Turning on the Lighthouse

This was my first night of lighthouse duty (at least for this year, I have done it several times in the past). After selling some things at Nook’s, I headed to the lighthouse and went inside. I pulled the lever to turn the lighthouse on.

Inside the Animal Crossing lighthouse. After watching the gears spin around for a few seconds, I went outside and admired my work.

Outside the lighthouse after turning it on.With my task done for the night, I just went to the post office to deposit some money and mail some fossils away.

Phyllis: Yes, yes. In it goes!

Tortimer’s Vacation

It was snowing today in Forest. Even Puck the penguin seemed to be tired of the snow!

Puck: The snow's relentless, huh? I think it's trying to snow us in.When I went by the wishing well, Tortimer was there to ask me a favor. He’s going on vacation tomorrow and he wants me to turn the lighthouse on every night from tomorrow until the 26th.

Tortimer: I'm going to be taking an official vacation to this tropical island tomorrow. If you’d like to see a video showing the process of turning the lighthouse on, check this out: Animal Crossing – Inside the Lighthouse. So I’ll have to remember to turn it on every night for the next week.

I later saw an igloo and went inside. Purrl was inside and she really liked the look of my mini dinkoid.

Purrl: Oh hey, Jeff. That's a really nice-looking mini dinkoid you've got there. We played a game to determine the price she would pay me for it. I lost the game, so she only paid me 490 bells for it. By next Saturday, there will be no more igloos around; the snow will be completely gone as of February 25th.

I did my usual things: Picked weeds, checked my town status, dug up gyroids/fossils, mailed some fossils, checked the dump, etc. and then headed for home. But Kody was right outside my house, creeping around. I talked to him, and as I did, I noticed something: The flowers have no stems!

Kody: But they're all so tiny!
