Igloo Time

I started up the GameCube version of Animal Crossing for the first time in 2012 tonight. I got a goodbye letter from Mallary. My duck has left me.

Mallary's goodbye letter.I went to meet my new neighbor Portia de Rossi. She’s a female dog.

Portia: It's a pleasure to meet you.I saw an igloo by the river, so I went inside.

An igloo by the river.Baabara was inside. I played one of her igloo games and won a snow bunny for free! I decided to quit while I was ahead.

Baabara: Whoa! Ulp! You got it! I'm shocked, daahling.Other than that, I just went around town, pulling weeds and talking to animals. I also went in my house and killed some roaches before I ended my game.

Christmas Eve

I started up the game and it was snowing. The Christmas music was also playing, with heavy use of jingle bells. And of course there are still lights on the trees, so it all has a festive atmosphere.

A special message to you all! Happy holidays!Tom Nook wasn’t feeling so festive though, as his daily flyer advertised an item not usually associated with Christmas.

Hot News! We have a special offer today on a stunning toilet.I caught up with Jingle, the black-nosed reindeer.

Jingle: Happy holidays! I'm Jingle, the black-nosed reindeer!I also talked to many of my animals. Baabara, being the horrible sheep she is :P, had nothing nice to say.

Baabara: I'm sorry! I forgot that you poor folk can't afford the variety of delicious treats that I can!I found Jingle a couple more times, but you have to find him five times before he will start giving you Jingle furniture. That’s a bit of a pain, and it’s the main reason I prefer Christmas Eve on City Folk instead. I didn’t play the GameCube game long enough to find him five times, but I still wanted to play the game and talk to Jingle at least a couple times.

Jingle: It's the size of the gift that counts, you know!Merry Christmas, everyone!

Snooty Out, Mallary In

It was a chilly winter night in Forest, but the snow and Christmas lights made it a pleasant place to be.

Christmas trees in my town.I got a goodbye letter in the mail from Snooty.

Snooty's goodbye letter.I went to go meet my new neighbor Mallary. These are the first words she said to me:

Mallary: Stop shouting! I'm right here! I can hear you fine, quackpth!I didn’t do a whole lot tonight, I mainly just talked to some animals and pulled some weeds. It’s nice just to take in the atmosphere and music this time of year.
