Yuka has now left town completely. I got her goodbye letter in the mail today.
Then I went around town and watered my flowers. I had two new black roses today.
Everything indicated that today was a UFO day, so I got ready for it. The UFO indeed came at 6:02, and I heard it pass overhead…but I didn’t see it. But it makes a return trip in the opposite direction immediately afterwards, so I ran up and down my main north-south path to see which horizontal line it was coming on. I then saw it on the northernmost path, moving right to left.
Because of where the river is, my best move was to cross the river and catch it on the other side, near the museum. After crossing the bridge, I heard the UFO coming close…but Anabelle got in my way and blocked me (with the help of a tree)! As I started to panic, I frantically tried to run around her (and the tree) and just barely got to the UFO in time!
Whew, that was a close one. Too close for comfort. Because you don’t have to just hit the UFO while it’s in town, you have to hit it before it gets too close to the edge of town. If you hit it too close, the spaceship part may fall outside of town and then you’re out of luck. But fortunately, I had enough space and I was able to recover the spaceship part. This was #21 for me.
After that exciting UFO chase, I was relieved to have the spaceship part in my possession. I then ended my game for the day. I’ll be sure to visit Gulliver tomorrow.
Today, I went to the city to check this week’s new emotions.
I then came back to town and watered my flowers. I’m starting to get frustrated by the lack of rain lately. The rain provides occasional breaks from watering, which makes the whole process somewhat tolerable. But when there is no rain and you have to water flowers every single day, it gets to be a pain. On the bright side, I did find two new black roses today.
Around 8:30, Megan also came over to visit. Megan and Yann had both caught rays, so they showed them off while I showed off a Napoleonfish I caught. Egbert quickly came over to see.
He was facing the fish and applauding (for the fireworks), but I know he was really trying to nibble the fish.
I then wondered aloud where my manners were; I forgot to burn Megan!
Yann put on her dandy hat and Megan seemed shocked. She apparently had never seen the dandy hat in City Folk before. I asked if she wanted me to order one for her. Yann then asked who I was talking to… I said Megan obviously, since you already have one. 😛
And at one point, somebody got me started on blue foods. Blue is an uncommon color for food, so for me, it’s hard to think of blue things as food. That includes blue m&m’s, which are unnatural and don’t grow on real m&m trees. 😉
As for bugs and fish, I earned over 100,000 bells in less than an hour. By the time I closed my gate around 9:30, I finished with 115,000 bells on the night.
At 11:00, we did the Able Sisters’ door glitch. I was outside and they were stuck in the door. But before I gave them the signal to come out, I planted a pitfall seed. Yann ended up in it.
We continued catching bugs, even as we made dinosaur puns.
I told them that this Sunday would be my last fireworks festival of the year, since I wouldn’t be online the following Sunday. For some reason, they found something hilarious about that. I had no idea what was so funny and things started getting awkward.
We later re-did our lamp shock/applause routine that we did two weeks ago. I wasn’t recording when we did it the first time, so I wanted to give it another try. It wasn’t funny this time, but that may have just been the mood I was in.
I was thinking about closing my gate by 12:30, but then Megan said she was going anyway. So I ended the party and then sold the remainder of my bugs. I made over 200,000 bells on the night.
