beach, and he gave me a free tribal mask. I wish he would give me one of those in Wild World, since it’s the only Gulliver item I don’t have in that game.

It wasn’t raining yesterday, so there weren’t any more coelacanths out. But I still did some more fishing. Unfortunately, a few sea bass have started to return. I wish there was an option to throw fish back even when your pockets aren’t full! I don’t need these things!

I caught a sea bass! See? Bass! (Why do I keep saying things like that!?)

My fishing haul scored me over 200k yesterday.

I played again today, and Hank was blown away by the fact that I had a salmon. 😆

Hank: Oh my gosh! You've got a salmon?!

He wanted to trade his pear for it, and I agreed to the exchange. If it makes you that excited, go enjoy that salmon, Hank. 😆

I went on my third and final fishing run of September. By the time I was done, I had completely filled up the dump with garbage I’ve fished from the ocean this week.

A dump full of garbage fished out of the ocean this September.

I earned over 300k tonight, which pushed this week’s total up to one million bells. That was my (unspoken) goal coming in, so I’m glad I reached that milestone even though the sea bass showed up before I was ready for them. 😆 I should have started earlier in the month, but oh well.

See you all next month!

  1. I had back to back rainy days on Sunday and Monday and the one day I played in my secondary town it was also raining. I made almost 500,000 bells just on Sunday.
