I started the game up and got a letter in the mail from Crazy Redd, saying that he would be in town July 2 (tomorrow). I found the daily glowing spot and dug up 10,000 bells…nice! I buried a shovel in the still-glowing spot to (hopefully) create a new golden tree.

I went by the dump and saw a strange painting–it’s not often you find a painting in the dump! Penny offered to sell me a caveman tunic for 1,410 bells. Does she think I’m a rich caveman? I declined.

On the way back home, I saw Kody once again intrigued with a mosquito that was buzzing around. No offense, but I think he needs a hobby. 😀

I also played some NES Pinball and set a new high score: 138,630 points. I noticed that once you top 100,000 points, your flippers turn invisible! At first I thought it was a glitch, but I looked it up online and saw that it’s normal. Just to add a little challenge, I guess.

I started up the game to find it was storming in Forest tonight. I made my way over to the police station, catching a saw stag beetle along the way. I talked to Copper, and he told me about the “extremely showy car” parked in acre E-2. I noticed that the word “campaign” was spelled correctly this time. So I headed over to E-2, where I washed Gracie’s car.

Her car was spotless after I washed it, but I doubt it stayed that way long, since we were in the middle of a thunderstorm. She gave me a grape shirt for my trouble. Unfortunately, that was not one of the four Gracie shirts I still need for my catalog. But still, I decided to wear the shirt for now.

I stopped at the post office and then headed home to play some NES Pinball. I played two games of it, but I didn’t beat my high score from yesterday. I definitely want to top 100,000 at some point this week though.

For ACC’s Clu Clu Land high score contest, I ended up with third place. This week’s game is Pinball. I didn’t have the game in my basement, so I went to Nookington’s and ordered it. I then saved/quit my game and restarted to force the mail delivery, then gave Pinball a try.

I do generally like pinball video games, but this one’s just average. The sound effects don’t sound very good and there’s no music during gameplay. I think good sound is important in a pinball game, since it can you something to enjoy while you’re watching the ball bouncing around. After playing about four games of it, I ended with a high score of 94,160. I’ll probably try to improve my score again later in the week.

After I was done with that, I walked around and pulled up a few weeds. I talked to Tom the cat, who was doing his impression of the other Tom in town, Tom Nook.

I also stopped to ask Copper about upcoming events. He told me the police station will be running their B.I.P. (Bust Illegal Parkers) campaign tomorrow. In other words, that means Gracie and her car will be in town tomorrow. And I’m not sure if I ever noticed before, but there was a typo in his text. He spelled it “campain” instead of “campaign.”
